Chapter four - falling into him.

" Guess who I am working for." She paused again, keeping the girls in suspense.

" Who?" The girls asked in unison.

"The guy I fought with yesterday."

"What?" Sydney exclaimed.

"This is destiny." Gina said.

"What destiny?" Ariande asked.

"What are you trying to explain, Gina?" Sydney asked too.

" Listen," Gina adjusted her position. " They both had a big fight yesterday and that same yesterday, Ariande got a job at his place. This is not coincidence but destiny."

"Ok, enough of your sermon,Gina. There's no way I will like him. He also doesn't like me. He said that I was ugly and he would never want to look at me." Ariande said looking sad.

"I think our sister has fallen in love but unfortunately the man she loves doesn't love her." Gina said giggling.

"Shut up,Gina. I am not in love with anyone. How can I love someone that I just met yesterday?" Ariande argued further.

" I am the professional here. Trust me you two are destined to be together. Now concerning that 'ugly' part, I don't know what is on his mind. I am thinking..." Ariande interrupted Gina.

" Enough of the fortune telling, Gina. I have to leave now. Here's this food I brought from work,eat it okay?" Ariande kissed their cheeks and left.

"I am so happy that sis loves someone." Gina sighed.

"But she didn't say that she love him." Sydney said.

"Ahh! What do you know? Can't you see it in her eyes? Oh I have forgotten you can't see." Gina said admist her laughter. She immediately stood up and ran away.

"You don't have to be mean,you know. I'll get you for it! " Sydney screamed and chased Gina.

It was late in the afternoon when Ariande returned to her workplace. Xander was impatiently waiting for her already. He didn't understand but he seemed to miss her at the office. And the fact that she wasn't speaking well to him broke him.

"John,is sir home?" Ariande asked John, unaware that Xander had been long waiting for her. Xander saw her priceless smile while she was talking to John. She had never gave him that smile. Anyways, he enjoyed fighting with her. Her hated her quiet mode something must be troubling her. Before John could give response to Ariande's question.

"I am home already." Xander replied. Ariande turned her head towards his direction. Her smile disappeared. She walked to him

"I'm sorry, sir for leaving without telling you. I didn't want to disturb you so I told John instead."

"Apology accepted. You should tell me everything even if I am in a bad mood."

"Yes sir."

" Get my coffee upstairs."

"Yes sir." She said and dashed off.

Ariande carried the coffee to Xander's room. What if what Gina said came true?. According to John, the boss was mean, arrogant and ruthless but he never showed that part of him to her. What was going on?.

She knocked on his door and walked in.

"Here's your coffee sir." She was about to leave but Xander softly held her hand unlike the last time. 

" Sir"

"Xander"

"What?"

"Call me Xander, Ariande."

" Say it. I . want. to. hear it."

"Xan... Xander." Ariande gasped out his name. It felt like melody in his ears. It made him feel good.

"Hmm" He pulled her close to him and inhaled her scent. Ariande's eyes were about to pop out in shock. She pushed away and gave him a frown.

"What do you think you are doing,huh?. I have been quiet since doesn't mean you can do as you please." Ariande raised her voice.

"Why have you been so quiet,huh?" He tried to hold her again but she moved away. " You give everyone your beautiful smile but me... a frown. Why?!"

"Hold on sir. What exactly do you want?" She paused. " Just yesterday you said that you don't want to see me that I am ugly. 'Have anyone ever told you how ugly you are?' those were your words sir."

"I didn't mean to say that. I was just trying to make you angry. I didn't know that it would hurt you this much."

"Save your explanation to yourself. " She turned but he held her waist.

" Don't leave now. Ariande,why do you have this much effect on me?, why do I always want to be in your arms?, why do I want to live the rest of my life with you?. Tell me" He asked, his breathe were fanning her neck. Her legs became weak but she controlled herself from falling into him. 

" Why are you asking me that sir?"

"Xander. Don't call me sir but Xander."

"Xander. Why the questions?" She removed his hands from her waist. " Is something wrong sir... I mean Xander.?" The way he was looking at her body sent shivers to Ariande. 

Ariande had put on a tight ripped jeans and a crop top. Her attire exposed all her physique to Xander.

" You are beautiful, Ariande. So beautiful. " Ariande smacked his shoulder.

"Don't lie to yourself,Xander."

 " I am darn serious. I love you, so much. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want you to smile and vent your anger on only me." Ariande was speechless. Was this really Xander speaking or...? 

" I don't want you to suffer anymore. You have suffered enough. Please let me into your life." Her mouth was opened in shock just then Xander kissed her. His kiss went deeper. Ariande was a novice. She had no idea if she was kiss him back or not. Soon, she felt Xander's strong hands under her blouse. His kiss went to her neck. She tried hard not to moan.

She then regained her composure

"What are you doing, Xander?" She asked.

"Ariande, please... please, I need you." He sounded like a child pleading for an ice cream. 

" I can't  give you what you want because I don't know how to satisfy you. I have not done this before." Ariande said. Why was she talking to him about this gross topic?. She held her face and went to hid in the bathroom. She was really ashamed.
