Chapter 9

Tristan's hand was severely injured. His bones were crushed, and he would have a hard time writing with it again.

Nonetheless, that had nothing to do with me anymore.

Three months later, I went to the hospital to take my cast off. My right hand had healed nicely.

After selling off the house the Scotts gave Mom and me, I moved back to my old family home. I hung Mom's and Dad's portraits on the south wall of the house. When the sun rose every morning, it would light up their smiles, making it look as if they'd come back to life.

Tristan continued to hang around me. He kept refusing to leave no matter what I did to get rid of him, and out of fury, I would call Mrs. Scott. Not only did she have to apologize for his behavior, but she even had to pay for it.

Every time I complained about Tristan to her, she would transfer me a huge sum of money to appease me.

Well, on account of the money, I decided not to hold Tristan's actions against him.
