2. Fangs

~Aliyah’s POV~

“Don’t worry, he is not mad,” Stella smiled as I sat on the couch, a heavy sigh came out of my mouth.

I was glad Carter was not home... At least now I can make all the necessary arrangements for his birthday with his mate that I thought last year.

Alex came running to me and hugged my knees, “Aunty!”

Seeing his chubby cheeks and twinkling big blue eyes, a huge smile appeared on my lips, and I kissed his cheek, “I missed you!”

“Missed too... Happy happy,” He said while clapping his hands with a big beautiful smile on his face.

“He gets excited on everyone’s birthday,” Stella laughed.

“I love his ‘Best Dad’ tee, Stella... He looks so cute,” I cooed at my eighteen-month-old nephew and hugged him tightly.

I love being around kids and their scents... Kids’ scent is to die for... I just love how fresh they always smell. Well, only when they have not popped.

Alex was the prettiest baby I have ever seen. Though he was a carbon copy of his handsome grandfather, he still had those beautiful big blue eyes of his mother and his father’s light brown hair. I feel like having a kid of my own whenever I look into his beautiful baby-blue eyes.

“Only if that was possible... Oh, that is... But the kid would be suffering just like you,” Ellen hissed in my brain.

This leech will never let me think about something good...

“What’s with that face? Did she say something?” Stella asked.

“She always does...” I rolled my eyes.

“Shut her out, and let’s prepare for the party! We have so much to do,” She excitedly said while grooving her body as if there was some music playing in the background.

I laughed. No matter how many years pass, Carter and she will never change. They have been together since childhood, and ever since they mated, they have become inseparable.

I wish I would meet my mate super soon and become one with him and my wolf for once and all.

“Aliyah, give Alex to me, and you both go and check on the preparation,” Aunt Anna said and took Alex from my arms.

I poked Alex’s nose for the last time and sighed. Time to start with the preparations.

I thought we had everything available at our place but to plan the big surprise, we had to rush to the mall in the city to get some items that Stella and I needed for the party.

We were done shopping and going back to our car, rolling our eyes. We were surrounded by five warriors of the Dark Moon pack. The whole time we looked like spoiled princesses who love to show off their father’s money by doing everything they can. Including walking around with bodyguards. We looked that stupid in my eyes.

A sound reached my ear, my legs stopped moving. The smell that had just reached my nostrils of one, two, no... There were many...

“We need to move fast...” I told Stella and picked my pace after grabbing her hand.

“What’s wrong?” She asked.

“Everything...” I whispered and nodded to the warriors walking by our side.

They also understood what was wrong...

“Oh, there is nothing wrong. This is my first time meeting the people I like. I won’t let the opportunity slip out of my hands,” Ellen voiced out in my head.

No... I can’t let her do what she wants. That would be insane.

I tried moving forward but Ellen was keen to go to the group of guys who were staring at Stella and me with vicious smirks on their faces. It felt like my legs were frozen, I couldn’t move.

“Aliyah, we have to leave... They are vampires...” Stella whispered.

“How? The sun is still up,” Elijah, one of our warriors said.

“Doesn’t matter. We need to leave... We are in the city,” Sébastien urged.

I know but I can’t freaking move! Lizzy and I had been trying to fight Ellen to take over my body but she had such a strong hold on my body right now that I couldn’t move.

A vampire with dark brown hair smirked, “Your place is with us...”

His smirk made me shiver while Ellen jumped in excitement.

“We don’t want any trouble... We are leaving,” Stella announced.

Once again, Stella tried to take me with her but... Oh god! I didn’t do that!

“Why the fuck did you hiss at Stella? We don’t show fangs to the family!” I yelled at Ellen.

“I won’t let her decide for me!” Ellen screeched loudly in my head.

“I’m sorry, Stella.”

I quickly apologized and turned to my warriors, telling them to do whatever it took to take me back. Even if the vampire in me tries to fight back.

Ellen fought, but it wasn’t easy for her to fight five werewolves. We were almost by the car when the vampires circled us. I couldn’t blink my eyes as quickly as the vampires who had already begun the fight.

Stella grabbed my hand but Ellen pushed her away and to my surprise, she stood beside the vampire who was smirking at me the whole time.

“We are leaving with him,” Ellen smirked in my head.

“No, we are not!” Lizzy and I growled.

“You will be mine after a few minutes,” The vampire whispered in my ear.

His dangerous voice sent a shiver down my spine. His hands grabbed my waist which made Lizzy growl and I jumped. What the heck does he think he was doing?

Lizzy was about to shut Ellen for good by making me shift into her but I had to stop her. We were in the mall parking, surrounded by a lot of CCTV cameras; if I shift, humans will know about us. That’s the sole reason why our warriors were still fighting in their human forms!

His hand went down from my waist to my butt and I kicked his balls. He freaking can’t touch me like that!

“You...” He glared at me.

His red eyes blazed with anger. I tried to run but before I could escape, I was pushed by another vampire and suddenly I was on someone’s shoulders. By the scent, I knew it was the same vampire but damn him! He was running so fast that I couldn’t bring myself to hurt him in any way! I wanted to hurt him and escape but with the blurriness around me and my hair all over my face, I couldn’t do anything else except for hitting his legs and back. But it wasn’t enough! He was strong enough to take those hits without any issue!

“Leave me!” I yelled.

He smacked my butt again, “Only after making you mine!”

What the heck! I would rather die!
