Lois had arrived in her home village of Jelang late at night. Her sister Alice had come to meet the train. Alice was an unassuming lady but had a very gentle demeanor. Of all of Lois' relatives, Alice was the most honest and straightforward. She never looked down on anyone. Unlike Lois, Alice respected her siblings and their parents.
