It wasn't until a little past seven o’clock in the morning when Daisy slipped out of her bedroom. She had been up most of the night, watching Brett sleep. Daisy's back hit the mat with enough force to knock the air from her lungs. Stunned, she blinked up at the ceiling, trying to catch her breath. Pith looked at her and shook his head.
