Gillian panicked at the mayor's comment. She watched helplessly as the mayor took away my submitted documents and indicated that he would handle it for me soon.

Gillian walked ahead of me the whole way home. She must be trying to think of a way; after all, my actions would foil their whole plan.

In my previous life, I lost three family members and was grieving in complete silence. I had no time to even think about this. I did not even see the death certificates of my mother-in-law and Raymond.

At that time, Gillian personally took care of Raymond's and my mother-in-law's burial. I was particularly grateful to her at that time.
