IRIS

I watched as jealousy roamed the face of Raven as she stared at me. I guessed she was finding it hard to believe that I was the mate of the man she so badly wanted.

"That's not true. You're lying." She said more in a whisper but I heard her.

"What's not true?" I asked, pretending not to know what she was talking about.

"Her? Come on, alpha Finn, you can do better. It can be anyone, anyone but Iris." She yelled as she clutched her new headset tightly. She wouldn't want that to get spoilt now, would she? Before I could open my mouth to say anything, she stormed inside.

"Wow, that was a whole lot of drama." I shook my head as I watched her.

"She's always like that. Don't mind her. How was training today?" He asked, embracing me warmly.

"Training?" I asked him. I didn't remember telling him I was going to a fighting class or anything.

"Yeah, training. I asked Damon to teach you some basic skills. Seems like he didn't do it after all. Or did he go easy on you?" He inquired.

IRIS After school, I found myself in Damon's class again. He was even more strict than on my first day. He scolded me a lot and made me do hard stuff I felt was too early for me to do. "I'm tired, okay?" I said in frustration when I wasn't getting it. It was just the two of us in the room again. I growled angrily and sat on the floor. "Could be nicer? I'm new to this and I feel you're pushing me too hard." I complained. He ruffled his hair and turned to the wall. I could tell he was angry about something but he wouldn't just let it out. What was bothering him? He took some minutes of silence before turning back to me. "I'm sorry, okay? I just can't help it. He's making me lose my mind." He groaned and sat down beside me on the floor. He pushed his head back to the wall and shut his eyes. "Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked. "Of course. He's your boyfriend after all." He said. My face reddened at his statement. It was still all new to me. Who knew that a poor, battered girl li

IRIS It had been two days and no sign of Finn; no texts and no phone calls. It was as though he had been completely wiped from the surface of the earth. I found it difficult to concentrate in class. Finn occupied my kind as each hour passed by. There were times I wanted to regret every time I spent away from him but then, I still needed to hold onto my faith. After my encounter with Raven the other day, everyone found out I was mated to the alpha. Many approached me, telling me how happy they were to have me as their luna and not Raven. Guess she didn't have a good reputation. Even Roland was surprised and tried confronting me but I shunned him and warned him never to confront me ever in his life. Even Damon did the same thing when he took my warning lightly. He had formed the habit of always approaching me and it wasn't funny. He said something disgusting about not letting I and Anya go and that we belonged to him. I just tagged him as a child and reported again to Damon and the

FINNAll around smelt of smoke and demons. Even though I was a half-demon, I despised their kind. They reeked of evil and all my beast ever wanted to do was rip them apart. It had been three days since I left my pack. I had been hunting the demons that threatened to ruin my pack and other werewolves. Three days of nonstop fighting and slaughtering. The demons were a threat to me.When Zaria was alive, she would always pester me to take her with me. It was dangerous and I spoke her out of it most times. But one day, she proved strong-headed. She was determined to come with me, even Arnold and Damon. Three against one, I decided to take them along. And there, I almost lost her. Good thing I had quick reflexes. Even after her near-death experience, she kept on talking about how we could befriend demons. Sure they were reasonable people but I knew that was impossible. They hated us because of my father. And wanted to wipe us from the face of the world. That night back where we camped,

IRIS I didn't know when I started crying. My heart ached a lot at the thought of almost losing Finn. The state I saw him in was maddening and it took me a lot of courage to be able to stand before him. I didn't want to be scared of him even though my legs were shaking. How did he get there? He was such a nice guy but yet, he had so much to take care of him. He could easily lose his life. It was a scary thing and I couldn't help but ponder on it. I didn't go back to school. I just went back to my apartment and sat down on the floor, resting my back on the bed frame. Why was the moon goddess mean to good people? Why does evil thrive but good struggle? Why can't she just take the life of those who threaten others? I lay down on the floor and shut my eyes. I just wanted all the pains to just vanish. ******I felt my body being lifted up and placed on a soft surface. I moaned when I felt his touch pulling my hair away from my face. I opened my eyes to meet Finn's eyes staring at me.

IRIS I dropped to the ground in sweat. My face and my body were drenched with sweat and I was struggling to catch my breath. Damon had been going hard on me just because, according to him, I was a fast learner and I was going better than almost everyone that started before me. "Get up, Iris," He said impatiently and clicked his tongue. His mouth was still bleeding from the punch I gave him. I thought that would be enough to make him stop but it just got him fired up. "I'm tired, okay? I can't go on." I replied breathlessly. Tracking my progress for the last three weeks, I was doing well and could defend myself in any battle. It was as though I was born for battle. Well, my dad was a beta and I have his genes, so yeah, that explains it. "The interschool competition is just weeks away. And I already picked you to represent our school in the tournament." "Wait, what?!" I finally found the strength to sit up while glaring at him. "Isn't this supposed to be something I get to decide?

IRIS I didn't bother about the strange lady I had met after I got to my apartment. I just removed my clothes and soaked myself in a tub of hot water. It relaxed my tensed muscles and I think I ended up sleeping inside. I got up from the water after hearing rattling noises coming from the kitchen. I tied my towel and went out to check who it was. Didn't I lock the door before going to bathe? I questioned myself. I walked slowly to where the sound originated from only to see Finn getting out plates from the nylon bag he had come with. I released a sigh of relief and walked closer. "What'd you get?" I asked. He didn't even freak out that I walked in on him without notice. Maybe he knew I was right behind him. "I got you chicken soup and some rice. They should be enough to film the wormhole in your stomach." "Great. Thank you." I stared at the food, salivating. I didn't know he was looking at my body as I stood there. It was then I noticed how short my towel was. I pushed some stra

FINN I was carefully watching the students participate in the competitions, from racing down to the basketball game. It was fun for most people who placed bets on it but I was worried about my Iris. I wondered how she was holding up. She didn't want to do this but I compelled her to. Would she back out or would she continue? How was she feeling? Those were the only thoughts in my mind. I wanted to mind-link her but I changed my mind. I already gave her enough motivational words yesterday and if she wanted to quit, she would have told me. I just hoped she would do well and not feel bad if she eventually loses. When it got down to the fighting section, I sat alright. The first two people from my pack came out; one lost and the other won. So, it was a draw. It was down to the last set of people to fight. If Iris wins, it would be a victory. But if she loses, it would be, well, a loss. But I didn't care about that. I just wanted her to come out safe and in one piece. The guys, not so

FINNI quickly sent for Damon and dismissed the little girl. I almost exploded. How dare Raven do this to Iris? I wanted to send for Raven immediately but I needed to make sure that she wasn't being falsely accused. I, for one, knew that she was capable of such given the reason that she didn't like Iris, not even for one bit. She always hated her right from the very first day she set her eyes on her. I knew Raven's parents. They were one of the nicest people I've ever met. I wonder where Raven got her rash behaviors from. First, it was the rape attempt. I let her go free for a while because of the relationship I had with her parents. And because it wasn't a success. But now, if she was responsible for the predicament of my mate, then, she would have to face me. "Find out if she was really the one behind this scheme," I said to Arnold. "Of course." He smiled. Arnold was somehow good at uncovering secrets and tracking down people. I wondered why he hadn't taken down Hendrickson ye

FINAL EPISODE IRIS I woke up to the sound of glass shattering. I sat up immediately and looked at the accident that had happened. "Sorry, it slipped," Anya said with pleading eyes. She immediately picked up a broom and swept the dangerous, pointy materials away into the trash can. "What are you doing here anyway?" I asked her after she had finished cleaning. "I came to check up on you. I wanted to see how you were doing. My brother told me you were in the hospital. And also, Jason was worried about you. He's in detention tho. He'll swing by later in the evening." She explained after taking a seat."So, how are you feeling?" "Better, I guess." I laid back on the bed and tucked myself in. "Strong enough to leave this place this instant. I really hate the smell of hospitals." Anya giggled. "Who doesn't? Well, except for the doctors and nurses. Nobody likes to be sick and get confined in a pace that reeks of antiseptics." "Yeah, you totally get it." I sighed. "Actually, I'm her

WARNING: QUITE A STEAMY CHAPTER AHEAD. RATED 18+. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! IRIS My hands rummaged through his lower abdomen as I kissed him. He deepened the kiss and left me breathless at some point. Our foreheads met as we tried to catch our breath. "Iris, I better leave," He whispered. "Why?" I whispered breathlessly. Things were just getting started and he wanted to leave me like that. "You just woke up and must be feeling tired. I am myself right now." He shut his eyes and tried to walk away but I stopped him. "What? Are you scared you'll hurt me? But I'm fine." "Iris…" He called out impatiently. "I said I'm fine!" I yelled. My grip on him was strong. I wasn't ready to let go. I was frustrated. Wasn't he getting my point? "I'm sorry for yelling like that. I just—" Before I could finish my statement, Finn shut me up with yet another deep kiss. I was caught unaware and it was hard to keep up with him. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this." He pulled down his pan

IRIS Finn and I walked down to the nearest cafe. We decided to stay outside because of the scorching sun. After making sure I was seated, he went to the lemonade stand. I was left with my thoughts. I had witnessed everything that had happened but I was unconscious and scared. Though I saw Finn, Damon, and Anya fighting, I couldn't reach out to them. I thought I'd never wake up but after some days, I was able to get up on my feet. That was when I met Finn talking to the lady. She seemed pretty nice to have brought him cakes. I wished I had a taste of it. "Here," Finna announced, breaking me from my thoughts. "Thank you," I smiled and took the glass from him. He sat down while I sipped the juice. Finn was the only person on my mind when I woke up. I was supposed to be mad at him for what had happened between him and Zaria but I wasn't. "How are you feeling?" He asked. "I'm fine, I think so. I don't feel any pain in my head or any part of my body. I think I'm okay." I shrugged. H

AUTHOR'S NOTE: Hello, everyone. Thank you very much for reading this far into the story. We've entered the second half of the story and a whole new turn is about to take place. I will be introducing one or two new POVs. So hold onto your seat belts as we go on another journey entirely.**********VIOLET After the big battle, the pack members under the command of the alpha, started repairing the damaged parts of the town. It was nice seeing him so dedicated to his people and trying to help out in any way he can. My heart fluttered when he summoned my mother and I. He hardly does that himself and it was always his beta or gamma that always came to us. He was hardly seen around us but I got the opportunity to stand close to him that night. He even said he was expecting great things from us. He said his life was dependent on how long we covered the full moon. I felt it was such an honor. Today, I had gone with a gift to thank him for his hard work. I baked some muffins and cupcakes. T

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~57

FINN Finding my grandfather wasn't a big deal. My father and I had visited him since I was very young. I think I was seven years old when we went to him but I could remember how to get into his kingdom from start to finish. With the anger in me, I found my way to the cliff. I looked down and saw the rapidly moving water. Any random stranger would definitely not be able to get in because they didn't know what was down there. You could only get in when you think about a Golden Gate guarded by black demons. The water had a way of reading someone's mind. That was the power of black magic and that was why it was banned from coming into the world. It was dangerous and could serve as a tool for world domination. And it was what my grandfather had used to live for many years now. I made sure that I wasn't followed by anyone before jumping off the cliff with the gate in my mind. I held my breath as the water carried me. Soon, I arrived at the place. My clothes and my skin were dry. Such ev

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~56

FINN He was moving and fast. I wasn't expecting it. He was always two steps ahead and I never get to know what was in his head. That old man's mind was so twisted. The more reason he shouldn't be allowed to live longer. The problem was, how was I supposed to protect Iris while fighting off the bad guys? "How many guards are outside?" I asked him. "About six or seven." He replied. "Good. Get them in here now." I commanded. I looked at Iris in pity. Her body was going to tell on her when she wakes up. She had forcefully freed herself from the rope. That action made marks visible on her wrists. I knew it was going to hurt a lot and that was I why I wouldn't let her go through any pain again. Damon arrived with the guards. "Watch her," I said to them. "Guard her with your lives. If she gets out, it will be over for all of us." I briefed them before running out with Damon. Getting to the middle of the city, we could see that Hendrickson had already started causing severe damage and

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~55

FINN I didn't get to see Iris that night. I went home with Anya while Damon and Arnold tightened security. But I was sure that even with the security, my grandfather could do anything with his black magic. The only way was to get rid of him. I freshened up and went to my study. I needed to still look for ways to stop the ritual and clear my head. I had to apologize to Iris, protect her, and get rid of that old man for good or get him to stop his acts. I went back to the hospital the next day to meet Jason standing outside. He was staring at Iris through my window. Anya was standing right beside him, also looking at Iris. I felt my anger build up and I walked up straight to him. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "Good morning, Alpha Finn." "I don't want to see you here. Get out." I pointed to the door. But he wasn't yielding. He just stood there, looking pitiful. "I'm sorry, Alpha Finn. I just came here to see my friend. I know I haven't been the best friend to her. I mean,

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~54

FINN I rushed to the scene of the party after Anya had called. I was furious. Since when did both Anya and Iris start attending parties? The strong scent of alcohol hit my nose and I scrunched my face. These kids were lucky that whatever they were doing here was far away from town. I would have broken down the building if possible. I ventured inside the house. None of them noticed me because they were all wasted. "If I see Anya like this, I'll make sure she gets grounded." I scoffed. I finally found her in one corner, taking shots. As I got to where she was standing, I cleared my throat. She flinched when she saw me. "Why are you scared? Weren't you expecting me?" I folded my hands. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "I was just trying to forget everything. Jason doesn't want to hang out with me and I cut ties with Roland. Never in my life would I have done that." She whimpered. "Still doesn't warrant you coming here. Go home, Anya. I'll deal with you later." I said and wen

  • Vampire Alpha's Mate    Chapter~53

IRIS How dare he show his face to me after I told him to stay away from me? I would never forgive him. The fact that he didn't want to tell me about the kiss was enough proof to judge him. I needed closure. I needed to go out and clear my head. I got invited to the prom afterparty immediately after our test. The party was to be held that same evening. I planned never to go to a party but desperate times call for desperate measures. I needed my revenge to be served hot. I opened my wardrobe in search of something skimpy. I settled for a crop top, skinny jeans, and a jacket. I applied a little makeup before walking out of the room. I locked my door and exited the building. I ambled toward the road and stopped a taxi. I was driven to the manor where the party was taking place. It seemed it was already in full swing as the entire living room was crowded. Liam's parents had died in an accident, leaving the kid alone to live his reckless life. He threw parties almost every Friday and
