Mariette P.O.V
I walked into the house, still completely pissed off by what just happened in the forest. I had so many questions running through my head that still remained completely unanswered to me. I didn't know what to think of the entire situation. I only knew two things that were certain to me - The three of them weren't humans, and nor were they vampires. If they were vampires, I would have picked up on it immediately, and they didn't have the same scent that humans had. So, the question still remained to me, what species were they?
I ran up to my room to quickly take a shower before I had to head on out to school. I knew that if I didn't hurry, I would likely miss breakfast and hell have mercy on me if I missed breakfast. The rule in the house was always that if I missed breakfast, I would most definitely not be able to take lunch to school. No breakfast always meant no lunch. Apparently, that was some sort of way for my father to discipline me. I shook my head as the warm steam of the shower brought me back to reality. I got in under the warm jets, allowing the warm water to cascade down my shoulders.
I had no idea whether I should ask my parents about them. Did my parents even know that there were other supernaturals beside us? Were the myths and tales about werewolves, warlocks, and witches, not myths, but reality? I didn't even know if I would likely place their lives in danger if I had asked my parents about them. Surely, there were reasons why we were told that we were the only supernaturals still alive. I quickly finished up in the shower and got dressed for school, just in time to hear my mother call out that breakfast was ready. I quickly got my school bag and ran downstairs. I threw my schoolbag on the couch before heading over to the kitchen.
I knew I would most likely suffer the bombardment of questions by my mother about my destined. I have been dodging her for way too long and I knew that I wouldn't be able to keep this up for any longer. I sat down just in time as my mother placed my plate filled with breakfast down in front of me. I smiled up at her before I picked up my fork and started eating away. There was an awkward silence in the kitchen, telling me that my mother and father most likely had another fight. They always fought and I didn't have any idea why they were still together if the fought all the time.
I sat there, picking at my food, lost in thought as the silence made my mind go wild. Ever since I met them, I have been wondering about the existence of other supernatural species in the world. The idea had been gnawing at me non-stop, and I couldn't shake it off. I looked up at my parents, who were eating their meal in awkward silence, and took a deep breath. It was time to ask the question that had been on my mind for so long.
"Mom, Dad, can I ask you something?" I said, my voice barely above a whisper. I b rought my eyes up as I stared back at my parents. My parents looked up at me, their expressions curious, yet a little worried. "Of course, sweetheard," my mother said, placing her fork down on the plate and putting her hand on mine. I gave her a small smile. "What is it?" my father asked, trying to get down to the point.
I took a deep breath before continuing, mentally preparing myself for what was about to come and what answers I would receive. For a split second, I contemplated on not asking them, I didn't know what the consequences of my question would be. "Are there other supernatural species out there, like us? I know what we have been told all our lives, but I need to know for sure ... are there any supernaturals out there?" I asked, not even noticing that I have been holding my breath. My parents exchanged a knowing look, and my father let out a deep sigh.
"Yes ... there are other supernatural species out there" said, his voice serious, but the look in his eyes screamed that he was worried about the treason behind me asking this question. "But why do you ask?" my father asked me. I looked between him and my mother, fully knowing that I was likely giving away the fact that I met my destineds, and the fact that there were other supernaturals in my life. I knew that it would worry my parents and I didn't want them to feel like I was in some sort of danger. No ... Mariette, rather keep this little piece of information to yourself! I repeated in my head, trying to convince myself. If I believed it, it would sound a bit more convincing when I told my parents.
"I've just been curious," I said, trying to sound nonchalant, tucking a stray strand of hair behind my ear. "I mean, we're not the only ones, right?" I said, trying to mask up my nervousness. My parents exchanged another look, and my mother spoke up this time. "No, we're not the only ones," she said, her voice gentle. It looked like she started to believe what I was telling them. Good, at least I knew now that there are others out there and that I needed to do my homework to try and figure out what they were. "There are others out there, like werewolves, witches, and even demons." my father said before placing his knife and fork down on the plate.
I could tell the entire conversation was starting to make him even more uncomfortable. This was likely not a topic that he wanted to talk about and I could definitely tell. "Now, are your things ready for school? I will take you in today, you dont have to worry about taking the bus. I have some things to settle at the town hall anyway" my father said, dismissing the conversations. I looked over at my mother, trying to figure out why my father was acting the way that he was. There had to be a reason behind all of this. My mother just shook her head and gave me a look that said: "Shut up and do as you are told or else your father would likely freak out".
I just sighed and placed down my fork even though I knew that I was still super hungry. I gave my mom a kiss on the cheek before walking over to the couch to get my school bag. "Oh, honey! When you come home from school, we're going to the mall! You still need to tell me about your destined!" my mother shouted from the kitchen.
Oh, goddess please have mercy on me!!
Mariette P.O.VFull lips ... three sets of lips committing each and every inch of my body to memory ... making it impossible for me to think clearly, making me feel things I never really knew were possible. How on earth could they even make me feel like this? "What's keeping that beautiful little mind of yours occupied, hmmm?" he asked, his voice husky and rough as he kissed my neck, blowing small breaths across my ear.Their small actions they did. Every touch they made to my body, sent goosebumps all over. I couldn't understand how they were getting this right. They were making me feel things I have never felt before. I looked up into his icy blue eyes, getting lost in them, loosing all my sense of reality and rationality as the words started to struggle to leave my mouth. They made sure that I was completely rendered speechless, unable to even utter a word from my mouth.Soon, the other one started to suck and nibble on an 'oh so sweet' spot on my neck, making me gasp for air as my
Aries P.O.VI had to admit that I was honestly shocked that Mariette got into the SUV with us. I knew that we were taking a big risk in doing this. I knew that there was a chance that she would give us the boot for tracking her down to her school and trying to convince her to skip the rest of the day and hang out with us. I couldn't stop myself from glancing back in the rear view mirror. Her beauty completely had me hypnotised. There was something about her, something so rare ... almost like a sort of gemstone. She reminded me so much of my mother. Maybe that was the reason why I felt so comfortable around her, she was the spitting image of my mother when it came to her personality. I loved rubbing her up the wrong way and seeing her feisty side. The moment Mariette caught me looking at her in the rear-view mirror, she made a face before giving me the death glare. Her death glare seemed to have been one of her favorite things to give me. I just snickered, causing Allec, who sat next t
Mariette P.O.V:"Just stay calm, Mariette! I am sure they will likely get us out of here in no time!" Aries said to me. I just looked over at him, feeling the faint headache that was on its way from hanging upside down for 5 minutes already. I just squinted my eyes at him. "You know ... I really am not freaking out at the moment ... right?" I said to Aries. I couldn't help but not want to laugh at his face. His face was all red with the blood that was gushing to his brain. "I think you should rather be the one who needs to stay calm! Looks like your face is undergoing some ... discoloration, I think?" I mocked him. I could see him narrowing his eyes at me before shaking his head and looking the other way.It felt like forever until the maintenance team finally managed to get us back down to the ground. It looked like the triplets had been turned inside out and rushed through the washing machine. "How ... on ... earth ... are you managing to still be able to stand up straight?" Allec a
Mariette P.O.V:"How on earth could you have just gotten into the car with three strangers? Mariette! I thought your mother and I had done a better job at raising you. You are not to talk to strangers! Humans are understandable! But ... but werewolves! You have got to be kidding me!! Zenia!" my father ranted on before calling my mother. I knew that he was unhappy, but at least his little tiff managed to give me some sort of answer to my questions I needed to have.My mother came storming into my room and heaved a sigh of relief as soon as her eyes landed on me. She looked me up and down to see that I was still in one piece. "What is it? Roan?" my mother asked my father. She clearly managed to pick up on the foul mood that my father was in. "You deal with this! I seriously can't handle what had just happened!" my father dramatically shouted. I just hung my head in defeat before looking out of the window, trying to keep my tears at bay. I sighed as my mother and father started to argue.
Allec P.O.VI couldn't even start to imagine what had happened back at Mariette's house. Her father did look a bit familiar to me but I had no idea where to place him. Poor Alex struggled with his back the whole night long. I suggested that he rather go to the pack hospital to have it checked out. We haven't had an encounter with a vampire in such a long time and Mariette's father had managed to throw Alex with quite some force."How are you feeling now, hmmm, love?" Rikka said to Alex. I almost threw up right there in my mouth by her actions and I was a little pissed off with Alex for not breaking things off with her ever since we met Mariette. I would have thought that the fact that he eventually met his mate about a year after we have come of age, he would be crazy for her, but clearly, he was keen to still keep Rikka around. She placed a cup of coffee right next to his bed as she got some cream and who knows what else to rub on Alex's back. "Allec,
Mariette P.O.V"Momma, can I ask you something?" I asked my mother as she still cradled me close to her chest and allowed me to let out all of my tears freely. "Sure you can, honey, what's going on in that little mind of yours?" my mother asked. I pulled a bit away from her, needing to sit up straight for a bit. I could feel a head ache start to arise from all the crying. I never even thought that I would have so many tears coming out of me."Why ... just please tell me why you and father don't want me to see the triplets again? What happened that was so bad? I just want to understand?" I said as I felt the tears start to rise up in my eyes again. I hated all of the secrecy that was going on. I knew deep down inside of me that there was more to this story than what my parents had let onto. My mother just sighed as she stood up and walked out of my room, leaving me alone with my thoughts. Mariette P.O.V I was still in so much shock by what my parents had told me. I was sitting on the balcony, overlooking the forest. I couldn't believe that it was true. The triplets seemed to be so gentle like it didn't even seem that they would be able to hurt a fly or something like that. I sighed as I stared deep into the forest, completely lost in thought. I knew that somewhere in that forest, the triplets were going about doing their thing. I couldn't understand that they could have been that vicious. They killed without reason and without having any mercy on my grandparents. I curled my legs up to my chest and rested my chin on them. I couldn't believe I managed to fall so hard and so quickly for them, without knowing how deadly they were. Before long, I felt the rays of the s
Mariette P.O.VI was born and raised like the normal vampire typically would. My parents raised me to know that we were the only supernaturals in the world. Werewolves, warlocks, and witches were just fairytales and the humans were the bad guys in the real world. That is what my world has been about, until about six months ago. Now ... now my knowledge of the world out there is completely unknown. Let me take you back.My name is Mariette Dermusk. If you haven't already noticed what I am. I am a vampire. A complete fool to believe everything my parents tell me. I was always raised to be the best in everything that came my way. I was always best in class when it came to my school work, I was always best in class during sports and I was always a daddy's girl, a "Goody two shoes" as my cousins would refer to. Whatever, they were just jealous since I beat them at literally everything.I was a good seventeen and eleven months old, and I would turn eighteen years old soon. Usually, at the a

Mariette P.O.V:I just stood there ... my back facing the three of them. I couldn't even start to imagine what to do. Nothing in my entire life could have prepared me for all of this. I was a complete stranger when it came to these things. Yes ... my mother always loved to tell me about how my future destined should treat me and of how the destined bond would work, but I had never in a million years imagined that I would have three destineds. "You know ... you can really turn around. We won't bite ... I promise! Unfortunately, we live quite far away so the request for getting some shirts on would be a bit impossible ..." I heard one of them say.Obviously, they would say something like that! I spun around on my heels and just looked at them. I narrowed my eyes at the one in front and I instantly knew that if it was that all of this would have to develop into a bond, he would be the one that I would manage to bud heads with the most. I sighed and placed both of my hands on my hips. "So
