Chapter 71

The young girl, Hazel Rowse, nodded affirmatively and revealed, "Before you became the principal, I was abducted. Those evil men showed us your photo, speaking ill of you. We all understood they resented you because you stood against them and you're a kind person."

This revelation caused Ember deep emotional pain. She had not expected the girl she had randomly saved to be one of the missing students she was searching for.

She asked gently, "Hazel, what can you share about what you went through?"

Memories of her traumatic experiences caused Hazel to shudder, and her eyes welled up with tears.
