Chapter 31

"What happened, my wifey?" Blake stroked my cheeks while I was standing there in double-minded not knowing whether to tell him the incidents or not. By God's grace, he didn't ask anything about that night and if I tell him about the syringe and Rakesh's new revelation, he definitely pulls me to the end until I tell him why did I go to that place without his concern.  Rakesh is his best friend, at least I can say he cares for him. So telling him a piece of news about our new discovery would cause damage to their friendship.  "Nothing...I was just worried about Emiem. She has been crying for a while." I lied. Plea

Chapter 32

"I know whatever you told me on that day was a complete lie. I don't want to push your buttons but remember one thing that I'm here to listen to your heart." Blake's sudden outburst caused my heartbeat to accelerate fast.  Even though I was shivering inside I masked my face with a fake smile and said, "You must have misunderstood me." I didn't meet his gaze as I felt he was looking in my direction, his intense stare drilled a hole in the back of my head when I turned around to put my phone in the charger.  Seconds later I heard the cracking sound of a chair that gave me a clue that he has left his work whatever he was doing on his laptop just to approach my direction. "Look at me." He grabbed my hand and made me turn t

Chapter 33

I gave him my best puppy dog face to extinguish his anger. Huh! He was neither angry nor sad. He was just worried about me. That's all but he shows his any kind of affection in the form of anger whether it be love, guilt, or sad, that I learned on another day when we were trapped inside that wrecked buildings where he carried me in his arms just because I was so weak to walk by myself.  "It will not work." He sounds unsure. Hahaha... it affected him.  "Please... please... please.." I pouted my lips making my face more innocent than it ever would be.  "Reil. I know you are very passionate about your work but what

Chapter 34

One week has passed since my so-called injured leg cured completely but Blake was so adamant to accept the fact. For him, the incidents happened just a while ago, as well the wound was fresh as a Kashmiri apple.  I even run around our room to let him know I'm completely alright but that rod head was not even convinced a bit. After explaining my involvement in the project, mainly in my stable state, he literally permitted me to go to the centre.  That's how I ended up in my cabin pacing back and forth while reading the book "The Hidden Secrets" for the nth time. The memory was so fresh when Rakesh gave me this book just to get a credit but, instead, he got a heavy hit on his head.

Chapter 35

"Hey! Such a disappointment!" With the slumped shoulders Blake called out from afar when he saw my Scooty is approaching towards our house.  Hugh! Did he know I went to the bungalow? Geez!! I'm dead meat. "Why?" I asked as much as politely. If he was angry with me I would cease his anger with my humble behaviour.  "Your hair-" He pointed his index fingers towards my head. Yeah! I have plenty of hair on my head. What happened now?  "You didn't colour it?" His perfect brows raised together where his eyes shot me a questioning look.

Chapter 36

"Blake! Trust me. I'm alright." I gave him a pity look while my inter mind was ready to burst out of anger. For these days I was acting like a drama queen. For a second I was in a happy mode and in an instant it changes into sour.  "Your cold coffee cooled my burning body." I admit truthfully. Just a while ago my body was burning like someone threw fuel on me and ignited the fire, but after I drank the whole coffee which Blake made for me, I feel good. But he was not convinced yet.  "Please take rest." He pleaded instead; his eyes were roaming through my body as scanning my whole inner tissues whether it was cooled down nor still burning.

Chapter 37

The rest of the day passed like a rollercoaster like I put my head inside the grinder, every time scared of thinking of who is going to put the switch ON and take my life off.  It's damn sure that the chosen girl by Heil is me but... How did it happen?  I mean I didn't feel any strange feeling when I was lonely or with my colleagues or even with Blake as someone from afar is watching me. I always felt secured and safe, especially in Blake's arm.  The Book said changes will happen once Heil has sex wi

Chapter 38

"You are---" My voice trembled unable to process the next word. For these days I have been looking for Heil but that cunning monster is with me, along with playing my life.  Why life is treating me with this cruelty. What I have ever done to get punished by nature. The only man I had been possessive with has died when I was thirteen, and the only man I have been in love with is the bloody Heil who I thought my soul mate.  "You are Heil, aren't you?" I threw him a disgusting glare. He is the hunting monster who killed thousands of innocent people for his thirst. A bloody blood-sucking monster.  "I will explain--"

Chapter 39

He prisoned me in the hut, what we called our sweet home once upon a time. He tied my hands and legs to the bed not enough to move a bit because I tried to escape when he brought me to his so-called home that hoisted up his anger at a high level. He is going to torture me in his own way. Maybe he won't give me food and leave me to starve let alone by myself because I didn't keep his child.  I aborted his little monster that was growing inside my human womb without my cognizance. As you have known already I did pregnancy tests what seemed to like more than ten times whenever I felt the continues nausea but the little monster inside me didn't show up in the kit, it clearly told me that it's not any kind of normal human being.

Chapter 40

"Miem---" I shuttered looking between them not knowing whether I should run to their arm to tell the cruel truth about Blake, nor show my casualty just to save them from the hunting monster who was standing beside me having a sinister smirk on his face.  "Ehooho--" Emiem eyed the floor suspiciously before turns her attention towards me, her eyebrows shot me a questioning look whereas in the corner of my eyes I saw Rakesh was nodding his head looking at Blake and when he caught me staring at him, he shot me a forceful smile then patted Emiem's shoulders before whispering something naughty to her, cause when he finished his whisper, my friend giggled like a high school teenager not bothering to ask why there was shattered food on the floor.
