Chapter 4

I am surrounded by vipers, poisonous and dangerous people who continuously, stick their fangs into my skin desperately wanting to tear my flesh apart, who are capable of committing all sorts of heinous crimes.

I don’t know why I haven't run away, why am I still stuck here.

My pain, who's gonna comfort me?

My complaints, who's willing to listen?

My tears, who's gonna wipe it off my face?

NO ONE

You let me down, you let me drown you let me get lost

I've been alone for too long and it's scary, who has the right to judge me?

I am overshadowed by darkness that I feel like I have become a have shadow, I'm always late that I always miss out on the sunrise view.

It’s cold and empty around me, who's gonna keep me company? who's gonna stay? who's gonna make me a promise and fulfil it?

I must be strong for me to have come this far.

Do you think I’m strong or I already lost my self while enduring?"

I was lost in thoughts when I felt pain on my head, and soon I heard the shattering noise of a mug followed by Yvonne yelling at me. it turns out my own mother hit me with a mug.

How dare you ignore me" she barked

She didn't let me speak when she attacked me with a knife, cutting me with ignoring my screams. After she was done, she left me on the floor

Better clean up my kitchen" with that she walked away leaving me to bleed to death.

How long will all these go on?"

Yup, it’s another day and everyone seem normal, that includes me, I guess. It’s not like a have a choice.

I already tended to my wound, don’t want to die of bleeding not like they’re going to care but still I can’t give them the satisfaction they want especially Selena.

I tore my cloth and used the piece to dress the wound, even though it’s not hygienic. This is not the first time I’m doing such.

After what happened with Yvonne, I went to sleep on an empty stomach. There was no one to cook for. Mr. Ross is currently out of the country, Selena went on a date with MY MAN and Yvonne went out with friends.

I am not permitted to cook anything for myself, neither am I allowed to eat when everyone is out since there would be no leftover for me to eat.

All parts of my body hurt, my head? my heart? name it.

Xander called me later in the night, but I didn’t answer the call because not only was I frustrated, but I was also in pain. If we had talked, I would have lashed out on him.

I really do not want to blame him, but I can’t help it. At this point there’s no point pretending to be fine.

Xander must be anxious because he called 10 times and left 26 messages.

Its high time he realized how much everything is hurting me, no more pretense. I’m not selfish, I understand the situation he’s in that is the reason I tolerated everything for so long.

Selena came back this morning and I guess she passed the night at Xander’s house. I don’t even want to think about it.

Do I trust Xander? Yes, with my whole heart, I do but I don’t and will never trust Selena, that girl is a two-faced bitch.

Anyways yesterday is gone and today is here.

Yvonne and Selena already had breakfast and as usual they left, remaining little food in their plates, if it were up to them, they wouldn’t. I know I’m a great cook, not like they will admit it directly but from their action, it is very clear.

After eating the remaining crumbs, I felt better. I’m surprised my ulcer pain didn’t act up too much. It’s not like I’m on any medication.

Today is Saturday and unlike some people that go out to have fun, I stay at home, washing and cleaning. I don’t really feel bad about it because I only get better.

Am I proud of myself? Yes, I am. There are many things that I can do for someone my age.

Am I ready to get married? Yes, I am. Just lol, I am really laughing my ass out. One of the reasons I feel I’m ready for marriage is because I can efficiently manage a home. If I can take care of these grown idiots, I can literally take care of anyone.

Unlike some people, I’m a wife material, one thousand yards, purr.

Don’t ask me why I’m hyperactive today, it just occurred to me that some people may have everything they need, they may seem to be leading a fantastic life, a life of luxury but they can never be in the same league as me. 

The reason is because, I am better than them. I may not have all the wealth now, but I believe my time will come. I am intelligent, beautiful, a good cook and many more.

So, if you think I’m proud, please feel free to think such.

Immediately I finished cleaning the living room, Selena walked in, stepping on the floor not minding that the floor is still wet.

The only thing I admire about her is her expensive taste, she smells nice. C’mon don’t be surprised, I appreciate good stuffs.

“Hey dummy, I’m going shopping, clean and arrange my room, sort out the dirty clothes from the clean ones and wash them.  Make sure to wash up before entering my room, I don’t want any form of contamination in my room.”

I was just looking at her, trying so hard to control my anger because I really want to slap her right now so she could just shut the hell up.

“What are you staring at? Don’t tell me you are expecting a ‘thank you’ from me?” She chuckled.

“Don’t be delusional young lady, get going already” she barked before walking out.

“You know you didn’t have to yell, right?” I asked.

“What?” She abruptly stopped on her track.

“What did you just say?” She asked again.

“Exactly what you heard me say” I reckoned.

At this point, her face has completely turned red, she matched towards me in anger.

She raised her hand to hit me, but it got suspended in air because I held it

“How dare you?” she yelled

“No, how dare you? Selena! How dare you try to hit me? I have tolerated you for a long time now and I think it’s time we talk about respect”.

“What respect? You are right you know. If anyone needs to show respect, it must be you. I am the young mistress of this mansion, and you are the servant. I know you are not dumb; I am sure you know the order of hierarchy.” She smirked.

I have respected you for a long time not because you deserve it, but I expect you to be sensible. Let’s get this straight, this should be the last time you bully me because the next time you try it, I don’t care about the consequences, but I’ll make sure you will need a face reconstruction” I warned.

By the time I finished talking, Selena looked so surprised with a trace of fear in her eyes.

Yup, she’s a coward.

She quickly recovered from the shock, after which she looked at me with a scorn.

“You will regret this” she murmured and stormed out.

Deep down I’m scared, but I refuse to show it. My life is about to become unbearable, but who cares?

I went up to Selena’s room to clean it without showering, it’s not like I am dirty.

As usual, her things are scattered everywhere including her underwear that lies carelessly on the floor and table.

She kept the bags that she wants to dispose aside. This girl is crazy.

They are all new designer bags. I searched inside, only to see 15k dollars, I was about to hide it inside my shirt when the door opened revealing Selena looking at angrily.

OMG!!” I’m done for.
