Where My Heart Belong

Celia's Point of View.

Alpha Kelly's face was filled with anger and panic as he stormed into the room.

“Stop!” He shouted, his voice filling the large space of the room. I immediately froze; everyone froze. I haven't seen my fiancé with such an angry face before now. Immediately, the doctor stepped back and lowered the syringe as Kelly approached him. I was annoyed; I wanted to move close to Kelly to caress his body and confirm how he got to know about us and how he knew what we were about to do to this miserable jungle girl. However, I was stunned and watched him as he let out his fury. 

“What the hell is going on here?” He growled, his eyes moving between the doctor, the nurses, Luna Catherine, and myself.

“Kelly, you need to calm down…we were just…” before Luna Catherine could finish her words, Kelly cut her shut. 

“You were about to kill my child?” He snapped, his voice filled with anger and shock.

Luna Catherine's mouth opened and closed as she gasped like a fish battling for air.

“But…Kelly…she is nothing!” Her voice trembled. She's just a….”

“I don't care what you think she is, mother!” Alpha Kelly roared. I haven't seen him that way before; I couldn't believe he could act in such a way because of an ordinary, strange jungle girl.

“You can't decide what happened to my child! It should be my decision,” his voice rose as he moved closer to Luna Catherine.

I was stunned as I stood watching the drama of Kelly unfold. I was filled with a mixture of fear and annoyance. “Buy Kelly! She isn't supposed to happen! She has ruined everything!” I finally uttered, my voice raised against his. He immediately turned his gaze at me and stared deeply into my eyes. 

“I don't care what you think either! It's my responsibility, and I will deal with it my way!” I couldn't believe Kelly could say that to me. I began to believe his love for me was all lies. For the first time I saw him that furious, I couldn't believe he could be so protective and powerful because of the little jungle brat. 

“Take her back to her room!” He ordered the nurses, and no one dared touch her without my permission anymore!” He commanded, and I instantly felt some hatred towards him as I wondered if he had forgotten that we were getting married in a few months. 

“This isn't over, Kelly; you are really making a mistake, and I won't allow that to happen!” Luna Catherine said furiously as we walked out of the room. I was so enraged, and I stormed out of their sight furiously.

When I got to my pack, I met my mother, Luna Juliana, in the living room, her eyes glued to the television. She was unaware of what had happened to me. 

“The marriage with Alpha Kelly wouldn't be taking place anymore,” I said; it was at that point she realized my presence. She immediately stood up and walked towards me to the dining table, where I took a bottle of warm water and gulped it down my throat.

“What do you mean by that, Celia?” I clenched my fist, trying to keep my composure; however, it wasn't easy. Everything my mother and I had planned was crumbling right before my very eyes.

And I didn't know when I narrated all that happened to my mother; the moment I told her, she instantly became furious even before I could finish and slammed her hands right on the dining table, her face exuding fire. 

“This can't happen,” her voice rose high, and she paced up and down the dining room. “We have worked so hard for this, Celia. Alpha Kelly is yours. You are to marry him, and then we would have everything. His power, his wealth, all of it that belongs to Sunlight Pack, we have plans, right?” 

“I know, mother, but what do we do now? It seems he is already attached to the girl!” I responded to my mother, trying all my best to calm down; however, right within me, I was boiling with fury. 

My mother, Luna Juliana, stopped pacing and stared into my eyes, her eyes sharp and filled with the support that I needed. 

“We will call a meeting with the Sunlight Pack. We can't let it stand! He must send her back to where he took her from!”

I instantly nodded without hesitation and was relieved that my mother had immediately thought of a way out of the mess. The Silverclaw Pack and the SunLight Pack had always been allies; we were practically like family. I am sure Alpha Kelly wouldn't marry someone like Valera. Something must be done urgently.

The meeting started and it was a tense one, The elders of Sunlight Pack sat across from us; they wore stern and silent faces. Kelly sat on the sofa right behind the ceramic glass table, his expression wasn't readable. My mother was the first to speak; her voice was cold and commanding.

“Alpha Kelly,” she started. “This issue with that jungle girl cannot continue. That girl isn't in any way fit to be by your side! She is a nobody! Just an ordinary girl from the jungle. You have responsibilities to fulfil to your pack and to your people. You must send her back to where she came from.” My eyes immediately moved to Kelly, wishing he would agree; however, the moment he opened his mouth, I knew it would surely deviate from what we wanted. 

“I am not sending Valera back,” he said firmly, his voice echoing through the wall of the room. 

“She is carrying my child. I won't let her suffer in the jungle; my child deserves to grow up in a comfortable place, within a family, not in the wild jungle,”  he uttered, his voice filled with protection of Valera. My heart suddenly dropped, and I couldn't believe that Kelly was defending her, the worthless jungle girl. My mother glanced at me; she was shocked as I was, her mouth hung up in the air in disbelief. 

“But Alpha Kelly,” my mother pressed, trying to keep her cool. “Think about the future; think about what it could mean to your pack! She isn't one of us. She isn't worthy of you.” 

Alpha Kelly shook his head! “I have made my decision; Valera stays!”

I couldn't take it anymore; I was already boiling hard inside of me, and I couldn't hold the anger anymore. 

“So what exactly is it now, Kelly? You are going to just forget about everything we have worked for? You really want that girl to ruin everything?” I asked with a cold, stern voice. 

"No, Celia, I am not forgetting anything! That's why I have a solution to propose,” Alpha Kelly said, his voice lower as he turned to me, maintaining his gaze at me. 

“What solution?” I asked, frowning back at him. I was totally confused.

“This will be settled in a traditional way,” he said, rising from his seat. “A fight. You and Valera. I will marry whoever wins,” he said with a final tone. 

I blink my eyes in shock, trying to process his words. “A fight? He wanted me to fight that worthless girl just to have him?”  I glanced at my mother, who immediately gave me a slight nod, urging me to agree. A fight was the easiest thing for me. There was no way Valera could defeat me. She was weak and fragile and had grown up in the jungle, unlike me, who had trained all my life. 

“I accept,” I said quickly, standing up to my feet. “I will fight her,” Kelly nodded in agreement. “Good! The fight will take place in two days!” 

The meeting immediately came to a halt, and everyone began to leave; however, I couldn't help but feel a mixture of excitement and annoyance. It was my last chance to get rid of Valera once and for all. I will marry Kelly as planned; however, it wasn't the reason I wanted to win. Deep in my heart, I had my own secret. I didn't love Kelly. I had never loved him. My heart belonged to someone else. It was for Jeton, Alpha Kelly’s Beta.
