I looked around in shock as my name was announced,I turned to Alpha Damien who was sitted close to Amelia and staring at me with contentment.
"Luther can't take on this responsibility all by himself" Lucy snapped.
"Someone else will join him" alpha Damien replied her.
She smiled immensely and took a bite from her food "Susan will join him in this" alpha Damien added,Lucy face turned pale instantly.
Immediately he called my name to take over the palace. In his absence I knew something was wrong somewhere.
"Why me?" I said and everyone turned to face me.
With shocked expressions and murmurs feeling the room I didn't know what to say or do I just sat quietly watching everyone.
"You will have to Luther" Alpha Damien replied,his voice firm.
"But I do not want to," I replied with an angry tone.
I walked out angrily and went straight to my room, turning deaf ears to Alpha Damien's calls as I exited the dining room.
"Why does he want me to take over?" I thought.
After the heated arguments we've been having for the past few days,I just knew I needed to talk him into changing his mind.
We finished dinner and I quickly followed him to explain why I'm not fit to take over things in the palace.
I want to focus on only one thing and that was Amelia.
He knows about all this, that is why he wants to keep me so busy with palace activities.
I walked back to my room as random thoughts filled my head.
I locked the door behind me and went straight to my bed.
Noone mattered more to me at this point in my life than Amelia.
Something is obviously wrong with her,she seems to be scared of something lately and I am one hundred percent sure that alpha Damien has everything to do with her sudden change of attitude.
Just then I heard a knock on the door,"Come in!" I said.
Two guards walked in and bowed their heads in respect.
"Alpha Damien wants to see you Sir Luther" one of the guards said.
"Go,I'll be there shortly" I replied.
I know Alpha Damien is not one to take no as an answer.
I walked straight to his room,his door was open, obviously he was expecting my arrival.
His arms crossed behind his back as he stared at the garden through his room window.
"You sent for me," I said, trying to be as calm as possible.
He turned slowly, staring at me from top to bottom,his hands still crossed behind his back.
"What was the meaning of that you displayed in the dining room?" He asked, his face red with anger.
"I wasn't being rude or anything,I simply gave you an answer" I replied.
"No is not an answer and you know that" Alpha Damien said.
"You don't get to decide what I'll do because I have spare time,I am not Amelia" I shouted.
"Why do you find peace in bringing Amelia into every little discussion we have together,leave her out of this!" Alpha Damien commanded.
"You will be in charge of the palace while I'm away for my trip" Alpha Damien said,his tone brooking no arguments.
"I thought you'd jump at the opportunity of being pack leader while I'm away but rather you refused my offer in front of everyone in the rudest way possible". Alpha Damien said,his voice stern.
"You will lead the pack alongside Susan while I'm away" alpha Damien commanded.
I wanted to shout but there's no point dragging the issue further,I simply nodded affirmatively and left his room.
I was so pissed and I terribly needed to get some bad energy off my system so I went to the training ground at the far end of the palace.
I got to the training center and headed straight for the gym.
I went into arm work out immediately, going up and down on the equipment standing tall above my head.
My mind drifted back to Amelia and how she has been acting lately and why she is so calm to me all of a sudden.
On a normal basis,she wouldn't hug me or let me get anywhere close to her.
"Probably she has started having feelings for me too,I see the way she gets lost staring at my eyes" I thought as I went in for the weights.
I could feel the sweat drip from my back.
It was so hot,the workout made everything so hot,I took off my shirt and continued the workout, not minding the heat pouring through my face.
I left the weight and wore the boxing gloves lying on the corner then stood in front of the big pinata.
I looked at it for a good number of minutes, imagining it was Alpha Damien.
I started punching it ruthlessly,I cursed it as though I was talking to Alpha Damien.
I hit it trying to let all my anger out,then I hugged it as a tear poured down my cheeks.
"Why does he have to be so mean to everyone?" I asked, staring at the pinata.
Amelia deserves better and I am "better" I needed to make her see it and believe it.
For all I know,she cares about me a whole lot,but she's finding it very difficult to trust me or anyone for that matter.
I totally understand how she feels towards me but she can't keep sucking it all in just to please this ruthless Alpha Damien.
I know he's responsible for her bruised arm and I will surely make him pay.
I needed a plan,a plan that'll give room for me and Amelia to confess how we truly feel about each other while dealing with alpha Damien how I see fit.
I walked up to the leg pressing and started using it,my mind racing.
"Ahhhhgg!" I screamed as my leg got caught between it.
I cried out in agony, writhing in pain,soon after some guards came to my rescue and I was rushed to the hospital.
