- Now we have reached a point that I wanted. - The expert returns the image the moment the black car picks up the criminals and runs away. - Look at this man. - He points to a guy who was hooded.

- No, that’s impossible. - The Commander was mesmerized by the scene she sees.

- Gutiérrez. The victim’s husband. He escaped a little over two weeks from the security penitentiary in Puerto Vallarta. I think we have a culprit, don’t you, Commander Petter?

- But in return for what he would kill his own companion? - Petter tried to put the pieces together.

- Because it was her or him. And of course he wouldn’t want the drug kingpin to kill him, so he killed his wife to get rid of it. - He explained.

- I can only thank you and congratulate you for the excellent work, without you we would condemn an innocent person. I’m going to issue a search warrant and seizure, I want the world police if I need them behind them, and I want these worms behind bars today. - She ordered with fury.

- And John? - The expert questioned.

- I’ll grant his innocence and release him. He’ll probably be free by tomorrow.

When everything was resolved and they finally found out who the real killer was, they went straight to the airport where he was trying to escape out of the country of Mexico. There the police did all the work and discovered more crimes that would yield some good years of imprisonment to Gutiérrez besides the murder of his wife Andy.

Commander Petter obtained further recognition for the thorough and exemplary work she had done in this brutal case against a young woman murdered in cold blood. After that day the Commander was renamed to the best commander of the state of Mexico, where not one case went unnoticed by her, despite receiving the title she still admitted that if it was not for the work of the Expert she would not have succeeded, and so she highlighted giving merit to the professionals who helped solve this mystery.

After a long press interview where Petter told in detail everything about the case, she left exhausted, because the day was very tiring and all the woman wanted was to get home and fall in her bed. As she was walking out the door and towards her car, she had a big surprise.

-Hello. - John spoke with a smile on his face.

- Oh my God! - The woman ran towards the redhead and jumped in his lap.

- Surprise.

- I should have listened to you that day John. I was a manipulative idiot. I didn’t open my eyes to see what was under my nose. Forgive me? - She said as she lowered her head, feeling ashamed.

- You’re an idiot Commander Petter, but I love you! Of course he forgave you.

The two went to a food court and spent hours talking. Petter told John how he found out he was innocent, and how he was feeling bad for not hearing him on the day he had him arrested. Despite the situation they experienced, it seemed that they were having a new chance of destiny to restart this beautiful love story.

As the woman spoke without stopping, John stared at the brunette’s face, the sunlight seemed to lose all the brightness when he was near her, he admired every possible detail of the woman’s face and his eyes shone with it.

- Those days when I got stuck, I didn’t feel bad about being in jail, I knew my innocence would be proven. What killed me inside was thinking that maybe I would lose you. - The redhead proposed to the Commander.

- I was also so afraid. Every minute I thought of you and somehow something inside me always believed that you are a good man.

- I think we can make it work again. - He suggested.

Petter began to cry because he never came close to having a healthy relationship with someone who really liked her. - Let’s make it work John Martinez. - She agreed as the man sitting next to her gently dried her tears.

They look at each other intensely, everything around was silent and the only noise possible to hear was the heart of both beating synchronized in tune. John begins to run two fingers through the Commander’s warm, reddish cheeks and notices her breathing decompensate. They stare in the eyes and then look down at the mouths that asked for the same thing. Petter runs his hand down Martinez’s neck, stopping at the nape of the neck, as they close their mouths in a calm kiss, but he could be intense with desire.

John passed his hand through the woman’s legs and with the other hand brought her closer to his body, as if it were possible for them to become one.

- John. - Murmured Petter trying to get out of the kiss. - We’re in public. - She brings his attention back, realizing they’re still in the food court.

- Are we going to end up in your house? - He said it maliciously.

- Great idea! - The commander said in a smile pulling Martinez by the arm.
