Emma
"But I want to know about my mom," I said to him, and he rubbed his forehead. "If I tell you something, you have to trust me," he said, creating some space between us.
"I need to know, Elijah, please," I begged, gently placing my hand on his cheek.
"Emma, if you love me, then don't ask me any more questions. That's all I can say," he said, making me fall silent.
"But everything between us started because I hoped to learn about my mom. It was a trade," I replied, and he gave me a hard look.
"Are we still together because you want to know about your mom through me?" he asked.
"No, we're together because I’m in love with you," I confessed, and he smiled.
He slipped into a fresh outfit, a black shirt paired with checked trousers. He looked absolutely irresistible. The temperature in the room seemed to rise because of his sheer magnetism.
"Where are you going?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
"I have an urgent pack meeting, and I need to see Violet. She must be worried about me," he replied while buttoning his shirt.
A pang of jealousy hit my heart when he mentioned Violet, and with it came a deep sense of guilt.
"I care about Violet, but you're the one who rules my heart," he said, his words easing my jealousy. "I didn’t realize when you became so important to me. At first, I thought I only wanted your body, but over time, I realized it’s you I want. But I can’t ignore the fact that Violet is my mate, and I have responsibilities toward her."
I knew he was saying all of this just to make me feel better, but it still made me feel conflicted.
"I understand," I said quietly, and he left the room, kissing my forehead as he did.
I took a bath, and as I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw the evidence of last night. It had been rough, but in the best possible way. I felt complete—finally, a woman in every sense.
Afterward, I came out of my room wrapped in a bathrobe. I saw Lily standing near my bed, staring at the red stain on the sheets.
"Change the sheets," I told her.
"Did you lose your virginity?" she asked, her tone sharp. I looked at her, feeling my annoyance rise.
"That's none of your business," I replied firmly, walking toward the blow dryer.
"I saw the Alpha enter your room last night," she added, a disgusted look crossing her face.
"Why does it matter to you who entered my room?" I asked, annoyed by the accusatory look in her eyes.
"You can't just do that. I have an obligation to my Luna first, and you’re destroying her happiness as her sister," she shot back, and I huffed in frustration.
"What Alpha Elijah and I share is pure. Don’t tarnish it with your dirty words," I said, my voice shaking with emotion. I knew I was wrong in many ways, and in the eyes of everyone, I might seem like the villain, but my love for Elijah was real and dignified.
"You’re ruining your sister’s happiness. You’re a whore," she spat at me. "I thought you were different, but you’ve proven otherwise."
Tears welled up in my eyes at her harsh words. She had never spoken to me like this before. The expression on her face made me feel like I was being shown a painful truth I couldn’t ignore.
"I’m going to tell Luna so she can throw you out of the pack," she said, starting to leave the room, but I stopped her.
"Please, listen to me," I pleaded, holding onto her hand. "I love Elijah, and for once, I have love in my life. People have always treated me like a second choice, but the Alpha treats me like a princess. Please, don’t ruin this for me."
Her eyes softened for a moment, but she pulled his hand away. "But this is all wrong," she said, her voice filled with doubt.
"I know," I admitted quietly. "But it won’t last forever. I’ll leave this pack house once my purpose is fulfilled. Then Alpha Elijah and Violet can be together without any obstacles."
she stood there, looking confused and conflicted.
"What purpose?" she asked.
"I can’t tell you that, but I promise I’ll leave here when the time comes," I said.
"If you tell Violet about Elijah and me, it will ruin everything. If she doesn’t know, she’ll be happy. Eventually, I’m going to leave this pack house anyway," I added, hoping I was getting through to her.
"Do you really think Alpha Elijah loves you?" she asked, her voice laced with doubt.
"Yes, he does. And I love him, too. Strange things happen between us when we’re together, things we can’t deny. There’s something between us that makes everything fall into place, even when it seems impossible," I said with intensity, but I knew she probably wouldn’t understand. No one could. It was hard to explain why I was pursuing a mated Alpha, but I knew one thing: for me, Elijah was everything. I was even ready to end my life for him without hesitation. After last night, my feelings for him had only deepened.
"Alpha is using you. He’s incapable of love," she said with certainty. "I’ve known him for a long time, and I can tell you he’s only good at breaking hearts. He’s the devil. Loving him will be the biggest mistake of your life."
I had already moved past his warnings. "If he breaks my heart, I can handle it. But being apart from him would be like losing my breath. You haven’t seen the intensity in his eyes the way I have," I said, siding with Elijah.
"He is the man of my dreams, and every word he says to me holds promise," I told her, but she shook his head in disbelief.
"You will be doomed in the end. Mark my words, you will be the destruction of everyone," she warned, but I ignored her.
"I'm not telling anyone because I don’t want to destroy Luna Violet’s happiness," she added, as she started changing my bedsheets. She cleaned my room and left, leaving me with her harsh words echoing in my mind. I felt hurt by her question about Elijah and me, but I didn’t owe anyone an explanation.
I changed into my red striped dress and spent the rest of the day in my room, but I was dreading the night. I had no idea how Elijah was going to protect me from Carlos, his father. As I read a book, there was a knock at the door. I opened it to find Mason, the beta of the pack.
"Hey, Mason," I greeted him, but his expression was unreadable.
"Can I come in?" he asked, and I stepped aside to let him enter.
"Carlos told me about the curse, and that you are the cure," he said, and I listened closely.
"He told me that I’m the first of five men who will spend the night with you," he continued, and my throat went dry. I didn’t say anything, as my hopes rested on Elijah.
"Do you agree?" I asked him, my voice barely above a whisper. He took a long, deep breath before replying.
"I don’t have a choice. It’s about the heir to the pack," he said. "But I want you to know that I really like you, and after the five nights, I will mate with you."
I was shocked. "Are you insane? I’m not going to sleep with you or anyone else. I’m not your mate, and mating like that is pure nonsense," I told him firmly.
He placed his hands on either side of my shoulders, leaning in closer. "I don’t care if you’re not my mate. I want you, and I desire you. I don’t need a mate when I have you. You should be grateful. After your destruction, I’ll be there for you because no wolf will accept a woman who’s lost her dignity," he sneered.
I looked at him in disbelief, not recognizing the man who had once been so kind. What had happened to him?
"I like you, Emma, and no one can take you away from me," he said, pulling me into a tight embrace. His body weight crushed me, and I struggled to break free. He began sucking on my neck, but I pushed him away.
"Don’t you dare touch me," I warned, my voice shaking with anger. He smirked.
"So, there’s already another man who’s tasted you?" he taunted, locking eyes with me. "Your body smells of another male wolf. What a whore you are. I thought you were pure, but I was wrong. Who did you fuck in this pack house? You could easily seduce anyone with your sinful body."
His words cut deep, and I fought back the tears. "That’s none of your business. Get out, or I’ll tell the Alpha what you’ve done to me," I said, my voice firm despite my growing fear.
He smirked again, sitting on my bed with his legs crossed. "I’m the beta of the pack, and besides, Alpha Elijah mentored me. You could say I’m his favorite, and he’ll never question me over some whore."
Tears welled up in my eyes. How could he say such things to me? Why did everyone here want to destroy me and play with my emotions? Was it my fault my mother cursed them all? They treated Violet like a queen while I was treated like a slave.
EMMA"Get out of my room, now!" I shouted at him. If he thought I was weak, he was sorely mistaken. I knew how to fight back."What if I don't?" he challenged, and it was clear now—you can't judge a book by its cover. I had once thought he was genuine, but seeing him like this made me feel disgusted."Alpha might not say anything to you because you’re his mentee, but my sister is the Luna of the pack. I wonder what she'll do when she finds out you assaulted me," I warned, my voice steady. He stood up from my bed and moved closer, but I took a step back."Tonight, I’ll come to your room, and we’ll see who can stop me from having you," he said, reaching out to touch my face. I jerked my head away, the disgust on my face clear. His expression showed annoyance at my resistance, but thankfully, he left the room. I let out a deep breath, trying to calm myself.I called Elijah, but he didn’t pick up. He didn’t respond to my messages either. What game are you playing, Elijah? I thought, fear
EMMA"I thought she hated me, but now I realize I’m in her debt," I said to him, my voice soft."Lily is a sweet girl. I've known her for years. Even though she knows we’re doing something wrong, her loyalty lies with me," he replied, and I gave him a small, grateful smile."Where were you when I was being assaulted?" I asked, frustration rising in my voice, my eyes brimming with tears."I was trapped in my father’s lies. He told me he would begin the ritual to break the curse tomorrow, but I didn’t know he was betraying me by sending Mason to your room," he confessed, wiping my tears away with a gentle touch. "I was working in my room to stop the ritual when Lily came to me and told me what had happened. I ran to you, and I swear I’ll never let anything harm you again."I looked up at him, my heart heavy with emotion. "He touched me, Elijah, and I felt filthy... like I wasn’t worth anything."His muscles tensed at my words, his expression darkening with rage. Without another word, he
EMMAThe remaining four nights were filled with turmoil. Every day, a different man would enter my room with the intent to having sex with me, but Elijah made sure to scare them off each time. Carlos remained oblivious to the truth, believing that the curse was breaking with each passing day, though that couldn’t have been further from reality. Elijah and I spent those four nights together, growing closer each time. I couldn’t imagine ever leaving him now; he had become the very reason I existed.I lay on the bed with Elijah, his hands massaging my scalp, and we were completely immersed in each other’s touch. But just as I started to relax, his phone rang, shattering the moment. “It’s Violet,” he said, glancing at the screen before answering the call.“Hey love, how are you?” Elijah said with a smile. I shifted away from him, the connection between us momentarily lost. He looked at me, but I refused to meet his gaze, trying to get up from the bed. Before I could move, he pulled me bac
EMMA"Leave Emma and speak to your sister with respect next time—she is the Luna of this pack," he said, his voice firm as he turned his face away.I swallowed the lump in my throat, my vision blurred with unshed tears. "I'm standing right in front of you, and yet you're still talking about her? How is that fair?"His jaw clenched as he exhaled sharply. "What the hell do you want me to do? You said you're leaving, and I'm fine with it. End of discussion." His voice was thick with anger, though his expression betrayed the emotions he was trying so hard to suppress.I took a shaky breath, cupping his cheek. "I just wanted to cherish our last moments together, but you chose to hurt me by being with Violet instead," I whispered, my voice breaking. We were close—so close that our lips hovered mere inches apart, aching to close the distance. Just as I thought he would finally surrender to the pull between us, he turned his face away, leaving me feeling empty and shattered."I can't," he mut
EMMA"I don’t believe in this nonsense. She slept with five men, and the curse should be lifted—we don’t need a witch, Dad," Elijah said, his voice firm as he tried to convince Carlos that this was all absurd."You don’t understand, Elijah. I have carried the burden of this curse—I know how difficult it is to break," Carlos responded, his tone heavy with authority. My stomach turned to ice at his words. What would happen when he discovered the truth?"I never believed in this curse when you first told me about it," Elijah argued, his frustration growing. "But I still went along with your insanity just to satisfy your ego. Mom gave birth to me, didn’t she? So where was the curse then?"Carlos let out a humorless chuckle. "To bring you into this world, your mother endured unimaginable torture. For an entire year, she was forced to sleep with different men. And even then, it was only with Hayley’s help that we were able to break the curse." He stepped closer, his voice darkening. "But yo
EMMAI’ve been locked in this cage for nearly three months now, and my condition has deteriorated to the point where I can barely recognize myself. My clothes are torn, and I haven’t had a bath in days, maybe weeks. Every night, a different stranger comes to tear away what little dignity I have left. I scream, I beg, but nothing changes. They seem to take pleasure in my suffering. But what choice do I have? I endure it all for Elijah. Carlos has kept his promise to make my life hell, and here I am—rotting away in this nightmare. But there’s a small flicker of something inside me. A quiet hope that, maybe, Elijah is better off without me. I am nothing but a curse in his life, and I refuse to drag him down with me.I stare at the cold stone walls surrounding me, lost in memories of Elijah and the love we once shared. As I drift in that memory, the sound of footsteps pulls me from my thoughts. I close my eyes, bracing myself for another night of suffering.Another man. Another violation.
EMMA“I feel dirty all over. They all touched me. I’m only meant for you, not for anyone else,” I said, holding onto him tightly. His arms wrapped around me, pulling me closer.“I’ll protect you. This will never happen again,” he whispered, soothing my back.“How can you still love me? Can’t you see that I’m ruined beyond redemption? When you touch me, don’t you feel disgusted? You can’t find the same Emma you once loved,” I said, my voice filled with frustration. I was angry at myself, angry at my fate for putting me through so much pain. This was never what I wanted in life, but here I was, struggling to face it.He pulled away from the hug, gazing directly into my tear-filled eyes. “I love you. And every time I touch you, I feel alive. I feel like I have a reason to live again. Maybe your body is no longer pure, but it’s never been your body I’ve craved. It’s your soul. You’re still my love, my Emma, and nothing will ever change that. No power in this world can make me stop loving
EMMA“Shut the fuck up, Violet. I don’t want to hear any nonsense while we’re eating. Don’t ask questions that have no relevance,” Elijah’s deadly voice cut through the tension, and Violet immediately fell silent. I felt a sense of relief. Her presence had been stirring up all the horrible memories of what I had been through.I glanced at Elijah’s hand, noticing the bruise was slowly fading, thanks to his wolf powers. I really needed to learn how to do that. The rest of the breakfast was consumed in silence, but I couldn’t shake the feeling of Mason’s eyes on me. He was watching my every move.I was afraid of him, but I knew he wouldn’t dare do anything to me, not with Elijah here. He’d be chopped to pieces if he even thought about it.“I need you in my office, Violet,” Elijah said as he stood from the table. Violet and Mason left, and I headed to my room. My stomach was full, and I needed to rest. I wanted to heal properly so that I could be with Elijah soon.Just as I was about to c
EMMAAs time passed, everything seemed to fall into place. Elijah and I grew closer, but I couldn’t shake the feeling that someone was keeping a close watch on us—though I had no idea who. Elijah and I were out on the outskirts of the pack, lying naked on the ground. My head rested on his lap as he ran his hand through my brown locks. He looked down at me, his voice soft. "Why do you look so upset, babe?"Elijah pressed a gentle kiss to my forehead, and I sighed, my voice barely a whisper. "I love you, Elijah, but I'm afraid. What if Violet finds out about us someday?"Elijah chuckled lightly, brushing the thought aside. "Don't worry about her. She’ll never know. And honestly, you don’t need to worry about anyone else. Just focus on me." With that, he kissed me softly on the lips, his hand slowly trailing over my body.I knew this was wrong, but I couldn’t stop. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t. Elijah pulled back from the kiss, a playful smile on his lips. "Let’s get ready for round

Tonight, he almost hurt me, consumed by jealousy.I couldn’t stop the tears from falling. I ran to the bathroom and locked the door behind me. Slipping down to the floor, I whispered, "Why, Moon Goddess, are you doing this to me? The man I love doesn’t trust me, but here I am—still so stupidly in love with him."After few minutes, I walked out of the bathroom, not sparing him a glance. Everything was clean and pristine—Lily had done a good job, removing the blood stains and shattered glass. I slipped out of my bathrobe and into a long shirt, feeling exposed but somehow free.My gaze landed on Elijah, standing across the room, watching me. The pain in my feet was still there, a constant reminder of what had happened. I chose to ignore him, lying down on the bed and pulling the duvet over my body. I was

"What?"Mason reached across the table, placing his hand over mine, his gaze turning soft. "I've been alone for a long time, and I think... I need a partner. Someone who understands me, who loves me through thick and thin."A lump formed in my throat as an awkward tension settled between us. His fingers lightly massaged my palm, his hopeful eyes searching mine. But I couldn’t do this—I couldn’t play with his feelings.I quickly jerked my hand away and pushed back my chair. "I—I need to go home," I said, my voice uneven.Without waiting for his reaction, I grabbed my bag and rushed out of the café, my heart pounding. This is what drives me to do all the wrong things, just to experience more of his love.I carefully get out of bed, not wanting to disturb him, and prepare for my clinical duties. I don’t think Joanna will be coming in today, considering her husband passed away yesterday. I slip into a simple black shirt and white trousers. Elijah is still sleeping, and I don't blame him. He trains every day to protect this pack from all threats. It's only 6 AM, and I need to hurry. I lean down to kiss Elijah on the forehead. He stirs a little in his sleep, but I don't want to wake him, so I quietly leave. When I arrive at the pack clinic, I’m surprised to see Joanna there."Hey," I say, surprised."Don’t look so surprised. EMMAAfter strolling around the garden with Mason, I entered the pack house and froze. Derrick’s lifeless body lay on the floor, and Joanna was crying over him. Elijah and Violet were standing by, comforting the pack members."Today, we’ve lost one of our soldiers, but we must fight our emotions," Elijah announced in his authoritative tone. Violet stood by him, embodying her role as Luna."What the hell happened to him? We weren’t at war, and no one should be able to enter the pack house," Mason whispered to himself, but I caught his words."What do you mean?" I asked him, my curiosity piqued."Look at his chest," he said, nodding toward Derrick’s body. "His heart’s been removed, and this is the signature of Alpha Elijah when he kills an enemy. But why would he do this to his own pack member?" Mason’s words struck me. I realized Elijah had killed his father the same way, but why would he kill his own?"How can you be so sure?" I asked, trying to process the information."Alpha trained
EMMAI glance at Elijah, but he avoids making eye contact with me.“But Alpha, she’s not staying here permanently. Eventually, she has to go back to her home with our dad,” Violet said. She had a point, but I wasn’t thinking about leaving for my dad’s place. My place is with Elijah, and I wasn’t willing to leave him. Dad could manage without me, but I couldn’t manage without Elijah."Sweetheart, Violet, do you forget that I’m the Alpha of this pack? The final decision is mine, and no one can argue with that," Elijah said, flashing a tight smile, almost mocking her. Violet fell silent because she knew exactly what it meant to go against Elijah.Elijah is a force to be reckoned with when he's not with me. He’s never shown his love for anyone else, and I can’t exactly argue with him in front of all the pack members."Alpha, are you going to send her to the brothel in our pack house to fulfill the needs of our pack members?" one of them suggested, and the room fell into complete silence.
EMMAHe pulled me up onto his chest, and we looked into each other's eyes for a long moment."Do you know how much power you have over me?" Elijah asked, his voice low, and I chuckled softly."Trust me, I know. And that’s exactly why I can convince you to do things you don’t want to do," I replied, placing a gentle kiss on his chest.“Elijah, I’ve been thinking... does Violet give you more satisfaction than I do?” I asked hesitantly, unsure of his response. He made a confused face at me.“When you left, I only slept with her once. It was just to get her pregnant. But since you’ve come back, I haven’t had the desire to touch her. There’s a big difference between sex and making love,” he said, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me. The pang of jealousy inside me melted away."I have no interest in her. I want only you. And this is the last time I’m answering to your insecurities. After this, I won’t entertain any more of your questions. Don’t ever doubt me again," he said, pinching m
