I was closed for the day and I stood up from my seat and took my Berkin handbag and car key as I head out of my office, 

“Doctor?” Nurse Rose called stopping me, 

“Yeah…..”

“About the patience from earlier?”

“Assign them to another doctor I'm too busy to attend to them”

“But Doctor…”

“That's all for today Rose, see you tomorrow” I said to her as I began to leave, I was almost getting close to the entrance of the hospital door when I heard my name

“Millan?” 

I halted on my step and slowly turned, and standing before me is no other than the First Lady of the Ivanov family, Rolland's mother, the woman that thinks the world revolves around her, 

I smiled sarcastically and asked 

“Do I know you?” I asked, even though her husband was standing right next to her, 

“I beg your pardon, are you saying you don't know me?” She pointed at herself 

“Am I supposed to know you? Are you someone important?’’ I shrugged my shoulders adding to her anger, I could see her eyes twitching as she gritted her teeth

“Uhhh….hmmmm” She took a deep breath trying to calm her nerves while I rolled my eyes at how dramatic she was

“Well if you don't know me I bet you know the man standing beside me, but if you don't I can as well reintroduce myself, I'm Evelyn Ivanov the mother Of Rolland the man you love” 

“Well I'm sorry I can't remember loving any man with that name” I corrected her immediately 

“Hmmm, I can see…..” She hummed, nodding her head

“Well I'll like to speak to you about my son” 

“Oops I'm close for work and have no spare time” I said and turned my back to leave

“We were referred to this hospital and were specifically directed to you to oversee our son's health. Why are you keeping enmity instead of performing your duty as a doctor and a mother or could it be you're still in love with my son?” 

Her words made me stopped on my tract as I retrace my steps and turned to her, 

“In love? With who? Your son? Oh please that's a history” I spoke with calm composure looking at her bizarre expression 

“It baffles me how you rich people flatter yourself, Please wake up Evelyn you dream too much, you're so delusional, anyways let me answer your question, I'm not the only Surgeon in this hospital, here is filled with the best neurosurgeons you can find in the world, I've moved your son to another doctor so be sure he's going to be in safe hands. I hope I've answered your question” 

“And what about your son who will donate his kidney to save our son's life?”

“Excuse me, who's son?” 

“Come on Millan, my husband said you had a son for Rolland, can't you see Rolland is dying” 

“Dying? I'm sorry but what does that have to do with me?” I asked blinking rapidly 

“You want my son to give his kidney to your son, I love how your family is filled with dreamers, what happened to the wife that Rolland married?”

“She's a model she's still focussed on her career it's not time for her to be a mother yet”

“Okay, So how is that my Business” 

“Come on Millan, we never knew you were pregnant for our son back then if we had known we would have taken care of you and him”

“You say what? You never knew?, so your darling husband never told you how I came to tell Rolland about the pregnancy and he offered me ten (10) million dollars to abort it? Well since he didn't tell you I can as well tell you how it happened”

“Eight years ago after the doctor told me in the hospital that I was two months pregnant which was eight weeks gone, my mum and I took a taxi and came straight to the Ivanov mansion but on getting to the entrance the guards stopped us, and said that we are no longer accepted into the mansion and when I asked who gave such order, your husband stepped out from the mansion and said it's Roland

I asked him why would Rolland gave such authorization but he didn't answer, I went on to tell him that he was lying to me and he asked me to walk into the mansion with him and that was when I saw what what was going on, Rolland was married and celebrating with his newly wedded wife , 

I told your husband here that I was pregnant for Rolland and needed to tell him but what did your husband say? He called my unborn child a distraction, and said that a child that is born out of me which came from the slumps is not fit to be an Ivanov, he offered me a ten million dollar cheque to abort my baby which I rejected and left, remember what I told you Don?” I took a step closer to him with no expression just a blank face

“I told you Don, that one day I'll make you regret your words, but guess what? I don't even want to do that no more, I'm way past that shenanigans, I just want to focus on myself and myself alone, no drama, so please Ivanovs leave me alone, I dealt with a lot of patience today, I'm too tired to be bothered and what's happening to your son is none of my business, I would appreciate if you guys stay out of my life for good”  

“Millan please we are sorry for all that happened in the past” Don pleaded with his hands folded together 

I sighed and look around the hospital as they were beginning to draw attention 

“You're getting it all wrong Don, I don't care about the past, I would appreciate if you people stop meddling in my life and find a way to fix yours, I'm out of here” I said to them and turned to leave 

“Name your price” Evelyn's voice yelled, 

I scoffed and smiled in a calm way

“You still don't get it, do you? There's no baby, your husband made me abort my child” 

“What?! Father, you did what?!” I heard that familiar voice that I'll always recognize in my sleep, I slowly turned to my right and saw Rolland on a wheelchair looking at me“ 

“Oops he doesn't look like someone who's about to die” 

“Millan?!” He called in shock and began wheeling towards me, he got to me in the next seconds and nearly fell from his wheelchair, 

“Millan?”

“Millan my heartbeat”

“Is this you?” He asked in desperation but I gently backed away from him immediately 

“Son?” His father called and rushed to him while the nurses tried to pull him up 

“Don't touch me father!” He yelled at his dad and he backed away immediately 

“Millan?” He called and tried crawling towards me to hold my feet but I shifted back immediately 

“Do we know each other?” I pointed obliviously 

“Millan I can explain”

“Nurse?” I called on the nurse behind him

“Yes doctor?” 

“Add brain check to the Patience's test he needs it” 

“Yes doctor” She nodded immediately writing it down

“Are you saying my son is crazy?” Evelyn snarled 

“You just did” I shrugged my shoulder in smiles

“You…….!” She pointed accusing fingers at me

“Son?” His father called and tried touching him again

“Don't father! What did you do?!” He pointed accusing fingers at him

“Oops looks like there's going to be a family war soon, anyways you guys should not forget….” I said and turned to leave

“Forget what?” Evelyn asked, I tap on my sunglasses, and turned to her with a smile

“That I cannot treat your son and cannot offer any help as well”

I put on my sunglasses as I left the hospital, I got into my Lamborghini and drove off smiling graciously.

The nerve of these people to look down on me even

after so many years, a thought suddenly crossed my mind and I smiled, I think I've got the perfect plan to help them or should I say…….
