Chapter 3

LUPE'S POV

Laughter rippled out of my mouth as Garrett tickled my sides out of the blues. It's been two days since we met and it's safe to say that it has been blissful. He was given a suite in the pack house since he came to the pack on an official business pending the time that he was here.

He'll still be here until we finish the mating ritual. It's traditional that it's performed in the female's pack, especially if she is one of the alpha's blood. Although Garrett now knows that I'm not the alpha’s biological daughter, he agreed that we do the ceremony here since my mother is Luna. 

I still find it hard to tell him about the Lycan king which I needed to do before the mating ceremony. I can't leave such important information out, it was even still fresh to be brushed aside, he deserves to know. 

The Lycan king niche had died down, Mom said the king wouldn’t want to take me as his breeder seeing as I've met my mate already. And I couldn’t wait until Garrett and I become one fully. Both by the consummation of our mating and his mark that will forever be on my neck, visible to others that I was his.

Classical music was what he loved most before he knew me. His words have a special effect on my body. He doesn't even need to do anything to make my body respond to his lust, him being him turns me on normally. I let out a laugh in response to his words, snapping shut my legs as I felt my panties getting wet to how hard he was looking at me.

"It's rude to stare, you know?" I said.

"Not when it's to my mate." He laughed, noticing what I did.

I blushed. I turned my head to the side, allowing my hair to cover the side of my face. He pressed a kiss to my cheek.

Next, I felt his lips on mine, the soft goodness that I've grown addicted to already. I shut my eyes, savoring the taste of his lips, they caressed mine gently, when suddenly, he kissed me harder. When I started getting lightheaded, I broke the kiss and Garrett continued trailing kisses down my jaw to my shoulder.

"These are mine. Every part of you and I can't wait until when I'll devour this goddess shaped body. You're fucking ethereal." He murmured between kisses to a certain spot on my neck that felt a little bit ticklish. I needed no soothsayer to know that was where my mark would be.

A sudden knock on the door broke our intimate moment.

"Were you expecting anyone?" He asked me and I shook my head. 

Garret sighed and walked to the door. He opened it slightly, inaudible words were exchanged between him and the person on the other side of the door. Garrett suddenly shouted, slamming shut the door after.

"Who was that?" I asked, standing up from the bed. 

I walked towards him.

"Kiera, your sister." He said in a hard tone. 

My heartbeat quickened as he mentioned her name. She was my worst nightmare. What the hell does she want? She traveled and wasn’t meant to be back till next month. Did she tell him about the Lycan king?

"Why are you angry, then?" I maintained a neutral face and tone.

"She tried to seduce me! Said I might need a good fuvk before mating with you. That you’re a virgin." He snarled and I furrowed my brows. 

That witch.

I'm not surprised there. Kiera could sleep with anything, as long as it has a dangling thing between its legs and can move its body. But trying it with MY MATE is what I won't overlook.

“She have the guts. We must teach her not to mess with anyone’s mate.” Leah said in an angry too.

"I need to prepare for tonight. See you later." I pressed a kiss to Garrett's cheek and made a move to go out but he stopped me, grabbing my hand.

"You said you wouldn't need to do that until evening. It's only afternoon." He said and his eyes gave pleading stares.

"I just remembered that I needed to take care of something before the event and its pretty time consuming." I replied, trying so hard to resist the urge to run out of the room which would only provoke Garrett and his wolf, at his mate running off like that.

They've both been on edge since we aren't mated yet. He has been extra protective and possessive. I've never fully stepped out of the room without him by my side. I've been glued to his side most of the time even though we barely did anything. And I tried to make sure he doesn’t have any private discussion with the Alpha.

Unknown to him, he came with a message for the Alpha, still requesting my presence to be his breeder. Garrett didn’t know the content of the letter. And mum, had a way to persuade the Alpha.

"Like I said, I just remembered. You'll see me again in no time. I love you!" I said and ran out the door.

That was the first time I told him 'I love you'.   

Walking towards the direction I knew Kiera would go. Fuming with anger, as though everything she had done to me since we met just infused a new level of anger in me. 

I was the happiest when she announced that she needed to travel for her studies in another pack which was the only pack with a college. I've always just kept quiet. Almost every pack member knows everything about how I'm an omega, all thanks to her. She poisoned their minds of how I constantly cause my mother and her father to have disagreements. The gullible pack members too, saw me as the devil who would someday separate their Luna and Alpha. Although they rarely hurl insulting words at me, the looks on their faces on seeing me says everything and more about how they felt about me. Parents warn their pups to stay away from me, especially those who think I do not deserve to even live with the alpha and Luna since I'm an omega.

I walked towards where Kiera stood, discussing with a pack warrior. She looked back and her lips curled up in a mocking smile as she saw me. She must have smelled me coming. Then, she turned back to the warrior and traced fingers down his visible chest.

"How about we do this later? Come look for me, you know where to find me." She uttered seductively, not minding I was near enough to hear.

The idiot grinned and walked off.

"Let me guess, he's the next available person after my mate turned down your offer?!" I yelled, effectively grabbing the attention of people around.

"I wouldn't know if he would be loyal to you without giving him a test, would I?" Kiera said, defending herself so innocently.

"Oh, I don't know we are now some sweet and close sisters who would go as far as helping one another test their mates. What else do you want from me? You have everything already. Why do you derive joy in thinking you could take away everything you see would be my source of happiness?" I asked while trying to control my anger. No matter what, she was my half-sister.

"What I want from you? It's to fucking disappear off the face of the earth. You disgust me! gods, do you know how it feels like to share the same house with an omega? It fucking irks me! I might need to do a full cleaning of that house when you leave with 'your mate'. It would have been better if you had been sold off to the Lycan king!" She yelled back at me.

And it stroked me. She knew. Her father must have told her.

“That’s why she came playing around with our mate.” Leah mumbled and I staggered backwards.

“What are you planning?” I asked after realization.

Kiera walked closer to where I stood. "Do your mate know that you are being wanted?" She asked with a smirk.

I gave her a blank look; a look I've gotten so used to that it has become a neutral expression on my face. 

"Yes, you have problems with that?" The question slipped off m

y mouth before I could control it.

“You suck at lying!” She laughed. “Enjoy the fun!”
