116. Bitterness and frustration!

Chapter 116

Isla’s POV

I watched everything unfold before my eyes. The way Dario signaled the men to stop talking immediately he noticed my eyes were on him. He ushered them inside informing me that he would be back soon.

I picked up my steps walking to the car.

“I can’t believe he’s hiding whatever is happening from me.” I said to Nima. “This is so annoying.”

“Maybe he’s trying to protect you.”

“Protect me?” I scoffed. “The fact that he’s keeping it from me makes it worse.”

“Maybe he’s going to tell you about it later, he just wants to work on it first.” Nima was doing her best to assure me but it wasn’t working.

I didn’t want to hear any more words from her so I blocked her out, when I was close to the car sounds of footsteps collided with my ears. I thought it was Dario, but I was made aware that it wasn’t after I heard a familiar squeal I knew so well.

“Isla! You’re back!” I turned around quickly, and there was Diane running in my direction. She appeared so happy with a bright sm
