As Camilla spoke, she snapped the computer shut and effortlessly pulled Declan to his feet. She rifled through his pockets, retrieving his phone.

Once she stuffed the phone into her pocket, she waved for the security guards to come in. Without a second glance at Declan, still standing there in shock, she issued her orders.

"Remember this face. Whenever you see her, throw her out. Don't let her set foot in the company. If I find out she's been here, I'll fire all of you," she added, her voice cold.

The guards exchanged wary glances before quickly seizing Declan and dragging him out.

It wasn't until he was halfway out the door that Declan seemed to realize what was happening. Clutching the doorframe, he called back, shouting, "I'll give you the password! I'll help pay off the debts!"

Camilla, however, didn't even bother to look at him. Using Declan's fingerprint, she unlocked his phone.

With no money to his name, Declan couldn't afford a hot meal. All he could do was wander outside restaurants, hoping to scavenge leftovers from the tables of others. In stark contrast, Camilla was living a completely different life with Declan's phone in her hand. The money in his account and on his cards was more than enough, and with access to the company's finance department, she could even get reimbursed for her personal expenses. Her life was nothing short of luxurious. She stayed in the finest hotels, dined at the best restaurants, and bought whatever bags she liked, one after another. By the time I returned from my five-day trip, Camilla had already started carrying herself like she was someone important, looking down on everyone, including me. When I showed up at the office, she couldn't even be bothered to hide her disdain and openly mocked me."'There's the woman who couldn't keep a man. I thought you might have jumped off a building in despair. But look at you, still

Camilla, still slapping her own face, froze for a moment, staring at me with confusion.Declan, who had been listening, immediately panicked."No! I can't stand this any longer! I can't live like this for even another minute! Come on, hurry up and switch me back now—no waiting for 30 days!"I ignored him and kept my eyes on Camilla."I will switch you back, and I will divorce him," I said calmly. "But you need to think carefully. What's the best way to protect yourself right now? You're not stupid, so think about it. Take your time."As Declan, still processing what was happening, began to retreat, Camilla's eyes suddenly lit up with realization. She looked at me, gave a slight smile, then turned to Declan. Her smile grew wider and more exaggerated by the second. Then, Camilla, with an almost mocking tone, said the words I'd been leading her to."Before you switch me back, I want a divorce. I won't take a single penny!" Declan stood there, stunned, as it hit him: I had mean

"I'm already divorced from your son, and this is his new girlfriend. If you're looking for someone, go find her."Declan didn't expect me to be so blunt, and his face immediately darkened as he trailed behind his parents."We can handle our own business, can't we? Why do you have to drag my parents into this? Is this really necessary?" he snapped, crossing his arms and blocking the door.I smiled back at him, unfazed. "If we were really going to handle things ourselves, why did you let your parents bring you back here?" I raised an eyebrow. "Your thoughts are so transparent, and your tricks are laughably amateur. I'm honestly embarrassed for you!"Declan's face flushed red, and he opened his mouth to argue, but his father, who had understood the situation, quickly cut him off with a swift kick."You little punk. You had everything going for you and still cheated on Louisa! I can't believe I raised a lying jerk! All those years of schooling, and this is what you've learned?" De

The night of my mother's birthday, we had planned to celebrate together, but my husband disappeared. I couldn't reach him by phone, so I called his office. His assistant told me he had left early that afternoon.Just when I was wondering if something urgent had come up, his social media feed updated with a post.[Late but well worth the wait. I've been waiting for this moment for so long. From now on, I'll never let go.] The photo showed my husband, Declan Specter, holding a woman's hand—clearly female, though I didn't recognize her. What caught my eye, however, was the bare finger on his left hand. It was missing the wedding ring I had so carefully chosen for him.On our wedding day, as I placed that ring on his finger, he had promised me he would wear it forever. What a joke! It had only been two years, and his "forever" had ended already. Clenching my teeth, I left a comment on his post.[I thought you were dead when I couldn't get ahold of you. Turns out you're still a

She fell to the ground, scrambling to get back up. She seemed ready to strike again, but after glaring at me for a moment, she suddenly started laughing."Well, I guess there's no point in arguing with someone like you, who can't even keep her own husband," she sneered. "If you know you can't compete with me, you should step aside and know your place. The person who isn't loved is considered the third wheel!"I smiled faintly."The more someone lacks something, the more they flaunt it. You stressing that you're not a third wheel really proves that point." I shot her a sharp look. "Are you really that sensitive about being the mistress? You've already done something so disgraceful, and yet you feel ashamed about it?"Her sarcasm didn't affect me. Instead, my words hit her hard, and I could see her face flush with anger."I'm not a mistress!" she snapped. "We're together because we love each other! You're the one who's messing things up—you're the third wheel here!"I gave her a di

Of course, he couldn't get through.By then, I had already boarded the plane with my mother, ready to take a trip and clear my mind.Unable to reach me, Declan hung up the phone, looking toward Camilla with a defeated expression."There's nothing more we can do. Before I even boarded the plane, I'd made sure to ask my secretary to organize the company's revenue reports. As soon as they entered the office, Camilla was handed the reports. It didn't take much to see through her—she was only sticking close to Declan for the money. Well, I decided to let her see how much she could "control".Just as I expected, Camilla's eyes widened as she looked at the numbers on the report. She ran her fingers over the figures,

But at this moment, there was nothing about her demeanor that conveyed even a hint of vulnerability.Declan didn't let her off the hook. His voice was low and demanding as he pressed her, bringing up what had happened earlier that morning."Didn't you say you'd be open with me? That you wouldn't hide anything? Then why were you clutching your phone this morning?"Camilla hesitated, trying to keep up the facade, but under Declan's relentless questioning, she could only admit she hadn't been seeing anyone else behind his back.Reluctantly, she handed over her phone. Declan stared at the screen filled with urgent payment notices, and even I was taken aback. But to my shock, the total was nearly 2 million, almost half of the entire company's cash flow.Once she confessed, Camilla, no longer anxious, looked at Declan with a new gleam in her eyes.
