Hayden’s POV

I was already near Addison's bed, seeing that she had started to wake up and was trying to open her eyes. Addison's eyes blinked and then opened completely. Meanwhile, Shofia was checking Addison's condition after she regained consciousness, just in case there was something fatal.

At first, Addison seemed to have trouble recognizing us. She looked like she was struggling to see the people around her. "Shof?" I called Shofia to ask about Addison's condition.

"It's okay. It's just the effects of the fainting," Shofia said quietly, explaining Addison's current condition. Then Shofia raised her voice again, this time to Addison. "Addison, can you hear me?" asked Shofia, who again held Addison's hand.

"Shofia? Is that you?" Addison asked hesitantly with a voice that still sounded weak.

I turned to Shofia, who nodded and smiled at Addison. Then, I turned back to Addison, who was looking at me.
