120. Finding Solace...

Isla’s POV

My eyes which were fixed on Dario watching him drive away, flickered in the opposite direction once I could no longer see his car.

I picked up my steps, and at each step I took my eyes roamed through the premises. It felt weird to be back here, as I remembered what happened when I had left, I was transported to that moment but the minute my feet crossed the entrance of the door I was back to reality.

I was so focused on balancing my latte in my hands that I was unaware of the person coming down from the staircase. It was the sounds of grunts and muffled curses that made me pull my head up.

I was shocked to see Brenda, with her bags in her hands. She was dragging them down the stairs and she didn’t have a delightful look on her face.

I observed as Brenda struggled with the weight of her bags. My eyes, filled with an emotions, followed Brenda's every movement.

Brenda, who was unaware of my presence, continued to wrestle with the bags, her brow furrowed in concentration. I
