Chapter 44

Amelia's pov.

The growl was so powerful that I myself was shooked at it,I watched as guards that stood by and Luther stared at me in admiration.

Lucy's eyes were fixed on me in utter shock and fear but I didn't mind that as I made my way out of their sight and walked towards my room.

As i entered the room, I felt this happiness within my wolf.

But alongside the happiness came sadness,the sadness of everyone picking on me at every little chance the got.

I took a deep breath and walked towards my wardrobe.

I knew I needed to muster up courage, I needed to get strong not for anyone else but for my sake this time.

I couldn't keep up with the taunts,I couldn't hear the constant pain that I had to pass through every single day.

It felt as though the dawn of the new day brings nothing but drama and more drama.

I was picking up some dresses from the laundry when my hand hit the wardrobe door,I let out a groan.

The wrist was still hurting so badly.

Luther said he could help me so I went in search of him.

I knew he was likely to be in his room after that mind threatening argument I and Lucy just had.

I had to see him and probably we'll get to have a real conversation without prying eyes.

I noticed that not only Lucy is all up in my business but Alpha Damien managed to get the guards involved too.

I got to the door of his room and knocked gently.

After a moment I heard his voice telling me to enter,I opened the door and walked in.

He turned immediately and the moment he looked at me I felt my heart skip a beat.

Recently I'm so drawn to his eyes and how they make me feel is unmeasurable.

"Amelia?" Luther asked, staring at me in surprise.

He obviously didn't expect to see me out of my room after that hitted argument.

"My hands still hurt Luther,and I need your help" I said as I stared at his face.

I couldn't keep my eyes away from his,they looked so beautiful.

"Let me see it one more time" he said as he stepped close to where I stood.

He held my hands and brought them close to his lips as he kissed it slowly.

"I said heal me not feast on me" I said with a chuckle.

"Oh I'm sorry I'm no doctor but I know how to take certain pains away" he teased.

He got all flirty pulling me close to him as he took a hold of my hands and gently sucked on my wrist.

His lips were so soft and the way it felt on my skin sent shivers down my spine.

I didn't want the feeling to end at all.

"You feel better now" he said and raised his heads up.

"Yes I feel so good" I stammered.

Suddenly we heard a knock and I quickly hid myself at Luther's back in fear.

"Who is that?" He asked.

"Dinner is served sir!" A tiny feminine voice said.

"I'll be there in a minute" Luther responded.

"Hey" he said as he pulled me from where I stood at his back.

"What's wrong,why did you hide?" Luther asked staring at me.

"It's…it's nothing" I replied.

"You still haven't told me what happened when Alpha Damien took you away when we were in the garden, you've changed ever since" he said staring at me.

"It's nothing" I reassured him.

"Look at me Amelia" he said and gently placed his hands on my jaw and faced hit to his face.

"I got you, always..you don't have to be scared" he said with a smile across his lips.

I felt at peace on hearing what he said and I hugged him.

"Thank you" I said smiling at him.

We both walked out of the room and towards the dining room.

I removed my hands from his and I made sure he went into the dining first.

I walked in minutes later so Alpha Damien wouldn't suspect a thing.

The entire clan sat around the dining,it felt like a meeting than dinner.

I sat down close to Alpha Damien as expected.

"Pray for us Amelia" he asked staring at me affectionately.At first I was shocked at his sudden reaction towards me but I eventually gave in.

Soon after dinner was served and everyone was busy with their food,when Alpha Damien held my waist pushing my body close to him.

I was so uncomfortable with how he was touching me but to everyone I was his soon to be Luna so I smiled weirdly trying not to alert anyone.

He took some cream pudding from his plate and fed me,he was acting so romantic and loveable.

I could see Luther boiling in rage from where I sat.

He immediately stood up irritated by the scene being displayed on the dining.

"Sit down Luther,there is something I would love to talk to everyone about" Alpha Damien said.

Luther sat down staring at my direction angrily.

"I would be going on a trip and I would like for all of you to vote for who you want to be in charge of the pack activities while I'm away" Alpha Damien said.

I spoke up immediately "I believe Lucy should be in charge" my voice was steady.

"She has proved to be capable and she's the eldest bride,I believe she can handle this" I said.

"She is eldest doesn't mean she's the wisest,she knows nothing about leadership,her chambers is never in order let alone the whole pack" one of the brides added.

The brides words caused murmurs around the table and Lucy stood up in anger.

"You better watch it!" She shouted.

Alpha Damien looked from Lucy to everyone in a slow motion studying the arguments diligently.

"Quiet!" He ordered and everywhere was silent instantly.

"I appreciate everyone's opinions but I think Luther should be in charge" he declared.

Luther's eyes widened in surprise.
