Chapter 4: I Didn't do it!

While they were inside the car, Carson felt the intense atmosphere between them. He gulped as he looked at them, especially at Brianna.  He could not believe what he was seeing in her.

He knew Brianna. In his less than two-year service to Logan Grey, he always saw her kindness, her innocence, and gentleness. But now, he was seeing a different Brianna, like what Logan said.

After half an hour, Carson parked the car at the entrance of the Sunshine Hospital.

Logan grabbed Brianna's shoulder and got out of the car.

"Let go of me, Logan. You're hurting me!"  Brianna fell because his grip was so hard which made her hurt.

Logan stopped pulling Brianna.  He looked at her.  He saw her serious eyes, but he didn't let go of her shoulder.

"If you don't let me go, I can charge you with intentional injury!"  there was a threat in Brianna's voice.

Because of what Brianna said, Logan gradually loosened his grip on her shoulder.  When he removed his hand, he saw the marks on his hand.

Logan felt guilty when he saw the red mark of his hand on her shoulder.  Not once did he think of hurting Brianna, but now, in his unconsciousness, he did this.

While Logan stood, Brianna walked into the hospital.  Logan followed his wife's gaze to the information desk and asked the nurse where Gabriella's room was.

"Go to your mistress' room first, Logan. I just need to use the bathroom," Brianna ordered.

Brianna's words narrowed Logan's eyes.

"Don't worry, I have no intention to run away," she assured.

"Follow me right away. You know you can't escape me, Brianna! You will pay for what you did to Gabriella!"

When Logan left, he took the elevator to go to Gabriella's room.  When he entered the room, he saw Gabriella lying down, and her eyes were closed.  He approached Gabriella and took her hand.

"Logan?"  Gabriella called him.

Logan smiled, "Yes, Gab. Don't worry, everything will be okay," he said.

Gabriella gave him a sweet smile.

Meanwhile, Brianna was walking toward Gabriella's room while talking to Jake.

"Tell me the truth, Brie! Is Logan your Husband!?" Jake asked her.

"Do what I said you to do, Jake! Don't spend your time asking silly questions!" Brianna answered.

Brianna heard his sigh, "Jordan is going to Sunshine City today. I know, you are in Sunshine City, Brei!" He informed her.

"Did Jordan know I am here?"

"No, I didn't tell him. I just want to inform you that for you to be aware. There is a big possibility that you will meet him," He answered.

"What will he do here?"

"I heard, he will handle a divorce agreement with Mr logan Grey!"

Brianna's eyes widened because of what Jake told her.

'He will handle our divorce agreement?'

"I will call you if I need you!"  Brianna said and closed her smartphone immediately.

'Why is Jordan still going here?  Why did Logan take Jordan!!'

Brianna calmed herself.  She thought about something before Logan and Jordan met.

When Brianna arrived in front of Gabriella's room, she immediately opened it.  She saw Logan and Gabriella happily talking to each other, while Carson was on the couch, sitting and watching the two love birds.

"Carson. Take a picture of them!"  Brianna ordered.

Carson's eyes widened at Brianna's sudden arrival.  He stood up from his seat and faced her.

"Faster! Take pictures of them. I will use it to sue them!"

Logan stood up because of what Brianna did, and he looked at her seriously.

"Don't make a fuss here, Brianna!"  Logan yelled.

Brianna smiled and walked to approach them.

"Mrs Grey, don't ..... Don't think of malice. Logan and I are not doing anything bad!"  Gabriella panicked when she saw Brianna.

Brianna observed Gabriella.  It was true that she was a stunning woman.  Her face was like an angel that could not break a glass.  No wonder why Logan was crazy about her.

"I would have believed what you said if you weren't holding Logan's hand," Brianna said.

Gabriella quickly let go of Logan's hand.

"Don't make another issue here, Brianna. You know why we're here!"  Logan spoke.

"Carson, go to security, and bring the nurse who tried to poison Gabriella!"  he ordered.

"Let's wait for the nurse to explain what you did, Brianna!"

Brianna didn't answer.  She walked to the couch and sat like a boss.  Logan's eyes narrowed due to Brianna ignoring him.

When Carson got back, he was with the two guards and the nurse that Logan said poisoned Gabriella.

Brianna stood up and faced the nurse.

"Who ordered you to poison Miss Gabriella Morgan?"  Brianna asked the nurse.

The nurse bowed before she answered, "Mrs Brianna Grey."

Brianna sighed.

"Do you know me?"

The nurse raised her head to look at Brianna.  She tilted her head to answer her question.

"How do you know that Mrs Gray ordered you to poison Miss Morgan?"

"She sent me messages. She threatened me that if I didn't do what she ordered, my family would be killed," the nurse answered, her voice stuttering.

"And if I am successful, she will give me a hundred dollars," she continued.

"So, now, Brianna. Explain yourself!"  Logan yelled.

"I didn't do it," Brianna answered calmly and looked at the nurse.

"I am Brianna Grey. I didn't send you messages like what you said!"

The nurse's eyes widened as Brianna introduced herself.

"But, you texted me! You threatened to kill my family and offered me money!"

"As I said, I didn't do it!"

"How do you explain and defend yourself on this, Brianna? The suspect already pointed at you as the mastermind!"  Logan couldn't stop interrogating her.

Brianna smiled, "Seriously, Logan?"

Logan frowned because of what Brianna told him.  He clenched his fist and quickly approached Brianna.  He looked at her like he wanted to kill Brianna.

"Where is your mind? Has your brain moved from your head to your feet?"  Brianna mocked him.

"Don't change the subject, Brianna! Just answer my questions!"

Brianna took a deep breath and then looked seriously at Logan.

"Bring her phone," Brianna ordered.

"Why? What are you going to do?"

"If you're in your right mind, Logan, I shouldn't have been the first one you went to. You should have called the police officers and asked them to investigate her phone," Brianna replied.

Logan was silent because of what he said.  He looked at the guards, "Where is her phone?"  he asked.

A guard took the nurse's phone and gave it to Logan.

"Carson, check the phone inbox. Get the smartphone number and locate the IP address!"  Brianna ordered.

Logan swallowed because of Brianna's words.  He just stared at his wife.  He didn't think she was calm and she could think in this kind of situation as if she didn't have it.

Carson did what Brianna said. They waited to see what the result would be.  In less than an hour, they got the result of what Brianna ordered.

"The number is from Jade City," Carson informed them.

"Now, tell me, Logan. Am I the one who ordered this nurse to poison your lovely mistress?"  Brianna asked.

Logan was speechless.  He just stared at his wife.

When Logan found out that Gabriella was poisoned and Brianna was the mastermind, he couldn't think straight.  He quickly went to Brianna to hear her explanation.

Logan looked at Carson, "Investigate this, and I need the result tomorrow!"  He ordered.

"Logan," Gabriella called him.

Logan quickly approaches her in the bed.

"Do you feel something, Gab?"  Logan asked with concern.

"Don't forget I'm still here, Logan," Brianna talked.

Logan looked at Brianna who had her smartphone pointed at them.

"I just want to record both of you so I can forget you more easily, and if I don't get what I want, I will send it to your family, Logan," Brianna said.

"Logan, I want to rest," Gabriella said.

Logan approached Brianna.  Logan grabbed Brianna's arm and left Gabriella's room.  The two guards and the nurse followed.

"Where will we go?"  Brianna asked.

"At home to talk properly!"  Logan answered.

Brianna tilted her head and followed what Logan said.

Meanwhile, Gabriella was alone inside her room.  She picked up her phone at the side and dialled a number.

"Brianna is innocent. Who is planning to poison me?"  she informed and asked the man on the other line.

"Don't worry, Honey. I will track who is the mastermind. Just stay with Logan until you get what we want!"

"Okay. After this, we will be happy together!"

"Yeah, and all our problems will be solved!"

"I love you!"

"I love you, too, Honey. Just rest. I have a lot to do."
