Chapter 62: Receiving a letter

"Clock, clock." The conversation between Miren and Dylan was cut short when they heard a knock on the door from the outside.

"Master, are you conscious at this hour? I have something very significant to discuss with you." Butler Kin spoke up, her voice was a bit urgent.

Dylan cocked his head to the side and cast his gaze down toward the spacious courtyard below. Instantaneously, the brightness that had been present in his eyes and the cheerfulness that had been present vanished.

Dylan was feeling down, but Miren's gentle touch on his shoulder helped him feel better. She is attuned to the shifts in his feelings and can respond appropriately. Even though Miren was unable to see as far as Dylan, she had a sneaking suspicion that Kin's eagerness to meet her and Dylan was connected in some way to the royal family.

Miren smiled tenderly as her gentle hand gently touched Dylan's hand, and she did so with a thoughtful expression on her face. Miren asked.

“Dylan, have the royals reappeared?”
