Chapter 11

"Hello?! Is anybody here? Can someone hear me?!" I yelled so many times near the door. Hoping for a miracle to happen. I searched for things which could at least help me escape here but I only saw scissors. I forced myself to insert it on the locked door but accidentally slipped causing my hand to have a little cut. When I failed, I chose to sit on the floor. What if someone hasn't heard me. All the students on the campus were already resting themselves comfortably on their home. And all I can do is to wait here until tomorrow morning. I will sleep here all alone with flying insects or rats running nearby. Gosh! I'm getting paranoid. I stood up and kicked the door making my feet hurt. I don't know what I should be concerned about first. Either my growling stomach, my wound or how to escape here. I shouted once again as loud as I could. I don't care if my veins would be cut off or my voice would turn hoarse. My desire to escape here prevails. But… I see no hopes here.Maybe I shoul

Chapter 12

I stared at Kuya Jon's phone for a minute. I can't memorise any of their numbers. Even mom, dad or Jordan's contact. I made a facepalm and simultaneously snapped my fingers on the air. Think Amber! Think!  "Is there a problem, Ms. Ferrer?" Kuya Jon asked in curiosity.

Chapter 13

The next day, I asked Lily to have lunch with me. I can't eat well in dining alone, it feels boring and empty. For the past few days at home, I ate only a few and sometimes asked our housemaids to eat with me at the table. With much presence around me while eating is better.  "Amber!" Lily greeted as soon as she arrived here in the cafeteria. She planted a kiss on my cheek before putting down her books and bag on the table.  "I missed you, Lily!" I exclaimed, grabbing her hand to sit beside me.  She groaned a little when her waist bumped on the table. I smiled sheepishly and gave her a peace sign. She rolled her eyes then hugged me tight.  "It's been a year or a decade since we last met," we laughed when she said those words in sarcasm.  She pulled herself away from me. "Do you have colds?" she asked, scanning me up and down before touching my forehead. Y

Chapter 14

I looked up to meet Jordan's sight. I made a half smile then scratched my cheek.  "Why are you crying, Amber? Any problem?" he asked again.  I rubbed my eyes and jotted my bottom lip down. "My eyes have dust inside, so itchy," I lied. Lily on my side gave me a wink.  He drew near me then scanned my face and eyes. I crossed my finger at my back, wishing him to be convinced. My lips instantly curved when he cupped my face.  "That must be very itchy. Do we need to call your doctor?"  Uh-oh. Doomed.  "No need Jordan, she's fine. I already checked her. I'm hungry, can we have our lunch?" Lily said, holding Jordan's arm. He pulled himself away from me and stood up straight.  "Sure. Let's get in, my treat," he answered. Lily and I exchange stares. Those war freaks are still inside.  I

Chapter 15

As soon as I arrived at home, I immediately plopped myself on the couch. I removed my sneakers then placed my feet on the center table. This day is tiresome. I leaned my back on the seat, massaging my temples. How was it possible to feel all the tiredness when I arrived here? I haven't felt this earlier in the Gymnasium.  "Ma'am Amber, Sir Marcus wants to talk to you." Charie, standing right next to me cooed. I was tired going upstairs just to answer his call. Why won't he just call me on the phone.  "Can you please tell him to phone me instead? Thank you," I replied, still in closed eyes.  Her presence suddenly lost. Maybe she's heading her way upstairs, to the library where the telephone was. Just a few minutes later, I received a call from Marcus.  "Hey," I lazily greeted.  "Are you fine? You sound sick," he chuckled on the other line. &nb

Chapter 16

My day went smooth, I did my normal routine as a student. Attend a class, study in the library and eat together with Lily and Jordan. No Celestine and the two nuts. No Blake in my sight. No stress, everything went alright.  I think I was brought to the old times where I entered the campus peacefully and full of positive vibes. Just a wonderful day to be thankful for.  Afternoon came and the school had a small number of present students because of the weather. Cold cloudy day with a touch of a wind, swaying the green leaves of trees. Maybe this was what Marcus was saying last night.  I went to Gymnasium to check the situation and the people working there. I scanned the area, only a few of them who were present.  "Amber!" Carla waved her hand to catch my attention. I smiled at her. Way back then, Steph greets me like Carla does. How I miss her presence.  "Y

Chapter 17

Imagine being together with the man who always ruins your day. Being locked in during a stormy night and almost got a heart attack from fear. I closed my eyes, trying to calm myself. What takes Kuya Jon so long to make his rounds here? I want to go home.  I instantly screamed when the light turned off followed by a thunderbolt. I tried to pick up my phone and dialed Jordan's number again and again but he is out of coverage. Everything was wrong timing. I wonder if they already lost their signals. A tear suddenly escaped to my eyes as I saw another flashes of lightning. This is so traumatising. Being in this kind of weather gave me only a chance to squeeze on my parents' bed or sleep in Marcus' room while he slept on the floor.  I jolted at once when a blare crack of thunderclaps struck again. Plus, the loud pitter-patter of the rain outside adds my fright. I tried calling random people on my contacts but my sig

Chapter 18

"Celestine would surely hit me if she knew about this." I smirked as I uttered those words. Knowing her and her back-ups? Nah. They won't stop me until she could keep Blake on her liver.  Blake caressed my hair like he was making a pet to calm. "Don't worry about her. Let her be," he replied.  As he said earlier, we remained to our position. For once, I am giving my trust to him. We talked about random things in this dark room until the topic shifted to Celestine Anderson.  "I am always letting her pester me just like you do. That would be fine but her jealousy might drive her to kill me," I voiced out causing him to chuckle.  "I am pestering you? Ah. That hurts me, Amber." I hissed when he chortled.  "She can't be jealous. She's not my girlfriend," he deadpanned. I raised my head up a little to see if he looks serious. He was really dead serious. But how

Chapter 19

I was smiling the whole time for unknown reason as the cold air welcomed us in the parking area. Well, maybe I was just happy to be back home and the thunderstorm has calmed.  I walked a little distant from the area to check the weather while holding my phone's flashlight. This seems useful this time. I opened my arms to check how strong the rain was but a minute later, I felt no touch of water on my skin.  "Amber, let's go?" Blake invited me. Thunder on the other hand, rubber her eyes. He must be disturb from sleeping.  "I will go ahead, Blake, Amber." The tired Thunder bid his goodbye. I nodded in response while Blake tapped his shoulders.  "Thanks, Thunder." Blake and I greeted in unison.  He quickly rode off to his motorbike and vroom it away. I stared at his back until he zoomed out. I hope he can go home safely.  Blake came

Chapter 20

Afternoon came, Lily and I decided to shop for a dress for the upcoming Masquerade Party next week. We agreed to meet in the Parking area at Five o'clock so I hurriedly went to Gymnasium after class to appoint Carla in facilitating the volunteers for this day. While Steph extended her vacation in Europe.  "No problem, Amber. You can trust me on this," Carla answered with a wink. I gave her a hug before exiting the area.  Taking my way in the hall, I noticed a shining stud from afar. To confirm, it was Blake who was making his toothy grin on me. He's so adorable wearing his basketball uniform and a bag hung on his right shoulder.  "Good afternoon, pretty Amber," Andrie greeted with a wink. This guy is really fond of calling me pretty Amber. That was sweet but kinda cringe.  "Hey, Amber!" Brix and the other basketball players also greeted simultaneously except for Thunder who just n
