Chapter 6

Another half an hour passed by. There were only five minutes left until the wedding started.

"Why isn't she here yet?" My father got increasingly anxious as he kept calling me, but all he got was the busy tone.

Brenda continued displaying the understanding side of her. "How about if I go and check the entrance? She might be waiting for the perfect moment to give you the surprise."

My father nodded, but the look in his eyes got grimmer. He was starting to breathe heavily as well. I knew that he was starting to feel anxious. His manic depression was about to set in. He had to be injected with a mild sedative.

Fortunately, his assistant had been working by his side for years and had it prepared. He quickly helped my father to the resting room.

He saw Lily admiring herself in the mirror the moment he opened the door.

My father was stunned.

He looked at her in disbelief, his eyes widening with shock as he stared at Lily posing in front of the mirror.

I floated around even more sadly
