I watched emotionlessly as Shawn had a meltdown. “Save me the talk. I left you because I don’t love you anymore.”

Shawn pulled me back from leaving.

His red-rimmed eyes reflected sadness and anger. “Don’t make yourself out to be the victim. Are you sure you are not at all to blame for the way things ended between us despite our 10-year relationship?”

To be frank, I was not the type to explain myself to others.

However, I knew we would never move on until I gave Shawn closure.
