Chapter 38: Another Puzzle Piece

I groaned as I tried to stretch out my sore shoulder.

Vicki had just got done throwing me to the ground. Ever since our meeting in the hall she had seemed to be doing everything in her power to make my life miserable.

"Is this what all the wolves from the Western Pack are like?" Vicki asked, stepping over me. "If so, no wonder why you guys are so pathetically small."

Despite knowing that she was saying this to get a rise out of me, I couldn't help the anger that began to burn up my chest.

Why had I even agreed to this in the first place? I didn't even have a wolf, it was dumb for me to train with all of them…but that hadn't stopped me growing up, and I didn't want it to stop me now.

Plus, if I was being honest, I wanted to prove myself a little, all while keeping an eye on Vicki.
