Chapter 7 The Truth

People knew the doctor's meaning. I must be seriously ill.

I kept asking. The doctor finally told me everything.

I had a rare disease, called hyperprolactinemia.

When one got this disease, one's period stopped, and breasts had swelling pain with headaches and drowsiness.

The symptoms were similar to pregnancy.

Combined with the stress coming from William's family, I had a false pregnancy reaction. This was why I got a positive result on the pregnancy test.

I couldn't stop the tears when I thought of William smiling and picking out clothes for the baby the other day.

The doctor told me, "I suspect hyperprolactinemia. A series of tests should be done later.

"More importantly, you should find out the reason why you got hyperprolactinemia. You'd better have a comprehensive checkup."

She then added, "Go get an MRI, just to make sure."

I looked at the list, dumbfounded. I needed an MRI of my brain.

What was wrong with my head?
