“That’s why I’m asking you to do the test. We’re not lying to ourselves, we have to face this head-on!” He paused for a while and then continued, “Besides, Penelope was the one who did all of this. She might have even bribed your doctor.”

Sharon shuddered. Why had she not thought of this before?

Back then, it was Penelope who brought her men over to drag Sharon to have an abortion. Penelope caused the pain in her stomach that made her get sent to the emergency room. Sharon had no idea what happened after she passed out.

It was only after she woke up that she found out her daughter had not survived. She was in so much agony at the time that she never thought about what the doctor said. The doctor had said that she could have the baby, but why did he suddenly say that her daughter could not have been saved?
