Dark. It was so dark, her eyes felt heavy and it was hard to breathe. Halle couldn’t tell if she was alive or dead. All she heard was Martha's voice echoing in her head over and over again and it only served to remind her just how disposable she was to the Stone family. Halle quickly got to work, she brought out his favorite cotton pants and hoodie. Then she stripped him of the clothes he had worn earlier in the morning. The pants were harder to take off because they were wet so she had to use the scissor in his bedside drawer to cut it off. She listened for his heart best every twenty seconds as she dressed him up. The next morning, Halle wished she didn’t dredge what was to come but the emotions she felt were a mix of apprehension and excitement. She was the first to wake up despite being the last person to fall asleep.
