Chapter Forty Four

I woke up and found myself on Vito’s body. We were so tired so we slept off on each other. I picked up my phone to check the time and it was almost time for the event.

I tapped on Vito, gently waking him up. “Get up. We’ll be late for the party.”

He jumped up and checked his watch. “How did we sleep off?” He stood up immediately and we both rushed upstairs. He stopped at my room first to get his clothes.

“We have barely an hour to get ready.” That was him indirectly telling me I shouldn’t waste time. He picked up his clothes and went back to his room.

I took a quick shower and did my hair. I packed it into a high ponytail and let some strands lay loose. I carefully did my makeup and made sure it was perfect.

I was indecisive about what dress to pick. I didn’t have enough time to get ready so I just settled for a simple black dress with spaghetti straps. It was tight at the top but flared out at the bottom. I paired it with some black heels and a gold bracelet. I p
