CHAPTER 108: NAVIGATING ACADS

For the past few weeks, my academic performance has been excellent. I hope I haven't made any mistakes lately.

I really don't need any more baggage to weigh me down, especially not as we've already hit the dreaded third semester mark on grade reports.

Sighing, I pick up the messages again.

Mr. Everhart: "Look, this is a significant issue. We won't discuss our personal affairs with you, but you must reply."

I sigh and hit send on a brief message.

Me: "I'm sorry, but I've been preoccupied with family issues."

I carefully consider what to write, going over and adding to the text as I go.

Me: "I'm sorry; I've been preoccupied with family issues. I still remember our tutoring session. What's not right?"

I hear two more notification rings on my phone as I'm tying up my hair.

Mr. Montgomery: "I would like to inform you that the pre-study guide packet you submitted for the final exam was not complete. It counts toward the final 80% of your grade. You would go from a B- to a D- as a result
