My phone froze for a moment from the barrage of calls and texts.

I rejected all the calls, but I was spammed with constant text messages.

Most of the messages came from Shawn.

[Where are you, Jessica?]

[Why did you put a video of me and Casey in the bedroom on display? Why did you show the guests a photo of us kissing under the Northern Lights? When did you take a video of us?]

[Were you home that day? Why didn’t you tell me?]

[Things aren’t as you think. Come back. I can explain everything!]

[Why did you sell the shares to Colt? He now holds 1% more shares than me, giving him absolute authority in the company. You know the beef I have with him.]

[I’m not accusing or blaming you for anything. I was caught in a moment when I kissed Casey the other day. We have been together for ten years. You’re the woman I want to marry. You’ve been planning for this wedding. You’ll be back to finish it, right?]
