Chapter 1240

Before Penelope could react, the bodyguards who were supposed to follow her orders heeded Simon's command and grabbed onto her. They then took Bonnie from her hands.

"You guys... You’re all traitors! How dare you betray me?!" Penelope was shocked and chided in annoyance.

She wanted to snatch Bonnie back but her efforts were to no avail. Bonnie was already being escorted over by the bodyguards, and that was what angered her the most.

She glared at Simon and questioned in disbelief, "When did you bribe them?" They were her bodyguards. They should not have been easily bought over!

A bodyguard carried Bonnie over to Simon. He held the little one and carefully checked her condition to make sure she was okay.

"Look closely and tell me who they belong to?" It was only then that Simon spoke to remind her.

Penelope had not taken a close look at these bodyguards until now. Much to her surprise, they were not her bodyguards!

"That's right, they’re all my people. The ones you we
