Chapter 11
Ashley’s POV
“Fuck.” I curse under my breath as I struggle walking down the stairs. My head hurts and the pills doesn’t seem to help my case. It’s been a day since Trent had left for his business trip and I am really grateful for the timing—and maybe a bit worried too. I am alone in the house for two days—and two nights, since he’s planning to come home in the morning.
I have not been feeling well since the time I fell down while cooking. I think it’s the universe way of telling me that my time is almost up.
Man, being in a dying meat suit sucks. I haven’t even gotten to writing everything in my bucket list.
With that thought clouding my mind, I sat down and looked
Chapter 12“Anyway, how was living with your pig of a house mate?”“I told you already, Trent is a good house mate—a bit disorganized and messy but he’s a good person. He’s been nothing but a sweetheart, Phil. One day I’ll let you come over while he’s around.” I said and the man just shrugged, running his hand all over his blonde locks.“Well, tell me if he’s bothering you.” Phil made a turn and headed for the highway with a small frown adorning his otherwise handsome face—not as handsome as the person I’m living with though, but you could say damn well that this guy is really good looking. “You should’ve just stayed with me, that way I can keep an eye on you and you get to live rent free.”“You know I can&
Chapter 13(Trent and Ashley—age 7.)“You got a boo-boo again.” Ashley said while inspecting the cut in his best friend’s face. It’s a common occurrence for the both of them come morning when they can play again in the day care center. As common as it is, it simply doesn’t make it okay—no matter how often it happens. His best friend doesn’t deserve it. “Did your ‘Da do this again?”“You know it’s always my Dad—I’m okay Ashey. Look, I got apples from mom again!” Trent cheerfully showed his lunch bag with apples, some pop tarts and a juice box.
Chapter 14What we see inside surprised us.Instead of the person we are expecting to see—either Ashley or that high ranking charge of his, we saw angels in their human forms. Three pretty low ranking angels inside the room.I am not disappointed. I thought to myself.Bullshit. I am definitely disappointed. We seem to have caught them off guard as they looked at us with worried wide eyes. Leviathan and I are pretty surprised too but if push comes to shove, I know we can both protect ourselves and dispose of these angels.“Who the fuck are you and why are you here?” Leviathan asked, crossing his arms, making him look more intimidating than usual—I could smell the angels’ fear reeking out of
Chapter 15Three years ago, I was in a car accident that left me in coma for a whole year. I don’t really know the whole story as I was asleep but Phil recalled it to me when I was in a stable condition. The doctor said it was a miracle that I’m still alive after hitting a ten wheeler truck, my car flipped twice before ending up in a ditch.Four of my ribs was broken and my body basically looked like I went on a shredder. My living chances was pretty much zero and I flat lined twice. It was definitely a miracle that I’m still alive.Phil said I already had problems with my memory even before the whole coma but during my stay at the hospital was when we found out about my progressive memory loss—they said it was Alzheimer&rs
Chapter 16Trent’s POV“Tell me where Ashley Wilson is.” I nonchalantly asked the blonde haired angel as I held him up the wall as if he weighs nothing. I am starting to get annoyed as these three are as loyal as a dog—they won’t open their mouth at all.“You don’t order me.” He spat out even with fear running in his veins. I placed my hand around his neck and looked at the other two angels.“Frey!” One of them—a brunette cried. “Please! Don’t hurt him. We are just here for cleaning up the place!” He said, holding the other blonde boy—a younger one close to him as if to protect him. I let the angel go and placed a barrier on the place, reinforcing Leviathan’s barri
Chapter 17“Who the heck is your Ashley and why did he need a seraphim to act as his charge?” Leviathan casually asked as he poured some water he got from the fridge.“He’s just a human—I’m sure of that, no wait.” I paused, looking back into the memories that we had together. “Ashley can see ghosts and the like—he can also see auras as far as I remember, that’s why nobody hangs out with him.”“Except you.” Lev pointed out.“Yeah, fuck you. He ain’t lame.” I gave him the finger.“So he’s just a normal kid who can see f
Chapter 18(Third person’s POV)Hell wasn’t as what you have imagined it, oh no. Hell was something no one from the mortal realm had ever began to picture. It wasn’t as Dante Alighieri’s circles of hell—no rivers of fire nor eternal wailing of damned souled—okay maybe there is but it’s on the outskirts of the main city. But what’s clear is that Hell is rather…pleasant. After all, it is one of the underworld’s melting pot where people traded, sold, marketed and made home. Supernatural creatures that is—a couple of mortals but it’s quite sure they’re mixed blood or someone special. By I mean special, those who had sold their souls and became personal assets of certain demons.“
Chapter 19Ashley’s POV“You’re fine alone? Are you sure?” Phil asked and I nodded my head in confirmation. I mean, after that dream I suddenly had a bout of energy. I don’t know where that came from but I’m suddenly energized. I guess I should take it easy but I feel like I’m a bit better. That’s weird but whatever, everything is weird around me. I’m in a decaying meat suit with a brain that’s going livin la vida loca haywire on me.“I’m fine Phil—really. I’ll just finish up a few of my lesson plans, have coffee and dinner then go to bed. Sorry for worrying you—I really had no idea what just happened.” I said and Phil patted my head, comforting me.“You know
EPILOGUE Lux’s POV It was nice and peaceful. Looking at the aurora borealis for the second time to celebrate the prophecy of our children is beautiful. Crocell looks at me with a smile before taking and kissing the back of my hand, muttering thank you every now and then. It had been five months since we undid the curse. It was a bittersweet moment as I took the first breath of life with confidence that it won’t be the last so soon. And as I took that sweet breath, Camael took his last. And I have never thanked anyone this hard. He sacrificed his life for me. He did it so we can live. It wasn’t his obligation to do so as I have later on realized that even though he saw how father cursed me, it wasn’t his obligation to tell me, tell us nor help us in anything. Camael was a casualty. An innocent sacrifice so that we can live happily and I will live the rest of my immortal life thanking him for it. The sou
Chapter 65 Third person’s POV The moon hung over the sky like a diamond. The illumination that it casted over the mountain provided a serene comfort to the couple that had waited for this very moment. It’s about time their suffering cease and this curse ends. “I love you.” The angel whispered, dressed in beautiful chiton with his wings clearly shown in his back. The bump in his front is already showing promise of a healthy pregnancy and for that, the couple is thankful. They just need to survive. “I love you too.” Crocell whispered back, holding his husband by his waist and kissing him lovingly on the lips. Time had never changed his love for the angel and if it did in a way, it would’ve been the increasing intensity of what he feels for the other as time passes by. “Are you ready?” Hades asked as he walked in on the couple who are currently hugging each other. Lux smiled as nodded. “I’
Chapter 64 Crocell’s POV 2 weeks countdown. The process of undoing a curse is a lot simpler than what we anticipated. There was materials gathered and there was a certain shit that needs to be done at the right time and the right place or else it won’t work. I was an idiot thinking it would be relatively easy especially when I am doing the whole process of preparation with a very hormonal, very pregnant angel. “For the third time, I am gonna ask you,” I looked at my angel and breathed out. “We’re you crying because I ate nachos and you smelled it on my breath?” A pillow came hurling my way and I ducked before it hit me in the face. Wrong move. I should’ve just shut my mouth up and let myself get hit by the pillow because now my husband is sobbing ugly sobs because he can’t hit me and he also can’t follow me ‘cause his feet hurts and he doesn’t wanna waddle with the growing bump in his
Chapter 63 I want to cut the tie that threads you to your father and reintroduce you to the thread of the source. “I beg your pardon?” I asked with a confused face. Did I hear that right? Cutting my ties? Experimenting with my children? This is a lot more than what I had expected. “I mean what I said.” Hades says with a serious face, completely devoid of any emotions that would give away his intent. “I need your consent on this. You’re the personification of light, the Source’s light and you are hindered by your connection with your father.” He explained which made my brows furrow. This is risky. “Have you not realize that I am pregnant? This is too much risk! We could hurt the babies. And experimenting?! My children are not cattle that you can easily poke and probe.” I turned towards the teapot that’s currently coming to a rolling boil, breathing in and out to calm myself. I focused on that for a moment before turning back t
Chapter 62Third Person’s POVChildren does things that are rather childish. It’s a given. They are after all, kids. They often misbehave or purposely anger their parents just to get their attention at times. But there are stuff that goes too far and needs intervention.Yaweh is just a simple God. He loves his creation and his children, his angels that are his sons and daughter and there is no exception to that. But at the same time, Yaweh also wants his children to stay in the right path—his path, the one that he carved out of solid stones. The one that will not sway them from temptations. He is also the kind of person who would choose the safety and the security of the many. In the moral dilemma situation, he would have a clear answer without even batting an eyelash.Lucifer was an example. He was growing in power and was starting to see beyond the walls of the pat
Chapter 61Third person POVAn audience with Lucifer himself is a bit hard to set. You need to go through various processes with few lower ranks under his household. The waiting line is long seeing as all of major affairs in hell needs to go through Lucifer and not just the seven high ranking demons. When the council members are the ruler, Lucifer is the law himself.“Lord Beelzebub. Greetings.” A low ranking demon appeared as the couple landed in front of the domineering castle that Lucifer calls his humble abode. “And greetings to you as well, Lord Leviathan. I hope you don’t find the obstacles bothering.”“We didn’t, Feldspar. We are here to have an audience with Lord Lucifer.” Leviathan easily stated and the ram horned demon stopped in his tracks.“Lord Lucifer isn’t in hell at the moment—““Save the lies for lesser demons, I c
Chapter 60 “I am the key.” The words resounded like a pin dropping on the serene marbled floor. It broke the silence. I didn’t know what to feel when I heard Camael uttered those four words. Surprise? Anger? Happiness? Relief? I don’t know. What I know is that I feel as if a thorn was plucked from my heart, freeing me from the constant worry of looking for the key without any clue on who they we’re. “The key? W-what do you mean?” My husband asked as he gripped my hand, hard. I read his face as if it had hope yet it spelled betrayal all the same. His face looks hopeful, yet devastated at the same time and I understand how he feels. “I’m sorry Lux. Forgive me, I wasn’t strong enough nor selfless enough.” Camael’s voice cracked as Metatron held him close, afraid of how our reactions would be. It was pretty clear to everyone who knew us that we are looking for the key as per the scriptures—why woul
Chapter 59The ceremony was simple. The small garden in the back of the mansion that served as my office and home to my servants had been the venue. It was really simple with my father officiating the whole thing. Lux is dressed in white, his traditional robes as an angel and I was in my demon form. We found out that his stomach is really getting quiet big just a month into the pregnancy as what the healer had said. There is a noticeable bump in his abdomen that made me swoon.Of course, Lux is happy so I’m happy.“I love you.” Lux whispered with a giggle as he was handed a plate of cake.“You just love me because I got you your coconut custom cake.” I replied and the angel giggled again as he happily devoured his second slice. This is the first time I saw him eat without puking so I’ll get him all the cake he wants.“This is superb, Love. This is the first time I felt full—you kid is
Chapter 58A/N: We will be switching a lot of POV’s so hang in there. XDLux’s POVCrocell and I had been in a lifetime where he was born as a really sickly vampire born in New York City to two poor vampires who are barely making ends meet. I was born in a rich family but I have with Dravet Syndrome and was staying at a hospital, living as a miracle for the whole 17 years of my life.We met for a week when he snuck into the hospital for blood bags.By all means, we shouldn’t have fallen in lo
