Chapter 05: The trio

Flora sprawled on the bed, her eyes closed, feeling too lazy to get up. She wished she had nowhere to go that day, she has a fashion shoot with her two friends Daisy and Kimora. She turned immediately she hear her phone buzz and rolled her eyes immediately she saw it was from Gregor. She has been ignoring his calls and texts and doesn’t want to talk to him. She’s definitely going to talk to him but not now, she wants him to feel hurt the way he made her feel.

She was still thinking about it when her door suddenly opened revealing Daisy.

“Holy molly! Kimora, what did I tell you? She’s still lying down!” Daisy yelled her eyes wide open.

“What!! Oh my gosh! Is she okay?” Kimora asked as she climbed the stairs as fast as possible

“She is definitely fine, just wondering why she is not yet ready” Daisy replied facing Flora with her arms folded.

“Girls, calm down, I guess I woke up from the wrong side of the bed today. I’m so tired” Flora said yawning.

“Miss tired, we have a photo shoot by twelve o’clock, and this is ten thirty” Kimora said showing the time displayed on her phone screen.

“Omg! I thought it was eight something….” Flora said ruffling her hair.

“Flora the thinker, we are gonna be late if you are not fast enough…..” Daisy said

“Just get into the bathroom already, and please be fast about it” Kimora cut in

Flora hurriedly went into the bathroom and shut the door. Daisy and Kimora went downstairs to the living room scrolling through their phones while eating a plate filled with cookies in front of them.

In the world of fashion, Flora is surrounded by her friends Daisy and Kimora. They’re top models, they are stunning with their different personalities and unique styles. They all turn heads wherever they went, they are adventurous: always trying out new things.

Daisy was much like Flora in that she is unafraid to speak her mind and confidence, apart from that she is also rude and arrogant just like Flora. Kimora is the more reserved one among them, she is respectful, an attentive listener, and loves to observe. She offers words of wisdom and encouragement when needed. Despite their differences they have built trust and respect one another.

Flora and Daisy are life of the party and practically noise makers while Kimora literally hates noise, so she hardly goes to parties or places with loud noises. She always remind them to be professional and respectful to others in the industry.

They are a force to be reckoned with whether they are walking down the runway, or gracing the covers of fashion magazines. They formed a powerful trio together with their peculiar energy and styles.

After about 20 minutes, flora came out of the bathroom with a white towel wrapped around her. Her hair was still wet and she was trying to dry it with a hand dryer- walking to her closet to get the cloths she would be wearing to the shoot. She scanned her eyes around looking for the perfect outfit to wear. She finally settled for a two piece set of jogger pants and a crop top, she picked out a white sneakers and a black handbag before heading back to the room. She placed them on the bed and went to the table where her skin care products are for her skin routine. She rushed back to the closet and picked a matching pant and bra, it took her about 20 minutes to get ready.

“Gosh!! It’s already eleven twenty-five” Kimora said looking at her phone screen

“And? Why are you so worried? Daisy asked as she took a bite of the cookie

“What do you mean by that? We are supposed to be there by now” Kimora said looking at Daisy

“Girls I’m ready” Flora said as she ascend the stairs interrupting them

“What took you so long? We are already late, we have less than thirty minutes for our shoot” Cried Kimora concernly

“Tsk tsk, they will wait for us, so don’t bother yourself…..” Flora said

“Girls this is not professional and also not ethical” Do I have to remind you two every time?” Kimora cut in as she placed her hands on her hips, looking from Flora to Daisy who seemed not to care or listen to her.

“We will simply render an apology when we get there, right Flora?” Daisy asked laughing

“Yeah, the shoot cannot start without the models, you know…..” Flora replied and winked at Daisy

“I’m so disappointed at you girls, what do you think the junior and aspiring models who look up to us would think of us? Top models that doesn’t keep to time, so unprofessional and ……”

“Jeez!! We are leaving already” Flora said rolling her eyes as she walked towards the door

“Are you ever going to get tired of preaching? I have told you severally to start a church” Daisy said throwing her hands up in the air

“I will never stop telling you two to do the right thing, just know that” Kimora chipped in

They all made their way outside, they entered Daisy’s car and Daisy drove off. They got to the shooting place together mostly if it requires three of them to be there, Daisy picked up Kimora earlier on before driving down to Flora’s. Kimora sighed as Flora and Daisy kept laughing.

“Hmph, just few minutes to the shoot and these bitches are yet to be seen” Larisa groaned looking at the door as people made their way in and out

“Bitches? Hope Kimora is not included? She’s much better than them” Ava halted immediately and asked

“Whenever I call them names just know it is for Daisy and Flora” Larisa replied as she chew on her gum quietly

“I am not always excited whenever I have to work with them” Larisa added almost lost in thought but Ava’s question jolted her out of it.

“Would you ever forget that incident?”

“I don’t think so, but what goes around would surely come around” Larisa replied, her mood suddenly turned into a sad one as she remembers what transpired between her ex-lover and Daisy.

“Well, try not to think too much, you need to be in your best mood for this shoot. Come here” Ava quickly pulled her into a hug. After a short while they disengaged

“Here comes the trio!!” Someone announced and they both turned looking at the entrance
