Chapter 109: Mother pays the Price

Ragnor had left the Immortal City to meet the governor concerning the human-vampire alliance. He planned to return the same day and hence could not risk-taking Clara who was in her first trimester of pregnancy period.

Ragnor asked his mum to help him look after his wife knowing Siku would want to harm her in his absence. He equally made Clara promise him she would not go anywhere alone. Feeling he had secured Clara enough; he went on his trip. Things didn't go as Ragnor had hoped. Clara's discomfort made him cut short the purpose of his trip and return to the palace only to find out that Clara was badly wounded and his bay was gone.

Ragnor left the palace to search for Siku. He had a strong feeling that Siku or Jessica had a hand in this even though he doesn't know exactly what happened but if Siku is guilty, he would end her. Siku on the other hand, sat on her bed in her family house, thinking of what to do.
