It was only then that I realized this woman was Tess, Trent's childhood friend. She was also the one who had given Lucy those photoshopped pictures that made it seem like I was having an affair.

As expected, Trent hadn't spared a single one of them from his wrath.

Without paying them any attention, Trent looked at me with a gentle gaze and asked, "Would you like to do the honors for our child's sake, Roxy?"

As I looked at him, he signaled for his bodyguard to hand me a whip that he had specially made.

"Their lives are now in your hands," he said.

I took a deep breath and walked toward Lucy, whose eyes were filled with fear.

She tried to plead with me, saying, "Roxanne, I know you're a kind person. You won't do this to me—"

But I gave her a painful lash and said, "I'm only kind to those who deserve it."

Lucy screamed in pain before pleading with me even harder.

"I was fooled into thinking you had an affair and bore a bastard! You can't blame me for that! Please, spare my life!"
