Seraphine's reaction was a surprise to both me and Rose.

More accurately, there was no reaction from her at all.

She remained indifferent as she said, "Oh. So what? He can die for all I care."

Rose's eyes reddened as she forcefully held back her tears. Fiery rage consumed her as she shouted, "How could you say something like that?"

Seraphine curled her lips into a smirk and retorted mockingly, "What do you want me to say, then? Rose, are you making up crude lies because you're worried that I might take Leo from you, now that I'm back? You just said that he's dead so that I can give up on him, right?"

Overwhelmed by anger, Rose shoved Seraphine slightly.

Staggering several steps backward, Seraphine sneered. "You're mad because I just exposed your lies! You so-called siblings are each more infuriating than the last."

Rose tried to lunge forward, but amidst the pushing and shoving, she lost her balance and fell instead.
