George stepped forward, but my father grabbed his pant leg before he could speak.

"Captain Zachary, this is fake. This isn't my daughter, right?" A glimmer of hope appeared in my father's eyes, making him look like a father worried for his daughter.

However, George kicked my father aside, took out a pair of handcuffs behind him, and cuffed my father.

"Mr. Xavier, your former butler reported you to the police for murder and hiding a body. We have surveillance footage as evidence," George explained and shook his phone. "Unfortunately, this is your daughter."

"No way! It can't be! My daughter isn't dead. No way! She must've gone on holiday. She used a fake corpse to trick me!" My father struggled fiercely even though he was cuffed. His eyes filled with despair.
