Chapter 56

Jade and Khalil walked out of the restaurant only to meet Xavier right outside.

The two looked at each other.

“Xavier." Khalil smiled as he walked to him. He offered a handshake that Xavier hardly accepted. “I see you're good."

“I decided to pick my wife personally." He looked over to Jade.

His eyes studied her dress.

Khalil walked back to Jade. “I have to go." He looked at Xavier. “Thank you." He placed a light kiss on her cheek.

Jade waved at him and walked away but shortly walked back to hug him. “Thank you for your time."

Khalil sniffed in her scent as his eyes slowly raised to meet Xavier's angry eyes although he tried to hide it. " Let me know if you need me.” He whispered into her ear.

Jade walked to Xavier's car and got in without letting him open the door for her.

His fingers tightened around the steering wheel as they drove in silence.

He slightly looked at her dress and the hug she shared with Khalil kept flashing in his head.

He felt hot anger filling him up gently.
