IRIS

All I could hear were distant muffled sounds. The moment I opened my eyes, I shut them back because of the bright light that hurt my eyes. I decided to lay back and study my environment.

"I wonder what happened overnight. She's doing exceptionally well and the idea of a blood transfusion has to be overruled now." The man in white said to another. He seemed to be a medical personnel. And he was speaking to Alpha Finn.

"I actually thought she was going to die or something." He turned to me.

The moment I saw his head tilting, I shut my eyes. I didn't want them to know I was awake. If they found out, they would stop talking and pay attention to me.

"She's all better now and will be awake in no time." The doctor said to him. I heard the door shutting and I guessed one of them or the two must have left the room. I wanted to open my eyes but I also needed to be sure that they were both gone.

I played unconscious for quite a while and when I was sure the room was empty, I opened my

IRIS "I want you." Alpha Finn's voice echoed in my head. I stared up at him with parted lips. I was gobsmacked by his statement. They felt raw and intimate in a bad way. I was gradually losing my sense of reasoning because of the way he stared back at me. I could already imagine him pounding deep into me. 'Keep it together, Iris.' I scolded myself mentally and looked away from him. "I don't know what you mean, alpha Finn," I said to him, feigning ignorance. His feet moved and in one swift move, he was sitting down beside me on the bed. "I know you have lots of questions running through your mind and my aim tonight is to ease those thoughts." His words brought about peace and comfort to my troubled soul. "I'm a vampire." He said. Maybe I didn't hear or understand what he said at first and just nodded. Seconds later, I was turning my head sharply to look at him. "Sorry?!" I exclaimed. "Yeah, you heard me. I'm a vampire. Well, half vampire half werewolf. My dad is the latter while

FINN "Oh come on Finn, we have a very important meeting and all you could do was—" Damon paused talking when he saw that I was glaring at him. "Get cozy with Iris." He scoffed. "And here I was, hoping you'd reject her so I can take over." He rolled his eyes as he and Arnold walked inside the room. "Can you shut up? You're so loud." I reprimanded. "You're lucky she didn't wake up." "Welcome back, alpha simp," Arnold smirked as he dragged out the chair roughly to my side and sat down. I glared daggers at him but he didn't seem to care. "What? She should wake up. You need to introduce us as her mates too. What's yours is ours too." He grinned mischievously."Get lost, both of you," I said in my harshest voice, pointing to the door. "No, thank you." Damon insisted. I sighed in defeat. There was nothing I could do to get the bast*ards out of my room. "This sleep is quite deep, you know. Damon's shouting and the screeching of the chair didn't wake her up. Are you sure you didn't —-"

FINN I pulled up in front of Iris' apartment and got out of my car. I pressed the lock button and headed inside. As I climbed up the staircase, I saw Raven coming from afar. There was no way I could dodge her since she had already seen me. I just squeezed my face and continued walking up. As we got closer to each other, she slipped on spilled water and almost fell but I was quick to catch her. Her headset had fallen from over her head and crashed to the ground. "Thanks." She said and moved away from me. She picked up her headset and continued her way downstairs. "Raven," I called out. She stopped and turned to me. "Yes, Alpha Finn." She responded. "I'll have my beta get you a new one," I told her. "Really? Thanks." She smiled and raced downstairs. I shook my head at her childishness and when I turned, I found Iris at the top of the stairs staring at me. She had a mop in her left hand and a trash can in the other. "There's water over there." I pointed to the slippery area. "I

AUTHOR Finn stared into her glistening eyes after she said that. She didn't have an amused look on her face but that didn't mean he took her seriously. "This is no time to joke, baby. Those words are sensitive. You shouldn't say them so expensively." He brushed her words aside as unserious. He felt she was too shy to ever mutter those words and mean them. "I'm serious," He looked at her face. She wasn't smiling. She held a pretty firm expression but Finn still doubted her words. She stood up from the seat and walked to the door. After locking it, she went back to sit by his side. "You think I'm still joking?" She asked, following his silence. She made to remove her top but he stopped her. "You're playing with fire, you know that? A whole f**king hell that could f**k the hell outta you." "Then f**k me, Finn." Her words were raw and reeked of want. It made Finn's head spin. She freaking called his name and was inviting him to screw her. Her right hand went to her right b00b and

IRIS That morning, I packed my books and headed straight for school. I suddenly remembered that I had a job and I didn't quit officially. I didn't know if anyone even missed my services. My hands slowly trailed the place where Finn had bitten this morning before he left. There was no mark or scar but I could still feel the fresh bite. I smiled and walked through the big gates. I walked to my locker dreamily, ignoring everyone and everything around me. All I could think of was only Finn and our splendid night together. I was too tired to even get up and have my bath but then, I had missed out on a lot in school and I didn't want to fall back in any area. "Earth to Iris!" I heard the familiar shriek of Anya. I flinched out of my cloudy thoughts and came face to face with an indifferent-looking Anya. I hadn't told her of her brother and me and I wondered if he said anything to her. This was a typical 'my best friend's brother' kinda scenario and I tried to avoid such but it seemed th

IRIS I watched as jealousy roamed the face of Raven as she stared at me. I guessed she was finding it hard to believe that I was the mate of the man she so badly wanted. "That's not true. You're lying." She said more in a whisper but I heard her. "What's not true?" I asked, pretending not to know what she was talking about. "Her? Come on, alpha Finn, you can do better. It can be anyone, anyone but Iris." She yelled as she clutched her new headset tightly. She wouldn't want that to get spoilt now, would she? Before I could open my mouth to say anything, she stormed inside. "Wow, that was a whole lot of drama." I shook my head as I watched her. "She's always like that. Don't mind her. How was training today?" He asked, embracing me warmly."Training?" I asked him. I didn't remember telling him I was going to a fighting class or anything. "Yeah, training. I asked Damon to teach you some basic skills. Seems like he didn't do it after all. Or did he go easy on you?" He inquired. "S

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~40

IRIS After school, I found myself in Damon's class again. He was even more strict than on my first day. He scolded me a lot and made me do hard stuff I felt was too early for me to do. "I'm tired, okay?" I said in frustration when I wasn't getting it. It was just the two of us in the room again. I growled angrily and sat on the floor. "Could be nicer? I'm new to this and I feel you're pushing me too hard." I complained. He ruffled his hair and turned to the wall. I could tell he was angry about something but he wouldn't just let it out. What was bothering him? He took some minutes of silence before turning back to me. "I'm sorry, okay? I just can't help it. He's making me lose my mind." He groaned and sat down beside me on the floor. He pushed his head back to the wall and shut his eyes. "Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked. "Of course. He's your boyfriend after all." He said. My face reddened at his statement. It was still all new to me. Who knew that a poor, battered girl li

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~41

IRIS It had been two days and no sign of Finn; no texts and no phone calls. It was as though he had been completely wiped from the surface of the earth. I found it difficult to concentrate in class. Finn occupied my kind as each hour passed by. There were times I wanted to regret every time I spent away from him but then, I still needed to hold onto my faith. After my encounter with Raven the other day, everyone found out I was mated to the alpha. Many approached me, telling me how happy they were to have me as their luna and not Raven. Guess she didn't have a good reputation. Even Roland was surprised and tried confronting me but I shunned him and warned him never to confront me ever in his life. Even Damon did the same thing when he took my warning lightly. He had formed the habit of always approaching me and it wasn't funny. He said something disgusting about not letting I and Anya go and that we belonged to him. I just tagged him as a child and reported again to Damon and the

FINAL EPISODE IRIS I woke up to the sound of glass shattering. I sat up immediately and looked at the accident that had happened. "Sorry, it slipped," Anya said with pleading eyes. She immediately picked up a broom and swept the dangerous, pointy materials away into the trash can. "What are you doing here anyway?" I asked her after she had finished cleaning. "I came to check up on you. I wanted to see how you were doing. My brother told me you were in the hospital. And also, Jason was worried about you. He's in detention tho. He'll swing by later in the evening." She explained after taking a seat."So, how are you feeling?" "Better, I guess." I laid back on the bed and tucked myself in. "Strong enough to leave this place this instant. I really hate the smell of hospitals." Anya giggled. "Who doesn't? Well, except for the doctors and nurses. Nobody likes to be sick and get confined in a pace that reeks of antiseptics." "Yeah, you totally get it." I sighed. "Actually, I'm her

He deepened the kiss and left me breathless at some point. Our foreheads met as we tried to catch our breath. "Iris, I better leave," He whispered. "Why?" I whispered breathlessly. Things were just getting started and he wanted to leave me like that. "You just woke up and must be feeling tired. I am myself right now." He shut his eyes and tried to walk away but I stopped him. "What? Are you scared you'll hurt me? But I'm fine." "Iris…" He called out impatiently. "I said I'm fine!" I yelled. My grip on him was strong. I wasn't ready to let go. I was frustrated. Wasn't he getting my point? "I'm sorry for yelling like that. I just—" Before I could finish my statement, Finn shut me up with yet another deep kiss. I was caught unaware and it was hard to keep up with him. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this." He pulled down his pan

IRIS Finn and I walked down to the nearest cafe. We decided to stay outside because of the scorching sun. After making sure I was seated, he went to the lemonade stand. I was left with my thoughts. I had witnessed everything that had happened but I was unconscious and scared. Though I saw Finn, Damon, and Anya fighting, I couldn't reach out to them. I thought I'd never wake up but after some days, I was able to get up on my feet. That was when I met Finn talking to the lady. She seemed pretty nice to have brought him cakes. I wished I had a taste of it. "Here," Finna announced, breaking me from my thoughts. "Thank you," I smiled and took the glass from him. He sat down while I sipped the juice. Finn was the only person on my mind when I woke up. I was supposed to be mad at him for what had happened between him and Zaria but I wasn't. "How are you feeling?" He asked. "I'm fine, I think so. I don't feel any pain in my head or any part of my body. I think I'm okay." I shrugged. H

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello, everyone. Thank you very much for reading this far into the story. We've entered the second half of the story and a whole new turn is about to take place. I will be introducing one or two new POVs. So hold onto your seat belts as we go on another journey entirely.**********VIOLET After the big battle, the pack members under the command of the alpha, started repairing the damaged parts of the town. It was nice seeing him so dedicated to his people and trying to help out in any way he can. My heart fluttered when he summoned my mother and I. He hardly does that himself and it was always his beta or gamma that always came to us. He was hardly seen around us but I got the opportunity to stand close to him that night. He even said he was expecting great things from us. He said his life was dependent on how long we covered the full moon. I felt it was such an honor. Today, I had gone with a gift to thank him for his hard work. I baked some muffins and cupcakes. T

FINN Finding my grandfather wasn't a big deal. My father and I had visited him since I was very young. I think I was seven years old when we went to him but I could remember how to get into his kingdom from start to finish. With the anger in me, I found my way to the cliff. I looked down and saw the rapidly moving water. Any random stranger would definitely not be able to get in because they didn't know what was down there. You could only get in when you think about a Golden Gate guarded by black demons. The water had a way of reading someone's mind. That was the power of black magic and that was why it was banned from coming into the world. It was dangerous and could serve as a tool for world domination. And it was what my grandfather had used to live for many years now. I made sure that I wasn't followed by anyone before jumping off the cliff with the gate in my mind. I held my breath as the water carried me. Soon, I arrived at the place. My clothes and my skin were dry. Such ev

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~56

FINN He was moving and fast. I wasn't expecting it. He was always two steps ahead and I never get to know what was in his head. That old man's mind was so twisted. The more reason he shouldn't be allowed to live longer. The problem was, how was I supposed to protect Iris while fighting off the bad guys? "How many guards are outside?" I asked him. "About six or seven." He replied. "Good. Get them in here now." I commanded. I looked at Iris in pity. Her body was going to tell on her when she wakes up. She had forcefully freed herself from the rope. That action made marks visible on her wrists. I knew it was going to hurt a lot and that was I why I wouldn't let her go through any pain again. Damon arrived with the guards. "Watch her," I said to them. "Guard her with your lives. If she gets out, it will be over for all of us." I briefed them before running out with Damon. Getting to the middle of the city, we could see that Hendrickson had already started causing severe damage and

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~55

FINN I didn't get to see Iris that night. I went home with Anya while Damon and Arnold tightened security. But I was sure that even with the security, my grandfather could do anything with his black magic. The only way was to get rid of him. I freshened up and went to my study. I needed to still look for ways to stop the ritual and clear my head. I had to apologize to Iris, protect her, and get rid of that old man for good or get him to stop his acts. I went back to the hospital the next day to meet Jason standing outside. He was staring at Iris through my window. Anya was standing right beside him, also looking at Iris. I felt my anger build up and I walked up straight to him. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Good morning, Alpha Finn." "I don't want to see you here. Get out." I pointed to the door. But he wasn't yielding. He just stood there, looking pitiful. "I'm sorry, Alpha Finn. I just came here to see my friend. I know I haven't been the best friend to her. I mean,

FINN I rushed to the scene of the party after Anya had called. I was furious. Since when did both Anya and Iris start attending parties? The strong scent of alcohol hit my nose and I scrunched my face. These kids were lucky that whatever they were doing here was far away from town. I would have broken down the building if possible. I ventured inside the house. None of them noticed me because they were all wasted. "If I see Anya like this, I'll make sure she gets grounded." I scoffed. I finally found her in one corner, taking shots. As I got to where she was standing, I cleared my throat. She flinched when she saw me. "Why are you scared? Weren't you expecting me?" I folded my hands. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I was just trying to forget everything. Jason doesn't want to hang out with me and I cut ties with Roland. Never in my life would I have done that." She whimpered. "Still doesn't warrant you coming here. Go home, Anya. I'll deal with you later." I said and wen

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~53

IRIS How dare he show his face to me after I told him to stay away from me? I would never forgive him. The fact that he didn't want to tell me about the kiss was enough proof to judge him. I needed closure. I needed to go out and clear my head. I got invited to the prom afterparty immediately after our test. The party was to be held that same evening. I planned never to go to a party but desperate times call for desperate measures. I needed my revenge to be served hot. I opened my wardrobe in search of something skimpy. I settled for a crop top, skinny jeans, and a jacket. I applied a little makeup before walking out of the room. I locked my door and exited the building. I ambled toward the road and stopped a taxi. I was driven to the manor where the party was taking place. It seemed it was already in full swing as the entire living room was crowded. Liam's parents had died in an accident, leaving the kid alone to live his reckless life. He threw parties almost every Friday and
