EMMA
The remaining four nights were filled with turmoil. Every day, a different man would enter my room with the intent to having sex with me, but Elijah made sure to scare them off each time. Carlos remained oblivious to the truth, believing that the curse was breaking with each passing day, though that couldn’t have been further from reality. Elijah and I spent those four nights together, growing closer each time. I couldn’t imagine ever leaving him now; he had become the very reason I existed.
I lay on the bed with Elijah, his hands massaging my scalp, and we were completely immersed in each other’s touch. But just as I started to relax, his phone rang, shattering the moment. “It’s Violet,” he said, glancing at the screen before answering the call.
“Hey love, how are you?” Elijah said with a smile. I shifted away from him, the connection between us momentarily lost. He looked at me, but I refused to meet his gaze, trying to get up from the bed. Before I could move, he pulled me back, and I ended up falling on top of him.
“I’ll come pick you up from the airport,” he said to Violet before hanging up.
“So, your mate is coming back?” I asked, my tone laced with a hint of bitterness.
“Aren’t you a little jealous?” he teased, placing a soft kiss on my lips.
“Elijah, I want you, and it hurts every part of me to see you with Violet. I know I have no right to feel this way, but I can’t stop myself,” I confessed. In an instant, he moved, and suddenly I was lying beneath him. “I love you, and that’s all that matters,” he said, his eyes filled with promise. “I swear, I won’t touch her.”
But how could I trust him? Violet is his mate. In the end, it will be them together.
“My work here is almost done,” I said, trying to keep my voice steady. “I think it’s time for me to return to my old life.”
His eyes darkened at my words, and without warning, he kissed me hard, his lips urgent and heated. His hands roughly pulled at my body, hurting me as they reached my chest. I cried out in pain. I pushed him away with all my strength, but it didn’t work. He kissed me even more violently, and his hands continued their assault. When he finally pulled away, my lips were sore, and blood stained my finger as I brushed them.
“Elijah, what’s happening to you?” I whispered, fear creeping into my voice.
He snapped out of his dark mood, but his expression was cold. “You’re not leaving me,” he said, his tone low and menacing. “You’re mine, and you’ll always be mine.”
“I can’t be yours, and you know this,” I replied softly, cupping his cheek. “Being together is a mistake, but we both feel this pull, and we can’t help it.”
“I have to go, and I know it’s the right thing, but I love you. I can never love anyone else the way I love you,” I added, tears welling in my eyes.
His gaze remained emotionless, and I was frightened by the emptiness I saw there. He had once been filled with warmth, but now, before me, was a stranger.
“I’m going to claim my mate,” he said, his voice filled with finality. He stood up and left the bed, his demeanor shifting into something cold and distant. I watched as he left the room, slamming the door behind him.
I forced myself to get up and head to the shower, letting the water wash over me as if it could cleanse the emotions swirling inside me. When I finished, I dressed in a pink satin dress that fell gracefully to my knees, hoping it would hide the turmoil inside me.
Downstairs, I sat at the table for breakfast. Lily set down a plate of salad, chicken pieces, and a glass of orange juice in front of me. But even as I picked up my fork, my mind was elsewhere, struggling to grasp the reality of everything that had happened.
I was eating alone when Carlos decided to ruin my mood. "It's so nice to see you, Emma. The past five nights must have been quite the experience, with a different man each night," he said, his words laced with malice. Anger surged through me, and I gripped my fork tightly. Lily looked at me, her face showing shock, but she didn't dare ask anything in front of Carlos. He sat down beside me, but I chose to ignore him, not wanting to let this man disrupt my peace.
Lily served him food, and he continued, "So, tomorrow will be your last day in this pack house—and in my son's life." I choked on my juice, wide-eyed with shock. How did he know about Elijah and me?
"Don't try to play innocent. I know you're sleeping with my son behind my back. You think you're something more, but you're just a whore to him, nothing else," Carlos sneered. I was relieved there was no one else around to hear his disgusting words.
"You can rot in hell. I don’t care what you think, and I’m no one's whore," I shot back, glaring at him. He hated me, but I didn't care—I was the only one in this house who dared to stand up to him.
Just then, Carlos' voice softened, "And here comes my beautiful Violet." I turned my head to see Violet in a short red dress, her hand linked with Elijah's. They looked like the perfect couple, and all I could do was sulk, watching them together.
"Don’t they look good together?" Carlos whispered with a smug smile. "My son knows how to treat his mate, unlike you." His words stung, but I refused to let him see how much they hurt.
I got up and walked over to Violet, forcing a smile. "It's so good to see you, Violet," I said, embracing her. Then, I glanced at Elijah, but he didn’t even look in my direction. Why was he acting so differently since I told him I was leaving to return to my old life?
Violet sneered at me. "Why are you still here? I thought you'd have left by now," she said arrogantly, her true colors showing.
"She’s leaving tomorrow," Carlos chimed in with a smug grin.
"Good," Violet replied coldly. "Dad must be alone at home. You should be with him." The way she said it, I couldn’t shake the feeling that she knew more than she should. What was going on?
“I’m going to my room,” I said, excusing myself because I truly felt out of place in their family. I looked at Violet one last time before leaving. She looked more beautiful than ever, her face glowing with a different radiance, almost like a pregnant woman’s. But that can’t be possible—Elijah has been with me the entire time, so Violet being pregnant doesn’t make sense. Maybe I’m overthinking things.
I went to my room and texted my dad, telling him I was coming home. Today was my last day here, and I wanted to spend it with Elijah, in his arms, but that sick bastard was avoiding me. I packed my things, all the gifts Elijah had given me, including the ring he gave me the night we first made love. It’s precious to me, and I’ll always keep it close. It took me hours to finish packing, and then I decided to go to Elijah’s office because I wanted to spend my last hours with him as a lover, not as a stranger.
It was 4 PM, and I figured he must be free by then. I went straight to his office and opened the door without knocking, only to be hit with a scene that crushed me to my core. Elijah was sitting in the chair, and Violet was straddling him.
They are having sex and Violet's dress is completely ridden off to her waist and I can see her naked ass and Elijah is grunting and pushing his dick into his eyes. They both groaned and moaned with each other.
The entire room was filled with the sound of their bodies meeting, their moans piercing through the air like acid to my ears. I wanted to run, to escape, but my legs felt paralyzed. Then, I heard their low grunts, and Elijah, who had been with his eyes closed, now opened them, locking eyes with me. His face was devoid of emotion, but I felt a deep sense of betrayal wash over me. I knew it was natural for mates to be together, but my heart ached. It felt like everything was burning around me.
At that moment, my phone rang, a cruel interruption. Violet, still lying on Elijah, pulled her dress down and glanced at me. “Hey Emma, what are you doing here? I didn’t hear a knock. What’s going on?” she asked, her voice dripping with indifference
“I am sorry for not knocking because it was not in my mind that you were having sex, but I forgot you are my sister, and you can have sex anywhere,” I said to her in a rude manner, and even I am shocked that my tone was laced with jealously.
Violet looked at me with a shocked expression. I had never disrespected her before, but I couldn’t control the pain I felt seeing her in the arms of the man I loved.
“Enough, Emma. Don’t forget who you’re talking to,” Elijah snapped, surprising me. He had always treated me with care and love since he confessed his feelings, but now his tone was harsh.
“I’m talking to my sister,” I retorted, glaring at him.
Violet quickly stood up from his lap, and I was grateful for that. Elijah adjusted his pants, avoiding my gaze.
“Please, Elijah, forgive her. She’s my little sister, and she doesn’t understand who she’s talking to,” Violet said, pleading for me. Elijah stepped forward, closing the distance between us until he was only inches away.
“She’s my mate,” he said, his voice cold. “Next time you speak to her, show some respect.”
The pain in my chest deepened as I saw him like this—emotionless. I couldn’t bring myself to respond, too lost in his eyes. He grabbed my chin roughly, his eyes daring me to defy him.
“Do you understand?” he demanded, increasing the pressure on my chin.
“Alpha, please don’t,” Violet begged. “She’s my sister, and she doesn’t understand this pack or the whole wolf thing. Emma, apologize and leave.”
I glared at her. I hated her. Even though she was siding with me now, she still had the man I was in love with.
“Violet, leave. Your sister needs to learn a lesson,” Elijah said, his grip tightening on my chin. I was seconds away from breaking down.
“Alpha, please,” Violet pleaded, her voice trembling as she turned to Elijah. “She’s my little sister!”
“GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!” Elijah screamed, and Violet jumped in fear before quickly exiting the room.
I turned back to Elijah, desperately searching for the man who once loved me
“If my sister’s good enough for you, then why didn’t you wait until tomorrow for me to leave?” I said to him, tears welling up in my eyes, while his face remained expressionless.
“She’s my mate, and fulfilling her desires is my duty,” he replied coldly. “But why do you care? The last time I checked, you’re leaving, and after that, we’ll never see each other again.”
He released my chin, his eyes briefly showing a flicker of emotion.
“So, this is all just to hurt me?” I asked, my voice trembling with tears. We locked eyes, and in that moment, our gazes spoke volumes—of betrayal, lies, and pain.
EMMA"Leave Emma and speak to your sister with respect next time—she is the Luna of this pack," he said, his voice firm as he turned his face away.I swallowed the lump in my throat, my vision blurred with unshed tears. "I'm standing right in front of you, and yet you're still talking about her? How is that fair?"His jaw clenched as he exhaled sharply. "What the hell do you want me to do? You said you're leaving, and I'm fine with it. End of discussion." His voice was thick with anger, though his expression betrayed the emotions he was trying so hard to suppress.I took a shaky breath, cupping his cheek. "I just wanted to cherish our last moments together, but you chose to hurt me by being with Violet instead," I whispered, my voice breaking. We were close—so close that our lips hovered mere inches apart, aching to close the distance. Just as I thought he would finally surrender to the pull between us, he turned his face away, leaving me feeling empty and shattered."I can't," he mut
EMMA"I don’t believe in this nonsense. She slept with five men, and the curse should be lifted—we don’t need a witch, Dad," Elijah said, his voice firm as he tried to convince Carlos that this was all absurd."You don’t understand, Elijah. I have carried the burden of this curse—I know how difficult it is to break," Carlos responded, his tone heavy with authority. My stomach turned to ice at his words. What would happen when he discovered the truth?"I never believed in this curse when you first told me about it," Elijah argued, his frustration growing. "But I still went along with your insanity just to satisfy your ego. Mom gave birth to me, didn’t she? So where was the curse then?"Carlos let out a humorless chuckle. "To bring you into this world, your mother endured unimaginable torture. For an entire year, she was forced to sleep with different men. And even then, it was only with Hayley’s help that we were able to break the curse." He stepped closer, his voice darkening. "But yo

My clothes are torn, and I haven’t had a bath in days, maybe weeks. Every night, a different stranger comes to tear away what little dignity I have left. I scream, I beg, but nothing changes. They seem to take pleasure in my suffering. But what choice do I have? I endure it all for Elijah. Carlos has kept his promise to make my life hell, and here I am—rotting away in this nightmare. But there’s a small flicker of something inside me. A quiet hope that, maybe, Elijah is better off without me. I am nothing but a curse in his life, and I refuse to drag him down with me.I stare at the cold stone walls surrounding me, lost in memories of Elijah and the love we once shared. As I drift in that memory, the sound of footsteps pulls me from my thoughts. I close my eyes, bracing myself for another night of suffering.Another man. Another violation.
EMMA“I feel dirty all over. They all touched me. I’m only meant for you, not for anyone else,” I said, holding onto him tightly. His arms wrapped around me, pulling me closer.“I’ll protect you. This will never happen again,” he whispered, soothing my back.“How can you still love me? Can’t you see that I’m ruined beyond redemption? When you touch me, don’t you feel disgusted? You can’t find the same Emma you once loved,” I said, my voice filled with frustration. I was angry at myself, angry at my fate for putting me through so much pain. This was never what I wanted in life, but here I was, struggling to face it.He pulled away from the hug, gazing directly into my tear-filled eyes. “I love you. And every time I touch you, I feel alive. I feel like I have a reason to live again. Maybe your body is no longer pure, but it’s never been your body I’ve craved. It’s your soul. You’re still my love, my Emma, and nothing will ever change that. No power in this world can make me stop loving
EMMA“Shut the fuck up, Violet. I don’t want to hear any nonsense while we’re eating. Don’t ask questions that have no relevance,” Elijah’s deadly voice cut through the tension, and Violet immediately fell silent. I felt a sense of relief. Her presence had been stirring up all the horrible memories of what I had been through.I glanced at Elijah’s hand, noticing the bruise was slowly fading, thanks to his wolf powers. I really needed to learn how to do that. The rest of the breakfast was consumed in silence, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of Mason’s eyes on me. He was watching my every move.I was afraid of him, but I knew he wouldn’t dare do anything to me, not with Elijah here. He’d be chopped to pieces if he even thought about it.“I need you in my office, Violet,” Elijah said as he stood from the table. Violet and Mason left, and I headed to my room. There’s a big difference between sex and making love,” he said, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The pang of jealousy inside me melted away."I have no interest in her. I want only you. Dad could manage without me, but I couldn’t manage without Elijah."Sweetheart, Violet, do you forget that I’m the Alpha of this pack? EMMAAfter strolling around the garden with Mason, I entered the pack house and froze. Derrick’s lifeless body lay on the floor, and Joanna was crying over him. Elijah and Violet were standing by, comforting the pack members."Today, we’ve lost one of our soldiers, but we must fight our emotions," Elijah announced in his authoritative tone. Violet stood by him, embodying her role as Luna."What the hell happened to him? We weren’t at war, and no one should be able to enter the pack house," Mason whispered to himself, but I caught his words."What do you mean?" I asked him, my curiosity piqued."Look at his chest," he said, nodding toward Derrick’s body. "His heart’s been removed, and this is the signature of Alpha Elijah when he kills an enemy. But why would he do this to his own pack member?" Mason’s words struck me. I realized Elijah had killed his father the same way, but why would he kill his own?"How can you be so sure?" I asked, trying to process the information."Alpha trained
EMMAAs time passed, everything seemed to fall into place. Elijah and I grew closer, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was keeping a close watch on us—though I had no idea who. Elijah and I were out on the outskirts of the pack, lying naked on the ground. My head rested on his lap as he ran his hand through my brown locks. He looked down at me, his voice soft. "Why do you look so upset, babe?"Elijah pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead, and I sighed, my voice barely a whisper. "I love you, Elijah, but I'm afraid. What if Violet finds out about us someday?"Elijah chuckled lightly, brushing the thought aside. "Don't worry about her. She’ll never know. And honestly, you don’t need to worry about anyone else. Just focus on me." With that, he kissed me softly on the lips, his hand slowly trailing over my body.I knew this was wrong, but I couldn’t stop. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t. Elijah pulled back from the kiss, a playful smile on his lips. "Let’s get ready for round
