It's been over two weeks since I last seen her, talked to her, have her close to me. It's been over two weeks since I last saw her sleep and watch her as a stalker.
And I pushed her away because of my trust issues, I can't tolerate disloyalty, and I should know that she would never do anything to hurt me on purpose but it's been so long since I've seen her and I don't know if things are still the same between us.
A lot of people have used me and are still trying to use me. Some see me as a threat and I need to know where she falls with me.
I know she knows about my sudden success but she doesn't know about how I got it, however, her question threw me off and I tried to cover it with some humour but she seemed adamant to know the answer and it made me think she was working with her father.
They've always known she was my kryptonite, and for some reason, I always hoped I was hers. That's why I needed to know how much had happened in her life while I was gone.
Had she found some boyfriend that kept her company and that she had somehow fallen in love with? But seeing from her behaviour at the party and what she said to me, she hasn't been happy for the longest time, she's just been living her life for her dad.
She didn't even know what she wanted for her own life, what it was that would make her happy. Her father had corrupted her mind so much she was okay with being in a career that wasn't for her. If only her mother was still here.
Straightening my suit, I went over my speech a thousand times in my head that I would deliver to her father, a business meeting that I had requested, just so that I could see her again. Just a glimpse of her would cool down the need to have her with me all the time. I needed to see her.
"Good day, Mr Daniels. Mr Adams is in his office," the maid gestured to the room upstairs, nothing has changed in this house.
"Where's Amelia?" I grunted out disturbed by the fact that I hadn't seen her yet. You just arrived, relax.
"Ms Adams retired to her bedroom shortly after breakfast, shall I call her for you?" she asked looking up at me and I shook my head dismissing her.
I walked up to his office and the door was open.
"Come in, Daniels," he said roughly and I rolled my eyes entering his office. I was immediately engulfed in a musky scent, I looked around his office and noted that it had little change in it. The desk was still in the same place, his bookcase had more books now, however, he never had that painting on the wall behind him.
I unbuttoned my suit jacket right before I sat down on the chair, my eyes scanned over him as he finished off writing some stuff on his papers and signing it off.
He closed the document and put it aside neatly while putting his engraved R.A pen on his left. His glasses rested on the bridge of his nose before he took them off placing them near his pen.
"This feels familiar doesn't it?" he said finally looking at me, he had a smirk splayed on his face as we both recalled the last time I sat in front of his desk pleading for him to grant my one request, back when I had nothing.
"Much so, however, I do believe this time things will go different," I replied confidentiality and he smiled leaning back on his chair.
"I wish to know what goes on in your head, but that will have to wait as much important issues wait for our discussion."
"Indeed they do. I intend on taking a quarter of the D'nialds block on the harbour, what's your take on it?" I told him leaning against my chair. He got up from his chair and walked over to his minibar and poured us both a drink.
Passing me my drink, he sat down sipping his drink slowly before putting it down.
"What makes you think you can?"
"Obviously my status now, need I remind you that I have passed your ranking and I'm much more friendly with the Barreau's more than you are."
"How'd you do it again?" he asked putting his finger under his chin as he leaned back looking at me. "Was it the work you did for the Crows or Snakes? Or was it merely good ethics?"
"Good business," I answered taking a sip of my drink and he roared with laughter.
"Good business," he repeated shaking his head. "However I have to refuse your take, a quarter percentage is way too much and too risky for my business. I'm willing to give you one point two percent."
"Don't ridicule me, Rick, one point two percent is no higher than three cents on a good day, let alone it's twenty percent lower than I bargained for," I said standing up and putting my hands in my pockets. I walked over to his window and looked out to the estate.
Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw Amelia coming out of the sliding doors with a towel and a book in her hands. She had a fairly large sunhat on with shades. She was wearing a two-piece red bikini that shaped out her body way too well.
I felt a stir in my pants just from looking at her. Turning her back towards me she bent over preparing her chair and I had to hold in my groan as I watched her. I had already muted Rick as he continued explaining his reasons behind his pathetic offer, he must take me for a fool.
She sat down on her chair and opened her book covering her face with it, no I need to see her.
I took my phone out and shot her a quick message still hearing Rick talk a bunch of crap.
You look beautiful.
She looked at her phone confused looking around her but never up. She shrugged the message off and went back to her book. A few seconds later, she put her book down and her hands went behind her back slowly untying the knot that kept her breasts hidden. She removed her bra and put it next to her.
Fuckkkkkkk!
Put it back on!
I for one was enjoying the view but I didn't like how other people could see it as well. Thoughts of what I could do to those breasts flooded my mind, I bet they'd be soft against my palms, and her sweet chocolate areola making it irresistible not to taste her. My pants tightened as I thought of possibilities, fucking possibilities.
"Daniels, are you listening?" Rick pulled me out of my thoughts and I still looked at Amelia.
"I have a new proposal," I said turning around. "I want Amelia."
"What?"
"I want Amelia to come work for me, and I won't touch your D'nialds block," I offered and he frowned.
"Just like last time, no."
"Perhaps I didn't phrase that correctly, Amelia works for me now, if not, I will take the whole block."
He seemed to be in thought about it before he got up from his chair extending his hand. "Deal."
"Pleasure doing business. Goodbye Rick," I got out of his office and walked to the pool area. Amelia was in the pool swimming and I stood by the edge waiting for her.
She slowly came up from under the water and her eyes met mine in shock, she climbed out of the pool using the stairs and I walked closer to her.
"I said put it back on," I growled out handing her the bra, she looked at it before looking down at her breasts, I allowed my eyes to do the same, the only problem is I did that a bit longer and she was already staring at me with a smile.
"Nah, I like them wet. Don't they look better this way?" she asked grabbing them in her hands and squeezing them, my hands itched to touch them, feel them. My tongue craved to have them in my mouth and make them wet.
"I don't think seducing your boss is allowed Amelia," I whispered walking closer to her. "However, I will make an exception because we're not in the office."
She looked up at me confused and I smirked.
"Huh?"
"You work for me now, love," I said nipping her ear and walked away.
"What!"
My ass is too big. That was the first thought that came to my mind as I looked at myself through the mirror. This dress was doing little to conceal my curves and booty. So before you ask why am I trying to hide my curves and what not's, why not show the world what my mama gave me right?Well, the thing is I did, and to apparently my new boss and my mama left me so that's why I'm trying to hide all this baggage I'm naturally carrying."Honestly, Amelia, you look beautiful. Stop trying to hide all those wonderful attributes I wish I had," Aurora said as she laid on my bed playing with my shoes.Aurora was my only friend, we were the same age, however, Aurora worked for my dad, well for the house in this case. She was and I really don't like using this term, the maid but more of my friend than the maid. She was madly in love with Chris, who happened to be one of the guards at home and also sometimes, when needed be my personal bodyguard. He was chilled, quiet, hardly smiles. Now Aurora wa
I stared at him as I processed his words, 'You're late', he said. Now I for one don't agree and I'm going to shed some late why I don't. "It really depends on the way you look at it," I said and he raised his head looking at me straight in the eye but not before his eyes taking in what I was dressed in, he gulped and sat straighter cocking his head to the side.
I watched Amelia work with no break, she would look out into the view as she scanned the papers into her computer. Her right foot tapped slowly with the sound of the printer while softly humming a song. She seemed really invested in her work and spent as much time in there as possible. Wheneve
"So, how was your first day at work?" Aurora asked me a bit too cheerily and I frowned dropping myself onto my bed, I was exhausted, annoyed and hungry. "Not good I suppose?" "It was awful," I said into the pillows and she shifted closer to me. "Say that again please?"
The constant vibration of my phone annoyed the hell out of me seeing that I was still sleeping, for one, I knew that wasn't my alarm because it would wake me up every thirty seconds, and I didn't bother to check what it was or who it is. Finally, it's stopped vibrating and ringing and I smiled getting back to my sleep, with a second the stupid phone rang again and I screamed into my pillow wanting to cry, all I wanted was just one more hour of sleep.
After the little talk JJ and I had, I decided to go back and finish the little work I had left while I patiently waited to tell him his meeting was about to start. My phone vibrated against my desk and I picked it up seeing it was a video call from Aurora, answering it immediately, my screen was a beet red Aurora smiling weirdly at me.
When I got home, I found Aurora sitting outside by the garden and decided to join her. Today had been a bit fun but also stressful and I just wanted to be in the presence of my friend and be at peace. We both sat quietly as we watched the birds fly into their nests and as the trees danced with the wind, it was beautiful and peaceful and I just wanted to sleep out here. "Ready to talk about it?" Ora asked me while still looking out into the garden, heaving a sigh, I got up and we walked together to my bedroom. I grabbed my suitcase from my closet and threw it on the bed without saying anything. "Are you running away again?" she asked me as she grabbed clothes from my closet without even asking me where I was going.
I watched Amelia as she slept with her knees curled up under her and her head supported with a pillow that was pressed against the window. She had declined my offer for her to sleep on the bed saying she was alright where she is, yeah right, her feet kept dropping off the seat and she would huff in annoyance. This time around, she changed her position and sat straight up putting the pillow behind her neck. She crossed her arms on her lap and sighed, closing her eyes again. Getting up from where I was sitting, I bent down carrying her from her knees and she opened her eyes shrieking. "What are you doing?" she asked softly, obviously still sleepy, either way, she wrapped her hands around my neck and pushed herself closer to me burying her head on my chest.&
Two years after giving birth to Adrian, Jason and I were finally getting married...with more people around this time. During those two years, it definitely wasn't easy, we had just welcomed our newborn baby, the merger of the company was taking place and we were getting used to our two different families who weren't so different. Jason's side of the family was amazing, they were supportive and always wanted us to visit them with their favourite grandson, my side of the family was just as amazing, always present and helpful in raising Adrian. It wasn't easy at first after giving birth, there were many sleepless nights, debates on who's changing the diaper, or who's turn it was to stay up all night. I was the one who always stayed up all night and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I was a sweating mess. My hair was sticking onto my face, the light cloth that covered my body stuck onto me like a second skin, I smelt bad, just like sweat and I felt horrible. Screaming out for the umpteenth time today, feeling the excruciating labour pain kick me again and each time worse than before, I looked over at my husband whose face was scrunched up in pain as I squeezed his hand...if I was feeling this, he had to feel it too. Even though his wasn't anything measured up to mine. "Baby, breathe," he said, noticing my glare and doing those ridiculous breathing exercises. Deep breaths in and deep breaths out, it didn't work! And it didn't help with getting this baby out of me, on five centimetres dilated, half through getting his baby out of me. I think I should have been more clear when I said hous
"Okay, so how about, Jasper?" I asked suggestively as I laid on Jason's chest playing with the light stubble on his chin. "What does it mean?" he asked as he turned another page in the book he was reading, he looked so sexy with his glasses on, chewing on his bottom lip as he concentrated on his book and tried to give me attention as well. "Bringer of treasure, plus it's a fiery red gem that symbolises courage, endurance, and health," I explained to him watching his eyes stray from his book over to me. I still can't describe the feeling those eyes give me whenever they meet mine. "I like it," he said and his eyes roamed all over my face. "But I also like Declan," he said and my face scrunched up. "No, I don't like it," I said and he laughed while cl
"Happy birthday to you," I sang to Jason as I sat on top of him, waking him up I pushed the cupcake with the cliché one candle on it towards him. He gave me a boyish grin and pushed his hair back before sitting up straight. "Baby," he groaned, still smiling and I carried on singing, each note getting higher and higher as I jumped up and down softly. "Make a wish!" I exclaimed excitedly and he blew the candle out. Taking out the candle from the cake, I grabbed the cupcake and took a huge bite out of it. He stared at me shocked and I shrugged giggling. "I thought that was mine!" "The candle was yours," I said, still laughing, finishing off the cupcake he pouted and shook his head. "And this is delicious," I moaned with my mouthful of his cake.
I walked into Rick's and Kiara's house feeling extremely nervous and I was just about ready to vomit all of my anxiety out, but I was willing to stay strong, for my new family I had to stay strong. Where there's a will, there's a way. I cringed at my corny thought but it was a truthful thought that I'm not about to repeat! And of course, there is never a time I enter madam's house and she's not there, I wonder what it will be today. "Hey there, Ms CEO!" She chirped, waving her hands showing me she had just changed her nails, to a mustard colour and they were coffin-shaped, they weren't bad at all but for her skin colour, they didn't really compliment her pretty fingers, she did have pretty fingers. "Hey Kiara, how are you doing?" I asked clutchin
"Amelia Adams, will you do me the honours of becoming my wife, Mrs Daniels?" I stared at Jason feeling many emotions pass through me. Excitement and joy because I was really happy he proposed to me, I never thought the day would come but it's finally here! Confusion because I never really thought the day would be here. I stared into his eyes as the hopefulness turned into worry, was he worried about what my response would be? I swear when I woke up today I didn't think it would be filled with double exciting news despite the current circumstances which by the way were about to change. "Amelia?" he choked out standing up and I realized I hadn't answered him yet. "Get back on your knee!" I quickly said, pushing him back down and nodding my head rapidly. "Yes, I'd love
Jason I sat in my home office sorting out files and making necessary adjustments to the documents before leaning back on my chair and releasing a heavy sigh. I read through the files I had just compiled together and I could feel the frown between my eyebrows deepen. I felt soft hands release the tension on my shoulders as they applied enough pressure, her lips made contact with my ear and I felt a pleasurable shiver run down my skin. "You're so tense, daddy. You should relax," I released a groan and held her hand to bring her around so that she could stand in front of me. My breath hitched as soon as I saw what she was wearing. "Do you like it, daddy?"
I had finally decided to have lunch with Marlene because under all this stress and shit that was currently happening, I thought I should at least get to know something about my brother's. I rushed into the restaurant after talking to Jason who wouldn't stop calling every two hours. "I hope I didn't keep you waiting long?" I said to her and she shook her head, getting up and giving me a hug which I didn't expect at all. "It's alright, thank you for agreeing to meet me," she said excitedly and I smiled while taking my seat. "So how have you been? Your engagement and new position caught us all by surprise." "You can thank Rick for that," I mumbled under my breath and she gasped leaning forward. "The engagement too?" she ask
I stood in Jason's kitchen waiting for my food to warm up. I woke up starving not that it was anything new. I sent Ora a few texts before pushing myself off the counter once I heard the ding telling me my food was ready. I opened the microwave and I was attacked with sweet satisfying smells that made my stomach growl. I grabbed my bowl and instantly dug into my food walking out the kitchen and almost bumped into Jason, luckily my food was safe. "Hi," he whispered and I nodded my head taking another spoonful of food, a smile made its way on his face and I shrugged in question. "You must've been hungry." "I woke up hungry," I said softly as I took another spoon. "It's quite normal," I said walking away to the living room.
