EMMA
"I thought she hated me, but now I realize I’m in her debt," I said to him, my voice soft.
"Lily is a sweet girl. I've known her for years. Even though she knows we’re doing something wrong, her loyalty lies with me," he replied, and I gave him a small, grateful smile.
"Where were you when I was being assaulted?" I asked, frustration rising in my voice, my eyes brimming with tears.
"I was trapped in my father’s lies. He told me he would begin the ritual to break the curse tomorrow, but I didn’t know he was betraying me by sending Mason to your room," he confessed, wiping my tears away with a gentle touch. "I was working in my room to stop the ritual when Lily came to me and told me what had happened. I ran to you, and I swear I’ll never let anything harm you again."
I looked up at him, my heart heavy with emotion. "He touched me, Elijah, and I felt filthy... like I wasn’t worth anything."
His muscles tensed at my words, his expression darkening with rage. Without another word, he ripped my clothes off in a single motion, and then gently lifted me into his arms. He placed me in the bathtub, his hands caressing my skin as he washed every inch of my body.
"I won’t let a single trace of him remain on you. You are mine, Emma. Only I have the right to touch you," he said possessively, and I shivered at his words.
After drying me off with a towel, he carried me back into the room, his touch tender but firm. I never knew love like this before. With Elijah, I felt like I was the most important person in his world, and today, he proved that.
"Lily, the work is done. You can leave now," Elijah said, his voice calm but commanding. Lily looked at us, awkwardness creeping into her expression.
"You may go, Lily. But always remember where your loyalty lies," Elijah added, and she nodded before quietly exiting the room.
He dried my body thoroughly with the towel, then helped me into a fresh pair of lingerie. As he looked at me, I couldn’t help but wonder—did he find me desirable, exposed and vulnerable in his care? His gaze was intense, but there was something else in it. A love, maybe, or a possessiveness that made my heart race.
My naked self shivered under his touch.
“Do you want to have sex?” I asked him, and he looked at me, confused.
“How did you get the idea that I wanted this from you?” he asked me. “Aren’t you excited looking at my body? I mean, this is what you wanted from the start and I know now the things seem different, but my body is always the thing you craved, right?”
I said to him, and he gave me an expressionless face, which is more dangerous because whenever he has no expression on his face, then that means I am in trouble. “Oh you are right, let's do it. What do you want me to do to put my dick in you or to let you suck my dick” he said to me with his dark expression, I gulped.
“I didn’t mean to say that,” I said to him nervously, and he hovered over me. I can’t even stop him with my bandaged hands and neither do I want to. Every time he comes closer to me, I can’t resist him.
“This is what you want,” he asked me and looked at my lips. “Isn’t that what you want?” I asked him and, to be honest, I am only teasing him to see what effect I have on him.
“I never wanted your body, it's you who I always wanted to cover up. I made a lie that I need your body only to hide my real feeling” he said and kissed my lips softly “I know this, but I thought you must be excited looking at me naked or in lingerie,” I asked him and his eyes softened.
“There is not a single moment in my life where I don’t want you, but I will never take advantage when you are in a miserable condition,” he said to me, and I felt overwhelmed.
"I always thought that men only cared about their own needs, but Elijah constantly surprised me. As the great alpha, he always put me first, before his own desires.
'Give me at least one reason to hate you, so I can suppress the love I feel for you,' I said, my voice soft but laced with a sense of longing. He rose off me and handed me my white shirt, motioning for me to cover myself.
'I don’t want you to hate me. I want you to love me, to remember me, even when we’re apart. I want you to think of me always,' he said, his voice tender, as he wrapped me in the quilt and climbed in beside me. I rested my hand on his chest as he gently massaged my scalp.
'Do you treat Violet like this too?' I asked, unable to suppress my curiosity, wondering about the depth of his relationship with her.
'Are you jealous?' He teased, lifting my chin with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
'I’m not jealous,' I said, a small smile forming on my lips. 'I love you, but I also know that our future is uncertain. No matter how much I love you, I can never carry your pups, and I will never be Luna of this pack.' I said the words with a mixture of truth and sadness, despite the smile on my face.
His expression hardened at my words, and I immediately felt the weight of my reality.
'You know, you have a knack for turning a romantic moment into something absurd,' he said, his mood shifting.
'I think you're fine now. You don’t need me anymore,' he added, getting up as if to leave. I quickly pulled him back, wrapping my arms around him.
'I'm sorry. Please stay with me. I need you,' I whispered, my voice shaky.
He gazed into my eyes, and after a moment, nodded. 'Only if you promise not to say anything hurtful.'
I kissed his cheek, and he settled back down, his warmth enveloping me. I lay on top of him, feeling the steady rhythm of his heart beneath my hand.
'So, tell me about your relationship with Violet,' I asked, curious to know more.
'She's beautiful, everything a man could want. But with her, it's always just been physical. She’s great in that sense, but there's something about her that leaves me cold. I don’t feel anything when I hurt her, or when she cries. Her smile means nothing to me,' Elijah confessed, his tone detached.
'With her, it was just an adventure—any man would be happy to have her. I was too, until I met you.' His words filled me with warmth. I realized how much I meant to him.
'It was the same night I met you and Violet. You were the first one I met, and when I saw her, I knew she was my mate. But it was your face I saw when I was with her. I couldn’t stop thinking about you.'
I felt a wave of affection. His honesty touched me more deeply than anything else.
'Thank you for always thinking of me,' I said softly. 'It’s unfair, isn’t it? We love each other, but we can’t be together the way we want.'
'Then we met again, and I knew you were mine. And then my dad started with the curse. It feels like everything is conspiring to bring us together,' he said, his words carrying a weight of inevitability.
'Your sister is everything, but she's not what my heart wants,' he continued, and I felt a sense of relief. I wasn’t Elijah’s mate, but I had his love. And in his eyes, love always took precedence over anything else.
'Violet is beautiful, but I’ve always felt overshadowed by her,' I confessed.
He chuckled. 'I don’t think so. The first time I saw you, my heart skipped a beat. The only thing holding me back was that you weren’t my mate.'
'You’re the first man who understands me, who makes me feel cherished,' I said, planting a kiss on his chest.
'And you’re the only woman who makes me feel human. Before you, I was known as the devil. Now, with you, I feel alive,' he said, and I couldn’t help but feel proud that I had such an effect on him.
'It’s the moon goddess’s fault that we aren’t meant to be together,' I sighed.
'You’re right. But this is our destiny. We can’t change it,' Elijah replied.
We fell asleep in each other’s arms, not in a passionate way, but in a way that felt like pure comfort. We spent the whole night talking, and I realized just how kind and gentle Elijah really was. This side of him was something only I got to see.
At least in one thing, I was greater than Violet. She could never take this from me—my love for Elijah was real and pure.
I don’t believe in the moon goddess, but I believe in love. I’m grateful Violet wasn’t around, because I couldn’t bear to share Elijah with her. It’s not that I didn’t trust him, but the thought of seeing him with her made my heart ache.
But like everything beautiful, our time together must come to an end. And I had no idea what fate had written for Elijah and me.
EMMAThe remaining four nights were filled with turmoil. Every day, a different man would enter my room with the intent to having sex with me, but Elijah made sure to scare them off each time. Carlos remained oblivious to the truth, believing that the curse was breaking with each passing day, though that couldn’t have been further from reality. Elijah and I spent those four nights together, growing closer each time. I couldn’t imagine ever leaving him now; he had become the very reason I existed.I lay on the bed with Elijah, his hands massaging my scalp, and we were completely immersed in each other’s touch. But just as I started to relax, his phone rang, shattering the moment. “It’s Violet,” he said, glancing at the screen before answering the call.“Hey love, how are you?” Elijah said with a smile. I shifted away from him, the connection between us momentarily lost. He looked at me, but I refused to meet his gaze, trying to get up from the bed. Before I could move, he pulled me bac
EMMA"Leave Emma and speak to your sister with respect next time—she is the Luna of this pack," he said, his voice firm as he turned his face away.I swallowed the lump in my throat, my vision blurred with unshed tears. "I'm standing right in front of you, and yet you're still talking about her? How is that fair?"His jaw clenched as he exhaled sharply. "What the hell do you want me to do? You said you're leaving, and I'm fine with it. End of discussion." His voice was thick with anger, though his expression betrayed the emotions he was trying so hard to suppress.I took a shaky breath, cupping his cheek. "I just wanted to cherish our last moments together, but you chose to hurt me by being with Violet instead," I whispered, my voice breaking. We were close—so close that our lips hovered mere inches apart, aching to close the distance. Just as I thought he would finally surrender to the pull between us, he turned his face away, leaving me feeling empty and shattered."I can't," he mut
EMMA"I don’t believe in this nonsense. She slept with five men, and the curse should be lifted—we don’t need a witch, Dad," Elijah said, his voice firm as he tried to convince Carlos that this was all absurd."You don’t understand, Elijah. I have carried the burden of this curse—I know how difficult it is to break," Carlos responded, his tone heavy with authority. My stomach turned to ice at his words. What would happen when he discovered the truth?"I never believed in this curse when you first told me about it," Elijah argued, his frustration growing. "But I still went along with your insanity just to satisfy your ego. Mom gave birth to me, didn’t she? So where was the curse then?"Carlos let out a humorless chuckle. "To bring you into this world, your mother endured unimaginable torture. For an entire year, she was forced to sleep with different men. And even then, it was only with Hayley’s help that we were able to break the curse." He stepped closer, his voice darkening. "But yo
EMMAI’ve been locked in this cage for nearly three months now, and my condition has deteriorated to the point where I can barely recognize myself. My clothes are torn, and I haven’t had a bath in days, maybe weeks. Every night, a different stranger comes to tear away what little dignity I have left. I scream, I beg, but nothing changes. They seem to take pleasure in my suffering. But what choice do I have? I endure it all for Elijah. Carlos has kept his promise to make my life hell, and here I am—rotting away in this nightmare. But there’s a small flicker of something inside me. A quiet hope that, maybe, Elijah is better off without me. I am nothing but a curse in his life, and I refuse to drag him down with me.I stare at the cold stone walls surrounding me, lost in memories of Elijah and the love we once shared. As I drift in that memory, the sound of footsteps pulls me from my thoughts. I close my eyes, bracing myself for another night of suffering.Another man. Another violation.
EMMA“I feel dirty all over. They all touched me. I’m only meant for you, not for anyone else,” I said, holding onto him tightly. His arms wrapped around me, pulling me closer.“I’ll protect you. This will never happen again,” he whispered, soothing my back.“How can you still love me? Can’t you see that I’m ruined beyond redemption? When you touch me, don’t you feel disgusted? You can’t find the same Emma you once loved,” I said, my voice filled with frustration. I was angry at myself, angry at my fate for putting me through so much pain. This was never what I wanted in life, but here I was, struggling to face it.He pulled away from the hug, gazing directly into my tear-filled eyes. “I love you. And every time I touch you, I feel alive. I feel like I have a reason to live again. Maybe your body is no longer pure, but it’s never been your body I’ve craved. It’s your soul. You’re still my love, my Emma, and nothing will ever change that. No power in this world can make me stop loving
EMMA“Shut the fuck up, Violet. I don’t want to hear any nonsense while we’re eating. Don’t ask questions that have no relevance,” Elijah’s deadly voice cut through the tension, and Violet immediately fell silent. I felt a sense of relief. Her presence had been stirring up all the horrible memories of what I had been through.I glanced at Elijah’s hand, noticing the bruise was slowly fading, thanks to his wolf powers. I really needed to learn how to do that. The rest of the breakfast was consumed in silence, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of Mason’s eyes on me. He was watching my every move.I was afraid of him, but I knew he wouldn’t dare do anything to me, not with Elijah here. He’d be chopped to pieces if he even thought about it.“I need you in my office, Violet,” Elijah said as he stood from the table. Violet and Mason left, and I headed to my room. My stomach was full, and I needed to rest. I wanted to heal properly so that I could be with Elijah soon.Just as I was about to c

He made a confused face at me.“When you left, I only slept with her once. It was just to get her pregnant. But since you’ve come back, I haven’t had the desire to touch her. There’s a big difference between sex and making love,” he said, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The pang of jealousy inside me melted away."I have no interest in her. I want only you. And this is the last time I’m answering to your insecurities. After this, I won’t entertain any more of your questions. Don’t ever doubt me again," he said, pinching m
EMMAI glance at Elijah, but he avoids making eye contact with me.“But Alpha, she’s not staying here permanently. Eventually, she has to go back to her home with our dad,” Violet said. She had a point, but I wasn’t thinking about leaving for my dad’s place. My place is with Elijah, and I wasn’t willing to leave him. Dad could manage without me, but I couldn’t manage without Elijah."Sweetheart, Violet, do you forget that I’m the Alpha of this pack? The final decision is mine, and no one can argue with that," Elijah said, flashing a tight smile, almost mocking her. Violet fell silent because she knew exactly what it meant to go against Elijah.Elijah is a force to be reckoned with when he's not with me. He’s never shown his love for anyone else, and I can’t exactly argue with him in front of all the pack members."Alpha, are you going to send her to the brothel in our pack house to fulfill the needs of our pack members?" one of them suggested, and the room fell into complete silence.
EMMAAs time passed, everything seemed to fall into place. Elijah and I grew closer, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was keeping a close watch on us—though I had no idea who. Elijah and I were out on the outskirts of the pack, lying naked on the ground. My head rested on his lap as he ran his hand through my brown locks. He looked down at me, his voice soft. "Why do you look so upset, babe?"Elijah pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead, and I sighed, my voice barely a whisper. "I love you, Elijah, but I'm afraid. What if Violet finds out about us someday?"Elijah chuckled lightly, brushing the thought aside. "Don't worry about her. She’ll never know. And honestly, you don’t need to worry about anyone else. Just focus on me." With that, he kissed me softly on the lips, his hand slowly trailing over my body.I knew this was wrong, but I couldn’t stop. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t. Elijah pulled back from the kiss, a playful smile on his lips. "Let’s get ready for round

Tonight, he almost hurt me, consumed by jealousy.I couldn’t stop the tears from falling. I ran to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. Slipping down to the floor, I whispered, "Why, Moon Goddess, are you doing this to me? The man I love doesn’t trust me, but here I am—still so stupidly in love with him."After few minutes, I walked out of the bathroom, not sparing him a glance. Everything was clean and pristine—Lily had done a good job, removing the blood stains and shattered glass. I slipped out of my bathrobe and into a long shirt, feeling exposed but somehow free.My gaze landed on Elijah, standing across the room, watching me. The pain in my feet was still there, a constant reminder of what had happened. I chose to ignore him, lying down on the bed and pulling the duvet over my body. I was

"What?"Mason reached across the table, placing his hand over mine, his gaze turning soft. "I've been alone for a long time, and I think... I need a partner. Someone who understands me, who loves me through thick and thin."A lump formed in my throat as an awkward tension settled between us. His fingers lightly massaged my palm, his hopeful eyes searching mine. But I couldn’t do this—I couldn’t play with his feelings.I quickly jerked my hand away and pushed back my chair. This is what drives me to do all the wrong things, just to experience more of his love.I carefully get out of bed, not wanting to disturb him, and prepare for my clinical duties. I don’t think Joanna will be coming in today, considering her husband passed away yesterday. I slip into a simple black shirt and white trousers. Elijah is still sleeping, and I don't blame him. EMMAAfter strolling around the garden with Mason, I entered the pack house and froze. Derrick’s lifeless body lay on the floor, and Joanna was crying over him. Elijah and Violet were standing by, comforting the pack members."Today, we’ve lost one of our soldiers, but we must fight our emotions," Elijah announced in his authoritative tone. Violet stood by him, embodying her role as Luna."What the hell happened to him? We weren’t at war, and no one should be able to enter the pack house," Mason whispered to himself, but I caught his words."What do you mean?" I asked him, my curiosity piqued."Look at his chest," he said, nodding toward Derrick’s body. "His heart’s been removed, and this is the signature of Alpha Elijah when he kills an enemy. But why would he do this to his own pack member?" Mason’s words struck me. I realized Elijah had killed his father the same way, but why would he kill his own?"How can you be so sure?" I asked, trying to process the information."Alpha trained
