Matthew was parched and exhausted, his throat nearly burning with thirst. Every step felt like it could be his last. The blazing sun showed no sign of mercy, relentlessly scorching him as he trudged along. His vision blurred, and he was unable to make out anything clearly. Even in his dazed state, however, he refused to stop.

As he staggered forward, snowflakes suddenly drifted down in front of him. To his astonishment, he saw a snow-covered plain ahead—a glacier.

With the last ounce of his strength, Matthew rushed forward, scooping up handfuls of snow and shoveling them into his mouth. The cold hit him instantly, soothing his burning body. He let out a sound of relief.

Soon, the freezing cold invaded his body, wrapping him in an icy grip. His limbs went numb, and his fingers cramped up as he struggled to move. Slowly, he forced himself to continue walking, but the blizzard engulfed him and turned him into a snowman.
