Chapter 2: Repaying

“Hey, there is a sound.”

One person in the group shouted loudly. Lily sweated, but she did not dare to move. She didn’t know whether they had discovered her hiding place or not? Stationing troops and lying low right now is the best option.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps receding away but not coming to her. Lily moved forward and looked at a group of people who were running far away. She surely predicts that if they find out that it is not her, they instantly return to find her.

Lily turned her head, and she started to run as fast as possible as she could in the opposite direction of them. In the forest full of trees, there were a lot of big tree roots blocking her steps, but she still tried to escape from this damp place.

Each gust of wind whistling on the top of the tree sounds like the call of the devil from hell as they want to pull her down.

Later, this group of people found out that the noises just came from wild deer. They became angry and shot the deer. The blood splattered on the ground, but it also could not lessen their anger and desire to kill people.

“all of you, turn back, let’s chase her”

The biggest guy spoke aloud in a hoarse voice. Each of his dragon tattoos on his neck and the back of his neck became wrinkled because of his anger.

They continued to return to that place. Suddenly, a large animal blocked the way. It extended its sharp claws toward the group of people. One by one, they were torn apart in the middle of the forest, even the biggest guy.

The animal looks like a big wolf. The animal smelled and it chased in the direction in which Lily was running.

Lily didn't even know that while she was running, a big wolf was chasing after her.

She didn’t dare to take a rest, she just continued to run as far as possible until she got to a dead end. Sitting on a high ledge, she prayed to God to give her a little blessing and the last ray of hope for survival.

But the gods were so high up in the sky that they couldn't hear her call. Finally, that wolf also got there. The wolf stood there, its eyes fixed on hers, approaching her cautiously.

“Don't come here, I beg of you.”

Lily's voice and sobs didn't make the wolf feel its heart was touched. It seems that the wolf didn't understand human language, so it continued to move on.

She looked at the hair and body covered in blood, and the big eyes of the wolf, which made her feel fear, then she backed away.

“No, I beg of you, don't come here.”

“Ah, Ah, Ah….”

She shouted loudly because she was cornered, then she fell into the abyss. The wolf rushed over, but she had fallen into the abyss.

She felt like she was floating in the air, such a strange feeling. Suddenly, her shirt got caught by a tree branch, and that caused her to be hanged on the wall of the abyss.

The sound of a tree breaking branches because it couldn’t take her weight. She discovered that there was a path below her. Underneath the cave, some strange creatures were looking up at her. They jumped up, this action was like they wanted to drag her fall into the cave. She didn't know where she was and the strange creatures which could jump more than 5 meters. But luckily, Lily's stuck at a very high place.

The branch was quite broken. Lily tried to grab a stronger branch, but this branch was too far away, her body wobbling, which made the branch break more terribly.

“A, a, a…”

She fell to the ground. A group of people with fierce-faced, long, and sharp fingernails, stared at her as if they wanted to devour her.

“I'm sure that her meat is very tasty and tender.”

Each person said a sentence. They want to eat her. She shrunk and panicked. She said:

“Who are you? Why do you want to eat humans while you are human?”

They burst out laughing and didn't care about her words. A skinny guy approached Lily and then the guy touched her cheek with a long and pointed fingernail.

Lily shoved his arm away. Unfortunately, his fingernails scratched her face and the blood started to flow.

That further stimulated the appetite of the crowd. They smelled the blood on her cheeks.

They jostled each other to eat her meat. Because she just turned 18 years old, the most beautiful age of a person's youth.

“Get out, get out of here, don’t touch me”

Lily replied in fear, each tear of hers washed away her makeup, which was for school this morning.

It was only less than a day but she felt like she had passed through the centuries. Lily thought that maybe her life could finish here, and everything painful for her would finish also, which are the days she was beaten by her drug-addicted father every day when he arrived home.

Lily curled up with a body covered in blood, eyes closed, and she waited to die. But the howls of the crowd next to her about having caught this delicious food made her feel that she did not hope anymore.

Suddenly, the voice of a young man resounded. Lily opened her eyes and all she saw was a very handsome guy. His face exuded masculinity. He wears a coat. He has a toned chest and abs along with his wet bouncy hair.

He forcefully smashed the crowd which surrounded her with a large stick. When they saw him, they knelt and begged for forgiveness.

“I beg you, Your Highness, please forgive us.”

So he was a prince. So where was this? Was it possible that you were the prince of England? But if all things that Lily remembered correctly, the current prince was not this person.

That was in her mind at that time, but he was also her benefactor anyway. So, whoever he was, he was still the one who saved her life, the one who reincarnated her for the second time.

Lily raised her head, her eyes full of determination, and said:

“I don’t fear, you helped me, that is the reason why you can not eat me. More than your face, I am sure that you are very kind and you are a good person.”

The man laughed loudly.

“You know how to judge people, okay, I'm happy today, I'll let you follow me.”
