Chapter 59
Aurum stood in a house situated in the middle of the capital of the kingdom that now belonged to the witch, Flee, his wife. The house was in a busy area where it was always noisy. He was hiding her in plain sight. Flee closed the door once Aurum entered and then shut the windows and covered them with drapes.
"How is the house?" he asked. "Do you like everything?"
She come closer to him and gave him a loving kiss on the cheek.
"It is more than I could have asked for."
Aurum looked at his other half, the perfect partner, and the perfect partner in crime. He had been carefully orchestrating his plan for years and once he fell in love with Flee, he knew she would be the key to his plan. He caressed her cheek and pushed the stray strand behind her ear.
"It would have all worked out, but he is a problem," he whispered. "They believe in him, say he is not like his father."

Willow stepped out of the shower and wore the same black clothes that had become like a uniform to her. After drying her hair, she tied it into a high ponytail and left her room. She walked down the dark hallway. Only dim lamps were allowed in the building and those lamps were placed in all the rooms. The only well-lit area was the basement. Willow and Luke stood in his apartment in front of the guest bedroom door in anticipation. She had performed the spell, however, given her lack of experience, she was nervous to open the door. "Do you want me to do it?" Luke asked. "No," she said firmly before twisting the knob. She pushed it open and they were greeted with the sight of a spare room that had junk stored in it.
