Chapter 24

It’s like any other ordinary day. Amanda gets up early and has a quick bath underneath the shower. She would want to relax in the bathtub but that can wait until the weekend. She still needs to prepare breakfast as Alma will be here anytime soon.

Everyday as she saw herself naked in the mirror, Amanda would always caress the bump in her belly. She’d been a few weeks pregnant, approaching her second month. And she couldn’t be more happier knowing that the baby inside of her was growing strong and healthy.

As her doctor advised, she never let herself get stressed. She always sleeps on time, and not less than eight hours of rest. She always included fresh fruits and vegetables to her diet. And stock of milk was always replenished every week so as to not get run out in the groceries.

Morning sickness finally subsides, thankfully. But Amanda would crave the impossible food from time to time. If she can’t find it online to be delivered at her doorstep within the day, she’ll ask her best fri
